Is there a way to install the aux without having the big adapter sticking out from under your radio? I was hoping there was a way to do this while still keeping the car looking sleek.
I'm still pretty sure I'm too scared to install an aux port or fix my front speakers in my car. I'm done all sorts of things with the car but removing the dash scares the crap out of me lol
Probably too late for this, but here goes. My Civic has CD/AUX on the one button. Is this a toggle switch or really just the CD button? I cant toggle it now as I dont have the AUX connected to the head unit to check. Apart from that my head unit is identical
why did you disconnect the plug on the bottom left? I just got a aux adapter plugged it in the back of my radio (2006 honda civic) but when i connect my music it makes a static noise & it even louder when my headlights are off ..does that plug have to do something with it ?
Did you get the adapter from us? If you did get it from us call us for support. Most of the cheap adapters that you buy for $25 I can buy for $7 but we do not sell them becasue they usually have very poor sound quality.
I recently bought a honda civic 2006 and has CD/AUX button on the audio dashboard but i cant see any aux slot anywhere in the car. Are these the actual steps to install the aux for my car model?
I got a question. I have a 08 Civic DX(Base Model pretty much) and it doesn't come with a aux but the radio has a button that says aux... Anywho is there like some OEM wiring or something I can buy and plug into the radio to have AUX? And Yes, I know I would have to buy the actually AUX itself, thats not the hard part, Im just wondering weather the radios on the base models have the connector in the back for aux? Thanks
I didn't purchase anything yet, I just bought a 08 civic coupe and I plugged in the aux cord but it doesn't switch modes to aux.Even when I press the button to go to aux, it stays in xm1 and 2. Does it mean it don't work?
hi,i have a question for you,i have a civic 2007 europe version type s 2.2 diesel engine,i have the honda sat nav onboard but i want to plug also the aux for the stereo.your plug has a male plug and a female plug (probably for installing the satnav?).i just want to ask you, if i remove the satnav plug on the stereo, and i plug your honda interface, maybe i can plug also the satnav on the female plug of the interface, the male plug of the interface to the stereo so i'll have the satnav and the aux?
do you know where to get the pinout details for the port. I m having problems with the audio quality, its very erratic and missing a lot of beats here and there
works great but the moment i switch on the car it starts to pick up engine interference, which is not very audible but is there, how to get rid of that??
Just to be clear, the cord you are selling is also for Android phones or only for iPhones? And if I just want to listen to music from my phone I don't have to remove the dash, I can just do it right underneath the radio like you did it in the end of the video, right?
I'm kinda new about this and a little lost, nice video by the way. I have a question tho' if you could help me. Do you know of an adapter like the one you show us but that has USB (for Androids, not Iphones) and Aux? I've a Honda Civic 2011 I found one for Honda Fit but i don't know if the connector to the inside of the car is the same as the white one you showed in the video. Would greatly help me if you show me a link of some adapter like that in your web. Thanks!
and another one that has it all if you could, bluethooth, usb, aux. If you have, to check the difference in prices I have been searching a lot and i only find adapters that say that they are only for civic from 2006 to 2010. Maybe they don't know or are outdated
I have tried without success to find a compatible aux connection for my 2009 civic .Its a 6 CD unit but does have a free port at the back of the unit .
Why are you trying to scare people? There is no danger of deploying airbags doing this installation. Your batter does not have to be disconnected every time you do something to your car. If I wear a helmet everywhere I go there is zero change of me getting brain damage if I fall. but I do agree that some times a battery has to be disconnected.
Yeah... Umm my EX coupe does. Its only the DXs and LXs that dont. You can tell what you have by the steeering wheel. 3 prong star look EX and 2 prong crap look LX. Plus
my car has the aux button but no place to connect it
how much will it cost just to install a cable n it ? Thanks
@Ash Renae Its literally under the cigarette lighter input
why dont they just have it in there when you buy it brand new?
stupid having to go through all that just to install it
Newer cars have it installed. Back then it wasn't really a necessity.
Enfig i guess so, I just really dont want to take my whole car apart for an aux cord
For adaptability, for instance if you want to add bluetooth.

same here
Hows it scary. Noob af
You don’t have to remove the dash like he did, just the piece under the radio.
Captain Clutch because he might break the the clips when broken you can't put it back on
Probably too late for this, but here goes.

Apart from that my head unit is identical
It will toggle between two different devices. But if your car did not come with an aux it will not toggle until an aux is connected.
You dont have to do all that work, you just pull out the aux connection and replace it save tones of work and time
The early years of this car did not come with an aux.
Do you mean the cable? What else did you have in mind? A dash plug?
Yes the female plug is there to keep navigation and satellite radio.

Can i do the exact same thing with my honda civic 2006? I wanna plug my phone there to play music...

