World of Warships - The Scharnhorst
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 лис 2024
- I can finally show you one of the German battleships I've been enjoying the opportunity to playtest for the last week, the Scharnhorst. Well, "enjoying" may not be exactly the right word to use, the Scharnhorst isn't a bad ship by any stretch of the imagination, but it's tricky to do well in...

Jingles, why do you no longer do these ship reviews? I love the history lesson you give at the start. Well done!
It's hard to review ships that wargaming made up especially if untouchable CV class is there to ruin the fun for everyone.
Greetings Admiral, I don't play the game. I am former US Army Intelligence with 4 real wars under my belt. I grew up under the US Navy, which is why I joined the Army. I should have joined the Air Force, but my foresight did not exceed my hindsight. Now at 50, I have but regrets to fuel my days and nights.
I watched you video on the Scharnhorst and I must send my compliments. That was the best intelligence briefing I have heard in years on both the technical and the tactical aspects on naval application of power.
I am now convinced you would probably be the best at explaining to the current pool of fools running our global international navies into oblivion a detailed explanation that Naval Warfare with missile engagements is no longer the same rules as what was taught prior to World War II. Land and air launched missile systems nullify naval capacities in the short range while Sea Air power in long range retains both penetrating and punching power. The paradigm I tried to teach our Military Leaders in the US is land masses now equate to massive overly powerful warships with unlimited range. They get it, but don't.
Thankfully, Naval warfare is not what it was. I am looking to join the War of Warships soon. It would be a pleasant departure. But for an old unemployed veteran with no credit cards. I think I will wait for a while before throwing my hat in.
Kirk
Thank you for your service Kirk Larson. o7
It's been 2 years, and I haven't forgotten, how much have you enjoyed WoWS?
Hopefully you joined us ages ago and have played and had fun. If not... COME ON! It's FREE. You do *not* need to spend money to compete. Spending money only really speeds up your advancement to the final stages of the game. Tier X is basically a level playing field and when it stops being one I'll stop playing. :D (level meaning that anyone can own basically any of those ships with just time and effort... not all ships are created equal though)
o7
Like the tirpitz, the scharnhorst really wants to be at close range. The torpedoes are obviously a great assest, and the 2/3 of the guns at the front really promotes close range bow duels, AND it has some nasty secondaries :D Live fast die young do 200k damage before you go
That auxiliary cruiser should have just angled its armor. xD
Nah, man. Even with just 283mm guns, Scharnhorst and Gneisenau would’ve just overmatched it and punched clean through anyways.
It did.
What it should have done was to have a “flared” upper belt armor and a deck that partially stuck out.
Not to mention better torpedo defense.
@@willrogers3793 r/ HYPER woosh
Or go broadside so all the shells will overpen, they do have terrible armor after all
@@berzecplot twist: Scharnhorst and Gneisenau used HE
History Time with Jingles! You should do these as separate videos, like Ichase with his "Know your ship" series XD
Agreed, I honestly watch the tank reviews to hear about their history. Always look forward to seeing a 40+ minute video from jingles in my sub box
If you dont want to watch the history lesson then by all means skip ahead in the video there is a reason youtube allows you to do that.
And actually talk about the ships unlike Ichase who basically splices documentaries together... not saying it doesn't require time, but seriously.
yus i said the same when he did the video for the emden
This, YES PLEASE
Just for one damn captains ego. In WW1 the germans used to say, "So many lions commanded by sheep" about the english
i some times really like you Jingels,
an Auxiliary Cruiser is somting like this..."Picture of an small Ocean Liner", on wich some one stuck some of these..."picture of a shoebox of a gun"...well the rather one sided battle led to this ..."blubb".
Priceless Thumbs up mate
Rawalpindi?
I play an aggressive battleship and I love the Scharn, it's one of my favorites.
Same for me
same
Wonderful video Jingles. I especially like the footage from WWII. In an earlier video, you lamented the fact that people from the NA server were not restricted to an NDA. Here's the nice thing about your videos: you take the time to review the ship and let us know how she does. Many on the NA server do not inform us about the ship. Instead, they tell us how good they are. It's amazing to witness the egos.
Anyway, yours is the best review. Thanks!!
iChase on NA is very good for ship history too.
He's an educator by trade you may know, as well as a skilled gamer.
Which is probably why I love his videos. I know he's a retired sailor, as am I, so I can relate to his sense of humor as well.
You're going to buy anyways in the future steve.
