LOVED the opening kill!!! And as a huge fan of Scream 4 (my favorite behind the original), I loved having Kirby back 🖤 The killer reveal for this one was a little lack luster for me, too. And I agree, nottttt enough characters died in this one. I can suspend disbelief for Quinn’s body getting switched out, but it’s hard for me to believe that Chad could get stabbed as much as he did and make it
I really really liked the movie as well!! I got a few nitpicks but overall really liked it. The nitpick are just like yours. Kill people that's the point. The opening was amazing because it was different and worked well!! The killer reveal was so so for me. But gale and Ghostface scene was great! But I think this was a very solid! Great video as well man!!
Even though I’m not a huge horror fan, I do like Scream though. I’m glad they brought back Kirby from Scream 4, but I’m still sad and disappointed that they killed off Dewey like that in Scream 5

I had the same nitpicks you did. I don’t know if this is top 3 for me, personally. It’s still good. I liked the characters more this time around. I did find myself missing Neve Campbell though. I was oddly disturbed/unsettled with the killers lair/shrine to all the past murders. It’s the idea that Ritchie’s Dad, feed into his sons obsession that much to steal evidence.
I trimmed a line out of the review where I mentioned the idea of a whole family hopping on board with a murder revenge plot to be a little much. And as far as the evidence stuff, it's cool that he stole all the stuff but, like, is nobody noticing that literally ALL of the evidence is missing? When the sister killer, started in with the exposition about her brother dying and he dad moving to be closer… I had my guess that we were heading that way, but when I thought they’d killed her off. I said “Back to the drawing board, Scoob!”
I agree with you- I found the killer reveal to be a letdown. Just seemed like they ran out of ideas. The rest of the movie delivered. The fact that it’s the 6th movie and it’s still a solid entry says a lot.
Sorry but I actually think Sam's brutality and inner darkness is honestly the most interesting aspect of the new sequels, and I love a lot of aspects about them. I loved how she took out Ghostface at the end!

@@nileshollowthorn They don't. It's not a ghost at all. It's Sam's imagination. It's like an audience can hear a character's inner monologue. It doesn't mean the character is actually projecting their voice with their minds. There are zero supernatural aspects in this franchise.
I wish people would stop saying "Force Ghost Billy". There are no ghosts in any of these films. "Billy" is just a manifestation of Sam's fear (turning into a killer). It's her subconscious. It makes perfect sense that it would "help" Sam because it's really just Sam's survival instincts helping her. It's just using her hallucinations as the conduit. I'm not saying anyone has to like it, but at least call it what it is. NOT a ghost. NOT a redeeming arc for Billy. NOT a father trying to protect his daughter.

@@jasonblack7976 Yeah, I kept wondering who the mysterious "brother" or "son" was. The apartment scene as whole though was super good though.

It doesn't have to be a literal Force Ghost for it to not be what they are trying to do.
