Ben’s music saved my life. It’s the only thing that makes me feel like my feelings are felt elsewhere. Makes me feel less alone. Thank you guys so much for this. Strikes a cord in me I haven’t felt elsewhere
To some extent, I feel exactly the same. Its like someone singing from my heart sometimes, an inspiration. I hope one day to see him or LDSB play in the UK.
Stay strong mate, always someone who’ll care about what your going through! I hope things get better for you. No matter how hard things get always remember you’ve no idea what could be just around the corner! And the same thing to anybody reading this who’s going through hard times.. love and strength to you all
This guy though..I am floored every single time I hear his work. His voice is good and his playing is slightly better than average I think. His lyrics are poetry akin to Morrison or Dylan. His heart in the music is the defining factor. That much emotional attachment to every song you feel cannot be measured. That is why he is among the best of the best ever. Jmho
Incredible. Such an underrated artist. Every person I've met who is a fan if Benjamin Todd/LDSB have been some of the best folks I've had the pleasure if meeting.
He's not underrated at all, but universally praised among those who've heard his music. I've even heard him described as "The best American musician alive today" and not by some random yokel on the sidewalk. Personally, I think he truly has a higher calling.
Counting down the days to 23 SEP! I am 55, retired US Army, a multiple-tour combat veteran and can say that he and LDSB are my favorites of all time. One day, I hope to see them live.
@@kaitlynweaver9555 glad you could see them live! I haven’t been so blessed to see them yet. But, I plan to. I bet it was phenomenal to see them live. Good on ya!
I love this version. When I heard this song i immediately learned how to play it. It's an amazing song to push out all my negative emotions to, so when I'm sad it's an instant go to. Currently I'm on my last year of high school waiting to get out so I can travel and play my songs. Lately I've been thinking of this song a whole lot, the feeling if being trapped at a stupid desk makes me ponder the freedoms just outside my grasp. Your music helps to pull me though. Thank you for your art and how you've carried on after Nicholas died. May he rest in peace.
Wishing you the best of adventures and fortunes in life! Hope our paths cross at some point and I can be blessed to hear your music. With a lot of it being influenced by Benjamin Tod - I know it is phenomenal. Soak up life and let your art flow.
I can’t go a day with out listening to lost dog- ever since I was introduced to them in January. Looking forward to seeing you in Burlington VT in October
Cast not words, that have no truth. Watch for serpent tounges for only lies they spill in there venom. C.w / Benjamin tod once again knocks it out the park. I agree this is by far my favorite version of this song. Has beautiful eerie sound about it that's brings more depth and emotion 👌
God- this is such a contrast to the original… The original Wyoming has a Banjo- in the background, being played by none other than Nicholas Ridout- (I think) Kinda emphasizes that loneliness that Ben has- playing the song without Nicholas’s accompaniment.
Can’t help but love the original one I heard first on your older album more. This one is superb also. Really is true that the first one is your favorite.
Ive never heard a song by Ben that I didn't like, but certain songs like this one, September doves, terrible and true, sorry for the things, obvlivion, the war inside of me, etc., I would say they're as well written as a song can be

Perfect timing as my wifes left me. For a younger man
funny youtube just sent me that country singer confrontation video. Shame on that guy! hjahaha
