Planning a Scream marathon with my teenage daughter and ending in theaters with 6. I want that 🥤! Hope there is something cool with Evil Dead in April as well !
Agreed completely with all your points on the film. It was a fun ride, the riffing and banter felt real, like of course you're going to be sarcastic in a stressful situation. I also like how this one was completely different from last year's entry, it feels like they're trying to break away from the original and become it's own.. trilogy I guess (7 was announced right on Scream VI's release) bringing Kirby back was such a brilliant move and I hope we get to see more of her in the next one but the original 'legacy' characters I feel the next film could do without, they've had their stories and runs. See how the Core Four and Kirby go with whatever happens next. Awesome Scream cup! We don't get promotional items in cinemas here in Sydney anymore and I'm missing out!
You hit the nail right on the head.. if only these new characters weren’t so bland, and had more dialogue, particularly Ethan, and lose at least one of the food guys to up the tempo, it would’ve been the best scream movie.. it’s really up there though.. good video! Love from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
I'm not to much of a fan of the series but loved the 1st movie and technically the show. The 5th entry was good but this movie was in my opinion the best in the series.
I liked this one, but didn't love it. I def agree that Ghostface felt way scarier this time, and that was pretty awesome. The reveal fell super flat for me, though.
I really liked it. So much so that I started to rewatch all the scream movies. I really like the whole idea behind Scream very much. It is different on a very deep level from so many other slasher horror movie "series". Maybe because there is no supernatural side to it. I really look forward to Scream 7 now. Going "darker" and a bit more serious, without losing the core "fun" of it won't be easy. But I am sure it is doable, especially with this cast.
I saw it exactly the same way you did. Kills were brutal, Ghost Face was more menacing. The core 4 felt like a family. NY was used well. But the ending was lame and how people kept surviving multiple stab wounds was terrible. I really liked the scene after the first kill when Ghost Face was returning to his/her real life, just something about that visual felt dangerous. Like it was a different kind of killer, like more of a serial killer who'd kill anyone than someone just after the Carpenter family and friends.
I liked Scream 6 but other than the sisters, I don't care about the other new characters. I would have loved a movie with just Gale and Kirby. It's really a travesty that they didn't make Gale a more central character in 5 and 6. She is a total bitchy badass and I adore her. The new characters are so damn bland and boring. Why not just focus on classic characters for a change? I'm glad all the Scream movies have been pretty good though. I really hope the next one kills off the person who should have died in 6. You know who I'm talking about. That was ridiculous
No Scream sequal or requal will ever surpass the original
I love your content! So glad you're talking about the movie! The ladder scene was wild!

I can't wait to see this!
Man, that cup is awesome! As a fellow casual fan Scream VI sounds decent. I see the same complaints in multiple reviews now.

I enjoyed Scream 5 and I’m really looking forward to seeing this one - I’m glad they’re honoring Wes Craven’s legacy.
People getting stabbed multiple times without any lasting effects was really poorly done. Sometimes its fatal and sometimes its just an inconvenience

Are you going going to talk about the Melissa Barrera situation?

I enjoyed this movie so much! This is my favorite franchise of all time but I can admit the ending was the weakest part of the movie
