You making ninja only run at 1;52 am in Total war Shogun 2 and I'm grinding every afternoon Japanese bombers with bombers only in War thunder. We are not the same but we both are insane😊
@@superchug2469 currently I use the D4Y (the earliest variant) and the H8K2 (which is the Japanese Man O' War, aka the BV-238). My goal is to get the B7N1 and one of the higher tier bombers, maybe even the G8M1 (but it's so expensive spaded) so I can have a fighting chance with CAS in Ground RB. But my recommendation is the G4M1, it's nimble, fast and has a pretty good bombload compared to other Japanese planes, sometimes even after it.
I think the worst part about the kisho ninjas with the ninja factions, is that they are strictly worse then regular ninjas. Do to a bug in the game that CA never patched, the buffs you are meant to have in the campaign and battles, does not work. Mostly it heavily impacts the kisho ninja's bomb ammo. So not only is a "ninja only run" hard, the bug makes it a lot harder :>
It’s less a bug and more “CA buffed literally every other clan’s ninjas but completely forgot to do the same to the two clans that actually specialize in them”
I'm glad you're finding out but good rule for most total war games; Don't do military alliance! At least not in the beginning. Wait until after "Realm Divide", and then your allies will actually stay allies. Same for vassals
I actually did ninja only run a few times on the hard difficulty. And yes - ninja ARE a glass cannon. BUT! Key and main purpose to them is a flash bombs. Use them, charge and you simply wipe everything in existance. Even hero units have trouble dealing with this kind of charge attack.
Important note on Ronin units (especially if the host does a Ikko Ikki campaign), they not only gain experience faster than their contemporaries, but their stats grow more quickly as well. What they lack in numbers is made up by their potential, getting replaced eventually by warrior monks, they're still heavy hitters that can become power houses in their own right in the early to mid game.
I love that of all units, it's Ninjas carry bombs that explode strong enough to uproot whole trees.😂 Like, sure, Ninjas DID use bombs from time to time, but they were typically relatively small things meant for misdirection and distractions.
I love how you sneak out at night not to cheat not to drive away but to make a video for us. I thank you and fear for you man but get up at like dawn or something to start early
Please, for the love of the spirits, blease use yari-wall for the yari-ashigaru! Especially in defensive siege battles!! The buffs they get are insane. Place them directly behind the wall, withdraw your bow-ashigaru and yari-wall. One yari-ahigaru can defend against any enemy unit, even against multiple.
Ninja only really is impossible given the nature of the challenge. Stakuyi should try Ashigaru only as the Oda for the hilarity that is cheap mass producable peasant units.
You should have kept the ninjas on the walls for defense on that last battle. You'd have maybe been surprised at how well it works, those bombs really crush morale. Hattori was my first playthrough, and they're interesting though challenging. You really have to make use of the hiding abilities and the guerilla deployment of the faction to change battles. Like you don't wanna have a line of ninjas just holding next to each other, it's best to have a unit or two act as bait, perhaps a general, and then you hit them hard and fast with the ninjas. Thanks for playing this, it brought back a lot of fun memories.
I use Kisho Ninja instead of firebomb throwers. I think of them as less of mainline combat units and more as "firebomb throwers capable of self defense". Were I to make a Kisho Ninja focused army, I would want yari ashigaru or naginata samurai to hold the battle line, bow samurai to draw the enemy forward, and a small force of real cavalry - probably bow or yari - to do cavalry things. All of this would be in service of getting the enemy into range of the ninja's bombs and letting those bombs put in the work.
This. Bombs value doesn't lie in kill but in disrupting enemy formations to increase your own yari wall killing power. Also I dare AI to set their own Yari walls with bombs anywhere close. There is also little trick by positioning your bomb throwers withing Yari wall for their minimal range to be just on the tip of spearwall thus eliminating friendly fire.
@stakuyi kinsho ninja have huge charge bonus and great attack the way to use them is trow the bombs at the enemy and then charge at them after one volley the enemy unit at that time is either on the ground or getting up when the charge hits and gets destroyed also in sieges since ninjas can hide you put them behind the wall not in it and wait for the enemy melee units to climb up then trow bombs at them when they get to the top and charge at them after that to mop up the survivors for when you don't have more ammo
Stack, trying to remember the name of a province in a country he went to a handful of times: How do I not remember basic geography? Meanwhile me, who cannot remember the name of any town further than 5 minutes away from me: Yes of course, that's absolutely basic geography. Definitely. Clearly. Absolutely not!
Classic vanilla Shogun 2: the Tokugawa clan dies after turn 1. The AI can't figure out that if you bribe the Oda army with the starting metsuke and then invade you win the war. In my games the Oda quickly join them in the grave after the Hattori sneak up behind them with all their peasant levies who have ninja training somehow. The Mori and Shimazu are usually soon to follow, although sometimes the Shimazu survive and send the Otomo to Jesus. Some of the most powerful and influential clans in real-life history dealt a swift kick in the ass by eternity. Good stuff, especially when you've been drinking.
Honestly, my favorite thing about the Hattori is their ability to cheat before a battle. Every clan has to start their troops behind the yellow line before a battle begins. Not the Hattori though, they can start the battle PAST the yellow line, and behind the white line. Saves you SO MUCH time during invasions.😂

I‘d say Ninja, the WWO isn’t really a trained soldier or assassin. They have a chance as long as they have bullets and the moment that runs out they are toast. Even then, the Ninja would have a decent chance throughout I‘d say.
You know the saddest part about the Hattori (and Tokugawa)? The last patch for Shogun2 was a balance patch for all units and CA thought kisho ninjas were bad so they buffed them. However, they forgot Hattori and Tokugawa had "enhanced" kisho ninjas and so those didn't get buffed. So right now, "better kisho ninjas" actually mean "worst kisho ninjas" -__-

If you get gunners on the walls, and position yari ashigaru directly beneath your walls, you can shoot your enemy for longer, at near point blank range, and its quite effective in the early to mid game. Sure you lose yari to friendly fire, but eh, theyre peasants. Theyll make more lol Though a unit i absolutely insist people not sleep on, are the Donderbuss cavalry. Do not let their short range fool you, use them as mounted shotgun infantry. I will usually keep donderbuss cav as a defensive garrison. Dismount them and line them up just below your walls with gunners behind them, and watch your troops absolutely _shred_ the charging samurai in a spray of gore and broken dreams 😂
