Humankind is a 4X game comparable to the Civilization series. Players lead their civilization across six major eras of human civilization, starting from the nomadic age, directing how the civilization should expand, develop cities, control military and other types of units as they interact with other civilizations on the virtual planet, randomly generated at the start of a new game.
A distinguishing feature of Humankind is that within each of the eras, the player selects one of ten civilization types based on historical societies; this selection offers both bonuses and penalties to how the player can build out the civilization. Because a player can select different civilizations as a template to build upon, there exists potentially one million different civilization patterns that a player can ultimately develop.

This game is so cool, it’s as if someone was playing civ VI and had these thoughts like “I would do that differently” and “hmm, I wish this was in the game” and they actually got a chance to implement their ideas, that’s what I always wanted to have a chance of doing.

You should always Encourage on the Violent Pursuits event. It lasts throughout your game not only in the neolithic era, so it's +2 strength for every one of your military units for the entire game. Very powerful

If u stay on a river tile while fighting u dont get any bonus combat strength. In fact u lose about 3. U even show it on min 7:27

ah the deer retreated and your unit is still okay, alright
When you merged 4 units into an army you lost all the food the individual units had gathered, since 4 units was the maximum for an army and growth was not possible.

Kill any and all enemy units and ransack outposts early. AI spends more time trying to recover while you grow your cities!

Except the battle system is one of the best parts of the game lol. Humankind's problems come in at the late game like most 4Xs and the War resolving
