I think the best line in the picture is when Richelieu says, " I can summon an executioner with a wave of my hand." Rebecca De Morney, who's holding a knife under her dress, replies, "With the flick of my wrist, I can change your religion."
They chose the right actress for Milady because Winona can be...wooden when it comes to her acting, and did we forget her performance in “The Age of Innocence?” Family Guy even made fun of her for that role. I just wish that she didn’t have to die. She should have been pardoned.
oh cmon miladys crimes were so great there could be no pardon-read the book- oh and the 1973 lester version is infinitely so much better-see that movie- than this pieće of unbelievable sh..t from disney- however i give you that rebecca demorney was a good milady dewinter almost as good as faye dunaway

athos became a musketeer after he left milady because she betrayed his heart-the very reason why he is a musketeer is because of what milady done to him-please read the book

What happened is Athos and Milady (under a different name) were once married, and one day Milady passed out and while trying to awaken her Athos found a brand on her shoulder indicating that she was a criminal (a murderer, according to the film). Milady claimed she had been falsely accused, but Athos banished her and handed her over to the authorities, but the emotional trauma led to him leaving his position of nobility. In the book, when Athos found the mark, he hanged Milady from a tree right then and there, before she had even had time to wake up and answer any questions about the brand. Somehow Milady managed to escape, and years later she ended up as a spy for the Cardinal. The musketeers finally capture her and track down the executioner who originally branded her. She was branded for stealing from a church, and had seduced the executioner's brother into being her accomplice. The movie changed some details to make Athos not seem like a completely horrible person, and they ended up making Milday less evil also.
except milady in the book never accepted her guilt because of her manipulative evil nature-the lester michael york film is so much better than this disney waste of time´ Seriously do disney scriptwriters know how to read- being illiterate can explain a lot of why this film sucks

Mixed. Richard Lester version better. About the only time Heorge McDonald Frazer’s writing skills did not desert him when it came to screen plays. But Tim Curry’s Cardinal Richelieu...
In professional wrestling, you're either a heel (like Jake "the Snake" Roberts) or a babyface (like John Cena), and when a heel becomes more popular than the faces he's wrestling, he will turn into a face himself (like Duane "The Rock" Johnson). So the trope of "villain has a change of heart" is called a "heel-face turn."
Charlie and Kiefer were rocking that long hair I admit as an 8 year old that was a big reason I wanted to see this they were cute
Guys with longer hair definitely needs to make a comeback.

What a fake tearjerking move. Athos would never beg Milady's forgiveness, and she would never forgive him.
This is Disney, what do you expect?
