We're only three-and-a-bit months behind!
Elvish new year is April 6th (Shire calendar). They're right on time
A Longman is never late. Nor is he early. He comes exactly when he means to.
I love Rags' impression of Bill Burr Gandalf "Frodo! Oh, boy!"
Stellan Skarsgard as Denethor and Charlie Day as Pippin
The Ultimate LotR remake is a one man show, helmed by Jared Leto.
The obvious cringe actor for Gandalf is Keanu Reeves
Will Ferrel! :D
@@casbyness with that abysmal accent he did for Sherlock Holmes? I'd struggle to find worse
Woah
I was thinking of Keanu as cringe Elrond
Legolas recast: Serious: Ryan Gosling; Whacky: Ryan Reynolds; Cringe: Ezra Miller.
Terry Crews with Gollum voice:"Pah pah pah pah pah pah pah precious!"
Cringe cast for Frodo huh, I would’ve said Tom Holland
Ew, I could totally see that happening
Or Daniel Radcliffe.
I want Stellan Skarsgard to play Denethor and then cast Alexander and Gustaf Skarsgard as Boromir and Faramir. Cool as fuck.
Alexander would be excellent as either, but especially Boromir. He'd nail that thinly-veiled desperation mingled with valiant honor
Bill Skarsgard as golem?
Tilda Swinton Gandalf
Cringe for Frodo & Sam? Gotta go with Amy Schumer & Melissa McCarthy.
Dream recast of gandalf would be Timothy Dalton for me
Damian and Marlon Wayne's for merry and pippen lol
Goofy Sauron would be Ian McDiarmid, just add in several Sauron scenes where he gets to be eeeeevil
I'm a Star Wars Legends/EU fan who's not _quite_ on the level of Ryan Kinel - but I'm close. Listening to y'all talk about all of the possible stories of Force users that weren't Jedi... it's a perfect example of what I find so wholly frustrating about Disney Star Wars.
Topics like non-Jedi Force users and other Force manifestations _were_ explored at least a little bit in Legends - the Caamasi, the Jensaarai, and even just sub-sects of "standard" Jedi who had their own traditions, like the Corellians... I would've loved to see some of those cultures/topics explored rather than just touched upon. I've had to admit to myself that, as much as I love them, most of the books do a piss-poor job of moving away from the Skywalkers and doing some serious world building.
To wit, one of my absolute favorite EU books is "I, Jedi," which is the _one_ book where someone had the chutzpah to at least float the idea of there being other races/cultures that use some manifestation of the Force, and it's the only book I know of in the whole EU that's written in first person rather than third person. It still strongly features the Skywalkers, but at least the main character is someone different!
Anyway, clearly I was triggered. I think I'm allowed after wishing that book would get a proper adaptation for 20+ years!
I think Robert Pattison would make a great Aragorn
1:28 Thanks for clearing that up for me Frongold
Benedict Cumberbatch = Elrond. Anya Taylor-Joy = Arwen. Because they already look like elf-people no makeup required.
And Matt Smith as Legolas would be hype af
Gary Oldman as Gandalf
David Tennant and Michael Sheen as Merri and Pippin
Viggo as Theoden
Peter Capaldi as Denethor
Elizabeth Debiki as Galadriel
Theo James as Aragorn
Ben Affleck as Gandalf would be ultimate cringe.
Ian Mcdiarmid's Palpatine as Gandalf or Elrond
"No, No, No, None shall pass!"
"Cast it into the fire! DO IT!"
Anthony Hopkins for Denathor
What? No love for my boy Paddy Considine with the LOTR re-casting?
RIP to all who have passed since submitting their superchats.
Charles Dance would have to be Saruman
Let’s make Bill Burr in famous movies a regular gag
Bill Burr and Jiminy Cricket should be a buddy cop duo.
"Uh . . . Y'know, Bill . . . You probably could've helped that drug dealer back there. Now I _understand_ we can't pick every battle, but wasn't standing by and letting him lose his kneecaps a little cruel?"
"Nah I think it's fine. It'll be good for him."
Whacky casting for Merry and Pippin: Cheech and Chong
for God of War, while I like 4 and 5, I do admit I want something that feels more like the first 3. To clarify, I'm perfectly fine with an entirely new character or even a new series that steps far and away from Kratos, I just would like playing as an angry bastard ripping through enemies in fun hack and slash combat, while still having a decent story attached to it. GoW 1-3 didn't have THE BEST story ever, but it really worked for the games
a few games tried to capture the same feel as the OG trilogy but I felt they just didn't hit the mark for one reason or another
A God of War game without Kratos?