+Jason Thach I just might!
the 1st 12 minutes of this video is like how the history channel used to be, i love it!
Everytime Jingles says Gneisenau I crunch my teeth harder and harder.
Oh, and you pronunce Ciliax like Kiliax.
Seems pretty close to me... course, I don't speak German { though I wish I could } so I have to relay on online pronunciation... Still, pretty close...
Robert Charleson The "G" in Gneisenau isnt silent.
+BelaM27X11 I think he's just saying it very softly. Hard to say. At least he's trying.
Cmon give him a break, I know words with "x's" in the middle which you couldn't pronounce in s million years. Jingles is trying bless him
Can we, just for a second, appreciate the Admiral Ackbar joke at 28:45? Well played, Jingles. Well played.
Credit where it’s due, the Germans know how to make a good looking ship.
Good looking and tough
I must say; Jingles I love these reviews. The reviews are excellent, but what makes it great for me is the history lesson on the ships. I honestly did not know about any German bbs other than the Tirpitz and Bismark in WW2.
Oh yay! Story time with Uncle Jingles!
No seriously, I love this format Jingles, keep it up! It's interesting to hear what's behind all those ships or tanks!
Always flashes a smile on my face when I see one of your videos in my sub box appearing!
Today we had to put down our 11 year old cat because of sickness, she survived a year longer than we tought.
I would like to thank you Jingles for just uploading videos, just your voice lets me feel "safe".
Even tough I knew we had to put her down since the start of summer, I'm still crying like a seaman without a voice to swear with.
Thank you Jingles
Jingles! I found your easter egg at 8:43 in the top right! Do i get a prize?! :D
I don't play World of Warships, but I really like the history lessons at the begining of these review videos. Great work!
+The Mighty Jingles
What is that thing at 3:33 and 8:45 that looks like window blinds installed to an air vent, being flashed open and shut?
A signal lamp, used to transmit morse code at visual range.
Where's the footage from around 11:00 from? It looks more like cinematic footage rather than Pathé.
those are model ships i think. footage mixed with real stuff that was recorded in 1940 and used in a movie called "sink the Bismarck".
you can find the real footage showing Prinz Eugen, Bismarck and the duell between them and Hood/Wales here on youtube too.
Signal lamp used to signal other ships. You don't need wireless set to use morse code if they are in visual range.
I think it's a light with shutters, for visual transmission of morse code
Always enjoy listening to the historical naval stories and anecdotes.
Up for 10 min and already has almost 1000 views :)
Just started playing WOW, giving up on WOT.....
Domo
haha i citadel'd a nagato from 21km away in my north carolina once, said to him, "Domo arigato Mr. Nagato =D"
he totally Styx fanned it and replied
domo.
domo.
Very cool, are you that old (like me) that you remember Styx, or did your dad turn you on to them?
Domo
StuInTokyo slightly before my time, but i've always been a sucker for great pop music, and well, they were always super catchy.
I love how you do your research on the history of the ships. I feel like im watching a history channel special! Well done Sir!
Want to hear a good joke about WoWs?
ROYAL NAVY TREE... ^_-
More like Soviet
RN Cruisers are confirmed for sometime this year.
From what I heard the German destroyer tree is next because they could get their hands on their blueprints. The Royal Navy would be a bit harder
Nope Italian tree is best joke.
+MAXZONE47 At least with the British they know the fans want it so they are in the pipeline. They might be the only other navy with a full tech tree
I really love the history lessons you do about warships Jingles, please keep up the great work.
I think you were too quick to dismiss the HE, it might only have 20% fire chance, but with such a quick reload you still have just as good a chance of starting fires as any other BB, and you can reload to AP rather quickly if they give you the side
Jingles, you are the only game reviewer in UA-cam that we learn something valuable ...thanks for that wonderful history lesson.
Only you could spend 12 minutes talking about the history of a battleship and have it still be interesting
Don't even enjoy World of Warships, but the history lessons by Jingles always earn the thumbs up and my views.
4:10 Why you so damn good at explaining things?!?!
I do not play WoWS, but these historical intros for new ships are absolutely brilliant.
I'm so thankful for your review of the Scharnhorst Jingles. You saved me the fifty to sixty bucks I was planning to spend on a ship that I thought I wanted, based on the hype. I'm just average at best at this game, and based on your review of this ship, I would have regretted my purchase.
Looks like my Nagato, a real tier 7 BB, and a really good one, will be seeing a lot of action for the next couple of months, as it will be the perfect tool for seal clubbing all the noobs playing the Scharnhorst.
