Something funny is that I once Reverse scammed someone. I was a new player and someone was trying to do some scam like “oh yeah party me or coop me for a dragon sword” and I was like “a dragon sword sounds cool! Sure!” Then he did some thing where he always left whenever I followed him and made it so I couldn’t join his island and got a few mil in auction and left the coop. And because of that I guess skyboock has a rule that you get some money when you leave a coop so yknow. You can’t make like 10 mil off an auction then have someone else claim it. But the thing is I was new and had less than a 100k so I profited like 80k off of it.

"Köftespieß" is a turkish meal that is used often as a meme in Germany because of a person called "Xatar"
"Heftiger Buritto" you could translate to massive or intense burrito if I'm not wrong.

Moral of the story: If you have a red name, then people will try to make every excuse that your red name is giving you some kind of special treatment. Even if these claims are unreasonable because a UA-camr "must be somehow cheating the system".
i mean it is true that red names get a special treatment by mods/admins (they always prioritise red names forum reports and ignore most of the report by nons-mvp++) and players (just lookup "akinsoft contreband" on yt lol)
that being said i dont think there is anything inherently wrong with players giving coins to ytbrs but mods should treat every player the same cuz some people are running loose although they're making hundreds of irl dollars by scaming and irl trading.

The toxic responses from the forums is a good example of the love of many growing cold.
And suggestion: alongside your charity, you could compile a list of scammers that can be referred to, accessed, searched, and added to/updated as scams are reported and verified to be scams. That way, people can prevent being scammed and make it harder for scammers to scam.

People saying this are stupid, red name doesn't make you inferior either. Scammers should be punished an peopke writing hateful comments are just people who lacked supports of admins. So we should accuse admins for their crappy non-professional job.
What if you made an item filter which distributes unwanted items from others that are led into actual chests and the unwanted items are put into an item eradicator, which is basically a system that automatically drops items into a cactus or lava pool and deletes it. "Because im lazy." is what you probably said but I'm telling you it will get rid of rookie items and boats which can prevent those trolls from happening.
Don't item filters only work for items that stack though? And boats don't stack. (Same with most items in sky block iirc.)

one time i was throwing a ton of epearls in the sky at hub for fun. and my friend told me about pearl spamming and i was like: wait i can get money from this? and we found someone that was paying a too good to be true price. my friend said to take it instantly so i did. the guy partied me and some other people that were spamming with me were in the party. me and another person stayed on the whole hour. he said we would get paid every half hour. i was suspicious when i kept asking if he was going to pay us when the 30 mins was up. he told us not to set a timer because he had one but i started one anyways. we went like 1 and a half hours before he said it had been half an hour. he took us to his island while me and the other guy were talking. he went over to the side of the island and started sneaking. we were confused and wanted pay because we worked way longer than he said and it was like 3am for the other person. then he kicked us off his island and blocked both of us. we got in a party and got in contact on discord but the only thing he had was a picture of the guy (thqr was the one that scammed us) saying the payment. thats all we had. we were pretty pissed and i posted on the forums warning about this guy. and people kept saying dont public shame.
i was scared that people thought i was dumb and when i saw everyone saying like dont public shame i was scared something might happen because i never used any forums before. im kinda scared of them. only one person said something about me bringing attention to a potential scammer and i just left.

Words cannot describe how relieved I am to see this video, for so many different reasons.
I've been playing Hypixel Skyblock for about 3 months now, but I've only recently started trying to connect with the community, mainly the forum and the subreddit, and I'm going to be blunt: The subreddit is way better. People are not only willing to hear what you have to say, but they're actually respectable people by default...Even if I've mainly just posted my art on there so far...But the forums. Oh boy. There's a few people who are kind, and discussing this game with them has been a delight, but the overall chaotic nature of the forums is getting to be a little much. Many prioritize "shitposting" over actually saying something beneficial- But I'm pretty sure quite a few of them are using the label "shitposter" to attempt to excuse them being genuinely mean- and it doesn't matter how much effort is put into a post, or even what the topic is, these people will always remain.
Like, to give an example: Today I made a forum post after the Spooky Festival ended prompting discussion on what other users would like to see changed/added to the game. One user replied that it should be removed "because it's May", and he got a ton of replies- but instead of them actually refuting his suggestion, the messages read, and I quote, "no". It started a mini chain of users saying "no" and that was it. It honestly hurt a little bit, because I wanted to have an actual conversation- but I guess not? I still want to make a post where I design a bunch of Halloween related NPCS that could be added to the game, because I want to show my love for this gamemode by offering my ideas through artwork, which is my greatest asset...but man. Saying I was demotivated from doing so by that thread would be an understatement. And the worst part is that some awesome posts that clearly had days of research and effort put into them get the exact same treatment, and I refuse to believe that I'm the only one put off by this. The forums are, as you said, toxic, and this toxicity is most likely turning away so many users in a heartbeat- I'm about to leave myself in favor of the subreddit, because it's clear that most users on the forum won't appreciate what I have to offer, and those that do get buried in the ones that don't. That being said...It makes me incredibly happy that you're standing up for yourself, and that you're bringing attention to this at all. Something needs to be done, because I feel like the community is going to greatly hurt Hypixel's development and image in the long run. Hypixel skyblock has too much potential to be brought down by scammers of all things.
So, to wrap it up, thank you. I don't know if any of what I typed above actually makes sense, but if it doesn't, a simple thank you will. I hope your words will bring the change this community needs!

Ace, I found a way to prevent these scams. (I’ve been scammed by one of these b4) in badlion client, which is a gameplay client allowed on hypixel, there is a setting which swaps Roman numerals to numbers. So now, whenever I bid, it says 4 instead of IV.
that works except some people prefere roamn numerals personally I do because I'm good at reading them but tbh its a good ideaand I think it works on hypixel addons too

I have lost 20m in items to scammers. I've lost a full strong Dragon set, an aspect of the dragons, 2 runaan's bows (one of which had dh 3) , and 2 treecaps. 5m for the armor, 5m for the aspect of the dragons, 5 m for the dh 3 runaans, 4m for the treecaps and 1m for the other runaans bow. But I never posted anything because I was afraid that no one would care or everyone would just be super toxic. Thank you for spreading awareness and big rip for the 12m.

As someone who got scammed from about $300 real life money. I can tell you it is extremely painful to have to see that so much of your time just gets taken away. I quit skyblock until now which was 1-2 years.
And this is why I never want to say anything on the forums. So much toxicity...

@Kyle Olson first, they obvioudly had the intention to scam with this, even if this particular "ah bid" is allowed, scamming altogether isnt. Also, you saying that it doesnt matter if they scammed on other servers, which it does, is a completely invalid point, since they are still scamming on hypixel. I find it very sad to see people just defending the scammers and attacking the victims in a situation like this, and just for the last time, they were intentionally tricking people into bidding on this book which falls under hypixels violation of rules. Scamming sucks so much, a guy invited me to a recombobulation giveaway server and I won. I thought I was just super lucky, so I gave him every piece of gear that I owned and he just dipped. I now have nothing apart from my minions, scammers suck.

Ive been scammed by hypixel, lost a backpack full of bat person, strong, dropped my pooch while pressing q once when I had double drop on, and having my maddox dissapear 3 times. then hypixel scammed me of my chat priorities then watchdog scammed me of my rights to play on the server, idk if I deserved the mute but I def didnt deserve the ban, does this count as me getting scammed?

Wow. I can't even explain how bad it it feels like to get scammed. I started a week ago and i got scammed for a mill already. I know it isn't a lot, but i worked super hard to get all of it, and its so sad to see cruel people just take everything away from you. I hope that nobody will get scammed.