Good luck selling that to the audience he’s a major reason why those games are popular to begin with
@@TheBlackAdder1964 not exactly a GoW game, but a game in the same vein as it. Like how Silent Hill and Resident Evil have overlaps in design and mechanics
Have you tried space marine? Its a mix of third person shooter and hack and slash set in the 40k universe.
Not liking onions is common but not too common.
Yes, new year is indeed almost upon us
James Corden cringe cast would obviously be Sam.
I literally recoiled reading this, so you win lol
Corden WOULD NOT go back up the stairs.
@@samwallaceart288 Gollum wouldn't have needed to frame Corden because he really did eat all the rations
James Corden as Theoden, you're welcome for the image.
59:00 Let me fix this for you.
"By the time Thrawn comes back around, I think people will be like 'okay. He'll get it right this time' and if he fails it again, and he does that same copey thing, like, yeah. _THEY'LL SAY HE'LL GET IT RIGHT NEXT TIME._ " and the time after that. and the time after.... I honestly don't know what it would take for _certain people_ to turn on Filoni.
Terry Crewes as Gollum made me spit out my drink 😆😆😆
South Park examines Kyle and Cartman’s dynamic that he needs someone to rip on since Butters is too agreeable while Kyle needs someone to fuel his ego. The episodes I’d site is the one where Kyle moved to San Francisco after his dad bought a hybrid and when Cartman painted a cow red
I would happily move Hemsworth in the cringe bucket for Aragorn... 😅 (as a horrible fit, not cause he's bad)
I can only think of 1 good reason for the army in rebel moon not to blast them from orbit straight out of the gate, which is the food they have stored and the food yet to be harvested.
That's why they might send soldiers on the ground to fight them. But still, they should be able to annihilate them with close to zero losses to the "imperial army"
But knowing Snyder's works, they might carpet bomb the farmers, hit almost none of them, destroy the food (possible motivation for revenge in the third movie), and still lose after sending their troops to fight on the surface.
Kratos is best dad, fact
Tom Hardy as Gimli.
Sweet, only a coupla days after Elvish New Year!
Happy Yestare to all 🙂
New year already? My goodness The year really fly by
Kal survived order 66
Matt Smith as Elrond
Mark Hamill as Gollum
Zach Galifianakis as Samwise
I am now need memes of Ray Winston as Baylan.
Flight of the concords for Mary and pipin
My submission for cringe Gandalf: Harrison Ford. He's great, but it would be one of the worst casting errors in history.
omg rags said he's be good as it later lol
I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. I'd listen to an entire episode about cringe and goofy casting for LOTR.
I got so invested that when they moved on I acquired loss.
Genius superchat question. Now I'm sad that we will never get to see any of these. I don't want entire movies with these castings, but can you imagine short skits or particular scenes? I'd buy that shit immediately.
As for the LOTR question, how did they not mention Henry Cavill as Aragorn?
Whacky Random Casting:
Jim Carrey as Saruman
Danny DeVitto as Gimli
Mo Colins as Galadriel
Jeff Goldblum as Elrond
Hayden Christiansen as Boramir
Coming soon to a theater near you... Nicolas Cage is Legolas.
47:30 Rags has bidenbrain, Mauler definitely mentioned that game before and how angry it made him. I think in reference to many projects piling up?
For the Cringe Lotr casting. Brie Larson as Galadriel:P
For Whacky, Steve Buscemi as Aragorn:P
Mark Hamill as Theoden. Quinton Reviews as Faramir.
Jared Leto as wacky Gollum
42:34 - It's only a matter of time that you guys don't play DDLC
1:21:25 wasn't expecting an Adam Friedland Show reference
Brad Pitt as Frodo
Jared Leto as Samwise
Nick Cage as Elrond
Idris Elba as Saruman
Danny Devito as Legolas
Terry Crews as Gimli
Timothee Chalamet as Gandalf
Ezra Miller as Aragorn
Mindy Kaling as Galadriel
I honestly can see Michael Keaton as Gandalf.
