I'm going to disagree with the caffeinated drinks. I've been diagnosed with ADHD since the age of 7. I can honestly say caffeinated drinks mellow me out and keeps me alerted.
Thank you I struggle to formula articulate l'y what your videos mean to me. They mean a lot and I want to say thanks by leaving comments on every video I watch
Gluten Gluten Gluten. If my brain could hug me the day I gave it up, it would have! Even my primary care doctor couldn't figure it out. She kept throwing all those heartburns meds at me, not realizing that it didn't just stop at the stomach, my brain was also affected. It took a coworker of mine, who was wondering why I was working from home (before it became a thing of course) one morning and I described all the symptoms I felt. She asked directly: did you have bread for breakfast? Guilty! She asked me to have the same exact breakfast I had the next day, and leave out the slices of bread. 🤯🤯🤯. I thought it was just a fluke so I had breakfast the following day again without bread: 🤯🤯🤯. It was like I was finding a new me. I literally called my parents that weekend and told them that I've finally found the culprit for my moody mornings, after 20+ years.
I definitely feel better if I avoid wheat, but am not sure if it's a gluten allergy. What is the best way to determine if it's an allergy or just insulin sensitivity from processed carbs? If you know it's an allergy, can you just do an elimination diet, and add back specific components of wheat individually to know for sure which part is to blame? I might try an elimination diet and add back in vital wheat gluten (into something like meatballs) to see if it affects me like pure white flour does.
Good info here, but I also think most of the advice applies to anyone, ADHD or not. It's just that if you have ADHD the negative effects are more noticeable. I did food elimination trials quite a few years ago to see if I could get rid of migraines and it worked! Now I strictly avoid simple starches and sugars, gluten and processed food, and I find that my head is so much clearer and I have more energy than before. The times when I do consume them, such as when someone else is preparing food and I don't want to be an awkward guest, it takes a good few days to get back to feeling ok. I haven't eaten fish (or meat) for over 20 years so I can't say how that affects me, but I've heard that the larger fish have higher levels of mercury because they accumulate the mercury from the many small fish they eat.
Yes a lot of these foods can apply to anyone's health but these foods especially impact or ADHD brain the most. Nice to hear you found the elimination diet helpful thank you for sharing :)
The advice to avoid caffeine is peculiar. It's a stimulant which is not tailored specifically to ADHD treatment but nonetheless can and does provide many people with ADHD a needed boost in focus. As with anything, talk to your actual doctor - one with an MD after their name - about stimulants of all kinds if you have ADHD.
Dammm, to late for the stream. Wanted to thank you for the advise about phosfitidalyserine! I take it now with liquid fishoil. The first thing that realy works for me. Great focus. Now remains only the strugle of doing te right things with this focus. Maybe addiction is a nice topic for another livestream/video? (have allot of trubles putting my phone away wen I need to work. And once I watch on my phone, its almost impossible to get back to work.)
oh that makes me happy that you found my advice helpful thanks for letting me know. And yes I will be making an ADHD and addiction video it is scheduled for me to make it here in about a month so stay tuned for that one :)
Ok so what should we drink? I can't drink bitter drinks so just green tea is not un option for me. Is the only other option vegetable juices and water?
I have a shellfish allergy, and I used to take Omega-3 supplements, which really helped my brain, but even the “shellfish free” tablets tend to set off my allergic reactions. Are there any you specifically recommend?
you can try flaxseed oil which has omega-3's here is a link to get 10% OFF of Barleans Flaxseed oil: us.fullscript.com/protocols/dpeterson1521230596-flaxseed-oil
I ended up eating only meat because everything else made me tired. Due to my mother's diabetes, we avoid foods with added sugars, and since my father is allergic to nuts, we steer clear of those too.I hate my diet. It's like losing 30% of your life quality.
So you’d rather see people drink regular soda with High Fructose Corn Syrup in it, which is terrible for you, rather than drink a zero calorie diet soda with Aspartame? I drink Diet Ginger Ale pretty consistently these days, and it has zero negative affects on me. Aspartame is only harmful in large amounts.
As mentioned in the first section soda is still listed as a dangerous food but a lot of diet drinks have other harmful things added to it then just aspartame to make up for the no sugar. Some can be better than others but for the most part I have seen that they add a lot of harmful replacements
He says he doesn't replace the advice of YOUR physician. Why would you want to take medical advice from medical doctor who has never met you? But most physicians have no idea about inflammation, diet and mental function.
@@johnmiller0000 Why wouldn't MDs know about those things? If it's well-documented in peer reviewed medical literature, it would be taught in medical school or learned during the medical residency. If it's not backed by consensus science, that would be an explanation for why MDs might not talk about it
@@ems7623 You would like to believe that's the case but I find the level of knowledge of many MDs to be disturbing. I have had to educate so many. It's long, sorry tale of misdiagnosis and just general ignorance. The number of times I have gone to my doctors with peer-reviewed articles that I found about their field that they had no idea about is a worry.

It’s interesting to see this list. I’ve instinctively removed some of these especially the beverages listed. Made a huge difference eliminating them.
Mercury fillings in our mouths is also bad

Aspartame metabolizes into formaldehyde which is what we embalm bodues with.

Common food allergies - most grains as the gluten is the culprit

High in fructose corn syrup - it should be outlawed due to what it does to our liver
Is tilapia bad for mercury related inflammation?
I eat tilapia like almost every day lol,i wonder if chicken could be a replacement
Hydrogen peroxide is a great sanitizer.Because the breakdown products are water and oxygen gas.

coffeine by itself is not ideal but when combined with l-theanin as in green tea and guayusa it´s good.
How about glutamate?
Thank u! Sir 🙏🙏

Try Zevia. Neither of those & sweetened with stevia.
I don´t like the way you say juice, have you ever tried saying fruit-flavored soft drinks?
"Juice is a healthy thing" do people actually still think this?
Man! What’s left to eat?
Lean meat and veges. Basically you can live off of home made main meals and stir fry's with water.
People who say caffeine gives them energy are just addicted. Caffeine gives you some and then takes back 10 fold