LOL, yep.
I really liked the historical footage rolling alongside your explanations. Gives the historical sections of these videos a great new aspect.
Is that an ice cream van I can hear in the background at around 6mins?
Your lessons are outstanding. I was actually converting yards to miles during your briefing. I certainty appreciate all the effort you put in to these videos.
Wow, can't believe I'm early enough that I don't see any "Last time I came this early," jokes.
Last time when I was this early........
.......Just kidding
Last time I came this late my girlfriend thanked me XD
A fancy gentleman , sir fancy creeper
Not as fancy as you Sir creeper, look at that fancy cane.
***** I know chap , don't even mention it , I love your fancy top hat by the way , it's so.....fancy
I love these historical videos so much, please keep doing them!
Love the history part!
"Bugger that. Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough."
I love it. Bloody marvelous.
Dude, I have a test at 8 AM. Its 4:20 and I'm here. Let me go FFS!
Back to the salt mines with you! No tests there!
You tube does not go away, and you could have watched this AFTER your test. Don't cry to us if you are still up watching a video.
Dude, I feel you
+Robert Hale you evedently don't get the concept of the salt mines....
Edmunds demonds
Oh I do. Retired Military. Ultimate salt mines
I'm considering splicing all of these history lessons into one video and title it "Story time with Jingles". Keep the history lessons coming, they're one of the biggest things I love about this channel!
I can sleep when I'm dead. That's why I'm so useful in the salt mines.
I love the history that Jingles does in the beginning of these types of videos. More history, please sir!
That is so British. "Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough" (Was hard enough). "Shit".
As a owner of it, i can definitely tell you jingles im one of the players who loves it. It's absolutely amazing!- when played right. its a truly brutal war machine. fits my style of gameplay and is the kind of ship ive been waiting for.
Sink the Bismark footage :O Nice!
I saw it too :D
Hey Trekie, Shake it!
you aren't going to stop bringing that up :P
Absolutely excellent video. Being an lover of History, your use of historical footage and your commentary were wonderful. Thank you!
It seems like firing HE is not the dumbest idea in this ship
against angled enemies that is
HE sucks in this ship
+Tanks Explosions Anime (T.E.A) or other BBs
H.E would suck because the shells are so small
Not entirely. Against angled battleships it is better
i dont really like world of warships but i love just listening to jingles history lessons
Yes, the "G" in "Gneisenau" IS pronounced in German.
@justin lloyd The ship is called Gneisenau you dumbfuck. Atleast have a clue before you correct someone
Serkay64 :3 maybe... just maybe, he was showing how it was pronounced. Now go back to the salt mine! AWAY WITH YOU FIEND!!!!
@@lbhammers4841 But that is not how its pronounced
Oh man, I get so happy when you talk about history.
The reason you scharnhorst struggles so much is that 283mm guns will overmatch anything up to 19.79mm. If the deck armour is 20mm then you cannot penetrate any shots unless they hit the side. A great deal of cruisers have more than 20mm deck armour, bow and stern armour. Where a 410mm shell(nagato) will overmatch over 28mm for consistent penetrations, the 283mm guns just bounce. A lot of cruisers have armour that will be overmatched by other battleships but the small calibre of the scharnhorst cannot take advantage of that mechanic.
thats exactly what he said in the video
Kevin Pierce
He repeatedly states that you need the flat side of the ship, overmatch applies only to heavily angles targets. I think he means the guns have lower penetration (which is also true) but I'm not even sure if he is aware of the 14.3 overmatch rules and how they affect things.
Your math is waaaaaay off.
Joseph Pöppe
where?
Over match, is when a rounds diameter is X times larger than the armor plate it strikes; if that occurs, then it auto defeats the armor. 20mm of armor will not bounce a 283mm armor piercing shell. The weight of the shell would crush through that 20mm tin foil. No matter the angle.
Jingles, I just realized yesterday while taking an IT course that the instructor laughs and speaks just like you! And I gotta admit I really enjoy it! Funny thing, he is not British. I still have 3 more days to go so lucky me! Keep up the good work Sir!
talking about armor in world of warships just doesn't have the same feel to it like wot.
Yes, i have armor, yes i angle my ship. Doesn't make a difference, get damaged either way. Just keep yourself from the citadels is all you can do.