Michael Cera as Aragorn
Hi Rags's's
re: I grew up surrounded by water
Tatooine is such a harsh planet you have a literal proffession set up around FARMING MOISTURE
"Year of the Loong"
Shaquille O'Neal as wacky Gandalf
My favorite part of lotr was when Frodo called Sam a handsome hunka hunka
I will throw my vote in for Patton Oswalt as cringe Gandalf
He's cringe everywhere.
1:09:28 oh that didn’t age quite so well (key word star grift)
Tom Holland as Frodo
Timothy Challamenge as Sam
Jason Mamoa as Gimili
Ben Stiller as Legolas
Henry Cavill as Aragorn
Gal Gadot as Eowyn
As a Sam, I reject your choice.
Théod-en, no!
For serious casting, I honestly think Sam Neil would work as Denathor.
If we go with the recast an actor from a different role for LotR, I'd like to see Andy Serkis as Gandalf or Borimir.
Wacky lotr recasting: David Spade as Frodo and Chris Farley as Sam (at the age of when they did Tommy Boy... and Chris was alive lol)
44:16 Ok, who was playing on Steam there? :P
Destiny is a clown 🤡
What’s Mauler favourite tv series? I want to watch them
Jhona Hill as Sam is like butter to my Danny DeVito Frodo bread.
Channing Tatum as Legolas!
10:33 Kenneth Branagh as Gandalf and Javier Bardem as Sauroman.. you’re welcome
I would flip them. Branagh going full Iago as the traitor in white; Javier as the rough-and-tumble friendly stranger you meet on the road
@@samwallaceart288I think that would work well, both are pretty versatile.
People that say they don’t like onions are actually just ignorant to cooking and how important onions are. Rags probably hates the “spice” that biting into raw onion has, so he just thinks that’s what onions always taste like, but he’s just wrong.
The guy who saved baby yoda survived
1:09:35 this was made before star grift died. :( very sad
Sylvester Stallone as Frodo?
37:00 : onions are like ogres so I have to love them
Cringe Denethor: Creepy Ned Flanders from Batwoman
Cringe Galadriel: Jennifer Lawrence
Serious Saruman: Stellan Skarsgard
Wacky Gandalf:
Neil Breen
I completely agree with that hot take.
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes is objectively better than Prime 1. The world is more consistent, the controls are vastly improved, the story is more interesting with the Ing and the light/dark approach, the designs are far more original than Prime 1 including Samus’s new suits, and the harder difficulty makes it far more rewarding as a game. Plus it’s darker tone with shadow creatures that’s weakened by light gives me some strong Pitch Black vibes.
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes is the Empire Strikes Back of the Metroid franchise, it took everything that made Prime 1 great and vastly improved and expanded upon it.
holy crap they dont even have to make videos anymore. I like... never tune in to the efap streams
and ive just finished watching all of rags and mauler's videos and going "hrrmmm i wonder if they will do mor-" nope nope they are all on efap now..
You don't think being 4 MONTHS behind on superchats is a little insulting to the people that give you money?
Jack black wacky pippin
singleplayer open world RDR2 or GTAV style game about becoming and being a parent
It's April
Serious Frodo: Jake Gyllenhaal.
Wacky Gandalf: Leslie Nielson.
Cringe Aragorn: Tom Cruise.
Wacky Gimli: "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
This was me thinking of actors at the time the trilogy was made. I think JG had auditioned for Frodo, may be tbinking of someone else
Cringe Gandalf: Robert DeNiro.
Chris Pratt should obviously be Gollum
4:31
I don’t want any new Mario movies either because not only were the references rather obnoxious, but the actors were horribly miscasted and ultimately this is a “and then” kind of film. There’s absolutely no story or structure to the new Mario movie at all compared to the 93 live action film and/or the 80’s Super Mario Bros 3 cartoon show which is still by far the best Mario adaptation.
❤
I disagree with Rags on the OT ranking. My problem is that 6/10 rankings is mostly reserved for above average films, and ROTJ is definitely on par with ANH as an 8/10 ranking since they’re both flawed films that has withstood the rest of time. Sure it’s the weakest of the 3 films, but it’s in no way a bad film. All 3 films of the OT are solid in my eyes, same with the Indiana Jones Trilogy.
How didnt nic cage come up as a choice
Kevin hart for wacky Frodo
Cringe Galidrial = Anna Kendrick 19:00
Mauler mentioned Star Grift
He doesn't know 😂
Wacky Gandalf -:Fringy, "Bill Burr" LOL. Also, cringe casting should include race / sex swaps for no reason