+mi3rebus Yes and here is the aux part. enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_HON03_AUX.html

You would need a CD changer emulator like our product to activate the aux.
@@Enfig What exactly does the emulator do to make the aux work?
It emulates a CD changer so that the radio opens the audio port.
Why do you leave the contact on? Shouldn't you unplug the battery instead?
It is safer but not necessary. Sometimes you can fry a component from the power surge also.
This is just by hand but if you get the ENFIG HON03-IPDC-AUX for a few bucks more it wil ldo iPod and aux and control it from the radio.
so if I plug in the aux cord and it doesn't switch to aux, it means it doesn't work?
Did you get the adapter from us? Our are all tested before they ship. If you did get it from us call us for support.

It has a factory aux?
Enfig yeah it came with aux
Sorry I don't know anything about the factory aux.

If you have our interface contact us for details. If you are talking about the factory aux I cannot help you.

This unit has not been available for over a year. I assume you mean another unit?
My 06 Honda EX sedan doesn’t have an aux port. Is there an adapter for iPhone 7? Or Bluetooth
This is our new Bluetooth version.

Yes an aux cable is universal.
Enfig damn, that comment made me feel like a total noob.
But thanks tho! :)
Sorry Didn't meant to. I answer so many questions on so many different platforms that sometimes I act like a robot.
All we have To do is open the base right? I didnt understand why did u opened behind the wheel.
Some people have big hands and may not fit behind the radio.
Is it possible for the radio to pop right out without removing behind the wheel?
No because it is over the radio.
Why do you not just use the AUX adapter that is right above the cigarette lighter?
Will this also work for regular Ipods? as oppose to Iphones as is mentioned in the video?
I have a question how can you change the light of the radio and some of the a/c lights doesn't work ? ?
Sorry I do not know. We do not repair radios.
so why did you remove the whole radio if you could just plug it in from the base?
What is someone has huge hands and cant get back there?
ok i understand
this says AUX install this is not an AUX install what do i buy for the AUX install?
Same install.

All the adapters for android that have USB are only for charging. Unless you have an iphone I recommend going direct aux or bluetooth.
I have tried without success to find a compatible aux connection for my 2009 civic .Its a 6 CD unit but does have a free port at the back of the unit .
I'm not sure all radios had a factory aux. If your car did not you can use this. enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_HON03_AUX.html
sure ,will try that ,thanks
don't know, got the product from amazon with just the 3.5mm jack as an input.
That's why the adapters on amazon are half the price of ours. They are not built well.
Airbags will NEVER deploy from unplugging a wire.
Hii, I have a internavi model honda civic, will the process be same as this radio one :)
thanks
Sorry I have never heard the term internavi.
worked like a charm, many thanx
Some do not have the aux.
Hi, will this work on a Canadian 2006 Honda Civic LX? Thanks
If it has the same radio it should.
Disconnecting the car battery prevents you shorting anything out if you splice a wire by mistake. It is much safer to do so but not necessary.
Always disconnect your battery, or you could deploy the air bags. Doesn’t matter what gadgets wiring your servicing.
The video is not complete, you dont show us if it works or not,no demonstration.
I do not remember why I did not show that part. But that is why this is called the installation video.
what are the factory specs of these model radios?
If you mean part number I do not know.
+Enfig i meant specs as in wattage
Sorry I have no idea.
There's already a aux cord underneath the cigarette lighter
This was to demonstrate the ipod plug. But the video can be used for bluetooth also.
I've had my '07 Civic for like 2 weeks and never knew the thing had an aux. I feel pretty dumb. Lol thanks :)
And not all of them have it.
The Civic from 2006 doesn't have it
Not on mine
This one also charges the iPod.
WOW good job master..you make very very easy Thankyou and appreciable 👍👍
Yes you can... I did the entire video just in case you couldn't get the plug in the easy way.
Yes you can...
Como hago si el boton que tengo dice es CD/AUX ayudaaa
If the car did not come with the aux it will show up after you connect the device.
If you have big hands and no one with small hands, you will have to pull out the dash. I had to on my 2006 Honda Civic.
Thanks for the advice.
Yes it will.
2006-2007 civics dont have an auxillary input the 2008+civics do
Jason N that’s not true my 2006 does
Yeah...
Umm my EX coupe does.
Its only the DXs and LXs that dont. You can tell what you have by the steeering wheel. 3 prong star look EX and 2 prong crap look LX. Plus
yes.
Thanks a lot
Newbies I suggest you unplug your car battery for any mistakes such as shorts.
One thing you never want to do is unplug a wire while the the cars on, airbags will deploy if you undo the wrong one
pessoal o auxiliar do civic 2008 funciona
?
Enfig
why so difficult to install lol
Seems pretty easy.
Lol he has an automatic
How do you know this isn't his commuter car for sitting in traffic?
g
h
...
Bro... there’s already one in there😂😂
We installed an iPod adapter. And first year of this body style did not come with an aux.