The difference is that you can't armor all of your ship. It would sink like a stone (or alternatively have thin enough armor to be absolutely useless). Belt- and deck armor does work but even if you bounce everything that hits your armored parts, there's plenty unarmored stuff which can get damaged. In most cases that damage wouldn't actually sink a ship but the game doesn't really allow for disabling without sinking (especially since small turrets are much harder to knock out - before, I had plenty ships effectively disarmed before they were sunk).
well, you can allways consider being destroyed by depleting your HP pool without fire and/or penetrations as being so filled by enemy artillery shells you just sink under the sheer weight of it :D
Comparing ships to tanks.
That's why you also have about ten times as much of an HP pool as you do in WoT.
Angling does work. Cruiser AP will definitely bounce on angled cruisers and possibly carriers and battleships and battleship AP will definitely bounce on angled battleships.
HE not so much.
Got the Scharnhorst today and almost immediately discovered the cruiser angled problem with the guns. Still, I enjoy playing her and am looking forward to more play with her. Great job Jingles, do enjoy your analysis of WoWs ships and tactics and especially your histories of new ships..
got this ship for free from a crate
I dont even play this game (W of Warships) Jingles... and I watch every one of these videos. Better than TV by a very long shot.
Wasn't the accuracy of the real life scharnhorst quite good? Wg at it again
Well the german BB's focus on close range fighting (with the turtleback armor, making them hard to cit at close range). By reducing the accuracy they kinda force you to get closer and not snipe from the back.
well, but still the Scharnhorst got the longest confirmed hit on an enemy warship with a bit over 24km.
I just wait for the first fast little russian destroyer who fuck the weak torpedocourt of german battleships... cause they have to get that close to hit the russians even russian bullshit torpedos (that WG will use as a ballancing excuse) cant miss germans... We all already seen that piss bias in WoT.
+Randleray I'm just going to assume you have mental damage and need help because no one in their right mind would come out with a statement like that.
I couldn't make sense of it either.
Finally, they let you put it out!!Thank you oh mighty Gnomish Rear Admiral of the Sunken section of the Salt mines
Btw what is that port supposed to be? Wind farm and huge solar panels? O_ô
I think Yokosuka
its a port from an anime called Arpeggio of Blue Steel, and its a seriously awesome anime! i advise watching the first episode at least :)
It's not from an anime... It's a real port and naval base. South of Tokyo.
no its from an anime that takes place in the future.
Really? Well, then I must be from the future being as how I lived there for 3 years...
I think jingles should host his own history show about famous and not so events of world war 1+2. Id watch that all day, everyday
Jingles you really pissed off Notser
Oh dear...how sad...never mind! :)
Yeah cause Notser didnt listen to what Jingles actually said XD
Yeah he also pissed off a majority of the NA forum.
+Yanislav Valchev way to call a nice guy a nobody
Notser has got him beat at gameplay & tactics though!
Your voice is perfect for this type of history lessons, thx Jingles for this great vid !
where did u get all this footage? is this autentic or from some film?
He filmed it himself during the war.
nice
+Jognt That's not true idiot. He wasn't alive back them
MarLap2000
*facepalm*
+Arrivederci Some of it is from"Der Deutschen worchenschau" which was the ww2 nazi propaganda news.
there's heaps of episodes on youtube
I absolutely love the Scharnhorst!! It is my favourite ship and then the Tirpitz!!
Mr.Jingles sir, what do you do on the poop deck?
+dave bennett working what?
poop.....
it had to be said ;)
you poop at the head
You swab it.
get murmansk because seal clubbing low-mid tiers >=D
i can listen to jingles rant about cat tail cancer biopsy just because his voice is just so calming.
Do i hear a fucking ice cream truck at about 5:55????
I think so
What did you think the name Jingles meant?
XDDD WOOOOW
one of the only reasons i watch these wow vids is the for the truly fascinating info about battles and ships history from an ex sailor with and incredible voice
Jingles you kindly took my remark of pronouncation of the Nashorn once. German has no silent letters, so it is not neisenau as in the english Gnome, you actually pronounce the G in Gneisenau. :)
Well, we do have silent letters, but mostly holdovers in names from linguistic days gone by. Like the "e" in Soest, which actually takes the job of a stretcher for the "o", because somehow nobody can be bothered to just put an "h" there instead.
Taluien
Thats untrue as it is a rhineian dialekt, where the -oe- ist pronounced as oo, there is no -h- there. Similar as -oi- is pronounced as an -oo- with a throaty -ch-, as in Grevenbroich, which is pronounced as Grevenbrooch.
