people under the stairs is such a great movie that deserves more love. it balances the creepiness of the villains with how funny they can be. also i think they kidnapped that girl and the people under the stairs. i hope it never gets remade.
So many great movies ideas to add to my list, thank you. I'm kind of surprised you didn't have the new Salem's Lot on your list. It comes out to Max on Oct 3rd.

@MandysMorgueofHorror this is awesome! I’m a fairly new subscriber and I’m trying to watch as many horror movies as I can for the rest of the fall up until winter starts just so I can plan for my 2 month fall horror extravaganza every year so that way I have planned out what to watch so I’m not spending time searching for what I want to watch every year when fall rolls around so, unless I want to mix it up one year I can but having some sort of tentative plan in place for what I want to watch horror wise every fall should definitely help
This is a great list. I would love to re-watch a bunch of these--- been so long since I've seen "Tales From the Hood", and, wow, "Body Snatchers"! I loved "Body Snatchers" when I was in middle school. I love the original, and the remake from the 1970s, but "Body Snatchers" doesn't get enough credit, in my opinion. Setting it on a military base was interesting... and I had such a crush on Gabrielle Anwar. And you're right, Meg Tilly is great. So many good movies on this list... thanks!
You have so many great films on your list! Your genuine enthusiasm is so wonderful; I really love your videos! Have a very wonderful and super Happy Halloween! 🙂👻

Oh my gosh I recognize that house in “Burnt Offerings”, that’s the Dunsmuir House in Oakland, CA! It’s a beautiful place especially at Christmastime! ♥️
So many great tips here, thank you! I am especially interested in the older ones. I've been obsessed with older movies in general lately, especially John Cassavetes/Gena Rowlands-movies, but I haven't really seen many older horror movies, except The Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby and the "big" ones, and that needs to change!

Great list of options as always! Happy Spooky season, Mandy!
Rose Red sounds like what Stephen King wanted the 1999 remake of the Haunting to be. I had no idea King was even involved in the remake, but he was apparently one of the first people to get on board. Unfortunately, the other person on board at the time was Robert Zemeckis, who insisted on keeping a pg13 rating, so King left. I liked the remake of the Haunting, but no one ever accused me of having taste.
For an older black and white movie, The Innocents is pretty creepy. There were a couple of scenes that actually spooked me when I watched it for the first time. It's very suspenseful and atmospheric. Hope you enjoy it along with your other October picks. Happy Haunts!👻