So is it Gun-Isen-Nau? Im russian, you see.
no, Gneisenau is pronounced Gneisenau... simple as that :D
Tenel For once I'm Serious about Something's Pronunciation. And I find Tenel. To the Gulag.
I wish Jingles was my history teacher back in a day...
If the AP isn't great on penetrating angled cruisers how is the HE?
he doesn't need to penetrate
The HE is deliberately not very good to stop IDIOTS from taking advantage.
Its HE has a 20% fire chance, which means with its fast reload it'll be pretty good at harassing battleships
HE is great, many BBs are switching to HE because of higher damage output. I like to keep my AP though, even though I overpen so much.
i think you should go look at vidoes of how world of warships armor works...
ap hits and has to pen....
HE explodes on contact, and its damage is biased on how much armor is their...
ap to the thick armor on a well angled ship will do 0 damage.
HE to the thick armor on a well angled ship will do SOME damage...1000 or 2000
HOWEVER!!!
ap on a broadside/weak armor will sometimes one shot the ship. were talking 90,000 damage per salvo...(theirs an over pen mechanic also...but...watch youtube videos)
HE on a broad side/weak armor will do more damage..... 5000 or 6000
but isnt as good as he
if your in a battle ship you almost never fire HE....unless its a destroyer or the ship is STAYING angled.
the rest of the time.... your waiting for a good shot to land many AP hits...
Awesome video jingles. Definitely love the ones when you do the history of the ship. Know it's more work and cost. Thanks brother.
Having the ship in port for weeks and reading comments and WoWS forum makes me want to laugh at the despair and hype of the general populace
Muhahaha!
I will be getting this as soon as I can, will go well with the Tirpitz I have
Looks like you really pissed off the NA community contributers.
Emilio Moreno usa sucks
Appreciate the history particulars, the ship review, and the gameplay. Excellent video! I agree - cruisers with torps will charge, necessitating escorts and if all else fails HE rounds while they are nose on with an eye to anticipating a switch to AP for when they present their sides to launch torpedoes. As rare as conscious and deliberate escorting tends to be in random battles, definitely need a division mate or two for escort.
Ah, the mighty Kriegsmarine, more skilled at retreat than the French.
Can't blame them, the British have a knack for gangbanging anything in the water with the Royal Navy lol
Yes because one on one is soooo unbritish xD
It's just a playful joke to make the Wehraboo's upset ;D I got massive respect for the KM surface fleet, they were at a disadvantage against the RN yet still would hold their ground, well, attempt it lol
Michael Fisher
Indeed
Well, to be fair they had limited resources to work with and had to protect their capital ships.
love those history lessons only jingles offers :), might not play like flamu but every once in a while a humble mumbling is rather nice :)
I hate Imperial measurements for kanone calibre. Keep it metric so we all know what you're talking about! 28,3cm or 283mm! None of this 11" bullshit no one can be bothered to convert.
American's learn it before highschool.
deathlegionair I'm sure I learned the conversion, but I can't be bothered to remember it.
Stop bitching he gave the caliber of the guns in metric too. Its just 11 inch guns sound a lot cooler than 28 centimeter guns.
Right so a Jagdpanzer E100 has a 6.6" cannon and that sounds way cooler? No, it doesn't. It sounds like it has a pea-shooter. 17,0cm cannon? Yeah, THAT is a monstrous cannon.
I know how big an inch is. I live in a country where Imperial measurements are the official method for conducting measurements.
Cant wait to get this ship. Its all i ever wanted in one ship. Its like a great armoured fast dangerous cruiser. Loving it!
Are you sure you are not reading from the South East Asia server game play book (about the Brits effort to sink this ship )...Look for the people named Hiro & Yamato & Sniper or killer.......... Has to be ..... Oh lemming train too H10 dam there is 9 of you there against that 1 dd oh and they managed to cap how is that possible to lose that cap when you are %90 of our team Vrs %20 of theirs , come on we need help at the other 2 caps..........you have been suspended from sending chat messages untill your team grows a brain ......meanwhile...... 9 ships sitting behind island you go first nah you go first no you go , ill go after you good sir , im waiting for the DD ...... add infinity SEA server game play ......Seriously....just sayin ....just not on the SEA server you have been suspended from sending chat messages until team grows a collective brain ...Can't be too carefull ......
Woo, another good ol' history lesson with professor Jingles. Love these!
Seriously why are British commanders on warships so f*cking stupid? Lets attack two 32.000t battleships with a few 6" guns mounted on a passenger liner. The secondary battery on the Scharnhorst alone outgunned the Rawalpindi. RN tradition, engage when challenged by a hostile ship, dictates suicide by German battleship instead of the reasonable thing. You also could have "accidentally" transmitted a radio message out over long wave radio that you where surrendering, thus stalling the Germans who need to board the ship then, take the crew off and then sink the ship. That takes time and then the Royal Navy squadron close bye ambushes the two ships. You don't die, you probably don't lose the ship, you lured in a RN squadron and they dispatch the German ships. Then you go home for tea and deserved medals.
And then the Japanese where the stupid ones with there Banzai charges. :P
Not stupid at all. Rawalpindi had no way of outrunning the Germans. She could surrender which would be a huge propaganda victory for the Germans and probably against all orders and rules of engagement or she could try to buy time until more Royal Navy assets closed in.
He was old, a sailor from a previous age. Old sailors are pretty stubborn. Not saying it was the right thing to do, but it was probably the only proper thing to do in his mind. That ship could never have outrun those battleships. It was run and die, surrender and (for him atleast) possibly die of age in captivity or fight and die. He probably wanted an honourable end to his naval career. Again, i disagree with that mentality, but i understand it.
And what of the other sailors aboard? Most of them propably were young and had a life ahead of them. Then their lives get fucked up over some old captain who wants to go in a blaze of shit. This is why I really, really detest military chain-of-command. Some fucker high up cocks up and the people below wind up paying with their lives.
Azure Templar Yea, it has its drawbacks. But if you give every soldier the freedom to make strategic choices from himself, you WILL lose every battle, you WILL lose more men than you would had you had them all follow one objective. Its not a case of the chain of command, its a case of someone in a position of authority who was not equal to that task. Jingles himself served in that chain of command, and he had nothing but praise for many of the officers above him.
Azure Templar Fact is if you argue about the necessity of the chain of command, any expert in the field will simply laugh at you and not give you the time of day to explain all the ways in which you are wrong.
Love the movie footage from sink the Bismark, one of my favorite classic war movies.
I want more reviews like this, these are incredible
This ship sounds like my cup of tea! This progression of the match is something I do in my Pensacola actually, which is also a great cruiser killer. Sit at the back in the beginning with friendlies to take the heat, while progressively moving closer to create the situations where I am in control of who shoots at me and who I will shoot, before finally going full-on brawling rampage and getting half a battles' worth of citadels in the last minute or however long my hp and luck allows me.
I love this old school Jingles video!
Please moar war stories with Uncle Jingles I love them :)
i always love the ship history part of the videos, thanks for the awesome channel Jingles!
Big ups for the Sink the Bismarck clips. Love that movie.
my favorite class in school was history so like these videos because I get to learn about these ships that we weren't taught about in school
really want to see more ship reviews from you, they are very in depth and I use them to shape my play style.
The image at 1:49 is an example of Norwegian's giving the ship named Blücher (Admiral Hipper Class, heavy cruiser) a damn good trashing. This happened during the German invasion of Norway on the 9th of April 1940.
In an upcoming movie called "The kings no" or "Kongens nei" there will be a scene where this battle is reenacted, you get a glimpse of it in the trailer.
Great analysis - Thanks - Loved the History - Much pleasing face palms on my part with me going "REALLY"?!!
I love the history lessons you do with archival footage and pictures keep it up. =D
Great video Jingles! (As always) I am sure you know, but for others watching, the photo used to demonstrate what the sinking HMS Rawalpindi is the photo of the Blücher, a admiral hipper class cruiser, sinking in the Oslofjord:)
6:40 Ahhhhh, got to love the casual dig at the RAF from a Navy man
So, the Scharnhorst is basically a big cruiser and anyone who likes cruisers(like Jingles) is going to love it.
Thanks for bringing this video to us. Looks as though the team tucked tail and ran, leaving you to the mercy of the enemy. Spectacular brawling on your part. Indeed, this appears to be the Brawler's baby brother. AllTheBest- House
Looks like a great ship to jump to if you're an experienced IJN cruiser captain
Loved the content, the historical with the gameplay and your own brand of charisma make it a treat. I personally would love to see The Gneisnau, Scharnhorst, Bismark, Tirpitz, Prinz Eugen and Admiral Hipper divisioned up with your Dead Admirals Society and see a live stream match on North etc to show the couch theorists like myself what this sort of fleet could do if it was commanded this way? Food for thought or not. Best wishes and Fair winds and following seas
