Ottoman Empire's Belgrade campaign still goes on. People prays in Topkapı Palace for the army's victory. Sultan Süleyman is about to win his first victory. He wants to show his justice in Europe, as well. Sultan Süleyman comes back to Istanbul. The victory of Ottomans and return of the Sultan is celebrated with a sense of occasion. After Sultan Süleyman's return, Hürrem becomes the first one who can fulfill his longing. Mahidevran makes a deadly plan to get rid of Hürrem. The night Hürrem and Süleyman has ends unpleasently. Hürrem gets poisoned and meets the death. Sultan Süleyman intervenes without losing time. The first person that he wants to see is İbrahim. However, İbrahim goes to a secret meeting. Will Hürrem be able to survive? İbrahim doesn't lose time to find the person did this. In the mean time, Gülşah decides to destroy the traces she left behind. Even so, İbrahim understands it was Gülşah in a short time. He gets shocked by the truth he finds out. He needs to make a very diifficult decision.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Watching this all over again made me realise how evil they were to Hurrem. She wasn’t the one who started the conflicts.
Well...maybe the one with Ibrahim but not the other's
Well she sure did start the conflict with Maria. Showed her pure evil side. Whi needs friends with a friend like Hurrem
I think Hurrem would have had an easier time, if she weren't so headstrong and arrogant from the start. She didn't seem to understand that she was a slave. 😂
@@roses7017 True...but a Slave with the Possibility of becoming a Sultana and she used that Possibility
She was very fortunate because she could've ended up in a bag and tossed in the river or sold to unsavory people.

Mahidrevan is so jealous, she rejoices in anything that affects Hurrem if it is bad. But she will get her just desserts

This lady with sunken eyes irritated me to the core.she always wish bad for Hurrem.

Whoever is the costume designer really loves the color green. So many of the gowns are that color. It is gorgeous.
This is not just fiction, the color green had a religious significance for the Turks and was often associated with prestige. The large emerald ring given to Hurrem is a reference to that. It was also a tradition during some special gatherings that all the women would wear green garments.
However i found hurrem and mihirma most beautiful in blue outfit.. Mihirma in her wedding blue dress and hurrem when she met ibrahim in some deserted place and her hired soldiers attacked him. She looked absolutely gorgeous in that blue dress.
@@uthmanibn-jafar1159 Great answer my man. I could be wrong but couldn't only direct descendents to Muhammad (pbuh) where green tutbans??
@@codybissonnette542 That's actually something that was only practiced by the Ithna-Ashari sect of Shi'ism in Iran. Their religion and culture is vastly different from mainstream Sunni Islam to the point that it's essentially a completely different religion. The notion of descendants of prophet Muhammad (SAW) distinguishing themselves by wearing a particular adornment would be unacceptable in Sunni Islam. It's implying that these people are somehow better than other people, which isn't the case.

Biggest misfortune of the ottoman history was that Mustafa’s mother wasn’t Hürrem. Mahidevran didn’t have the qualities to protect her son and surround him with powerful allies.

Hurrem was so hurt by Valide . All she wanted was to be accepted 💔
In the end this continued attack left no rooM for Mercy in her heart for Valide.
Valise had to do that to protect her son from a manipulative woman who was clearly steering the man to make stupid decisions. He forgot all their laws and tradition just because hurrem told him to do so this wasn’t a man in his right mind but blindly in love and such men are dangerous as rulers and can make bad decisions only to befit pleasing their lives. Valise was correct to do what she did. In fact because of hurrem the ottoman dynasty began to topple . That just shows you what happens when a rulers mind is poisoned by the live of a woman who only is greedy for power.
She tried to give valide beautiful words she thought valide would fall for her manipulative charms the way sultan didn’t but she can’t be cheated and so she realised that her charms didn’t work so she retaliated. Mahidevran is herself a slave and calling others as a slave..
She's not a slave though, she was originally his wife, but based off how things are going, I think the marriage was essentially annulled by him becoming Sultan. That's why she out ranks the Herem but is still below Sultan's mother.
@@apollomommy7364
Historically though, she was. She wasn't the first wife and even though in the series they don't say she's a slave it gets really confusing in one of the later episodes when she asks Suleiman to free her like he did Hürrem. Like, she's not a slave so why is she asking to be a free woman? Kinda makes no sense. Take what you see in the show with a grain of salt because half, if not most, is completely inaccurate to what happened irl.
@@ItsDeedlebug but we are talking about the show, not real life

And after I said historically speaking I went on to question why she asked him for her freedom in later episodes if she isn't a slave. (This is in the show.) Since you say the marriage is probably annulled by him becoming Sultan then by that she's already free and can go if she truly wanted to so, like I asked; why would she ask for the same freedom that the Sultan gave Hürrem if she isn't a slave?
@@ItsDeedlebug she may have been married to him by name only, not legally. She was originally a concubine, even as a sultana she is a concubine. From the beginning, I opened this Magnefico Century, the very first beauty had caught my eyes 👁️ was Nigar Kalfa, I thought that if in line of a color she's the darker version of Catherine Zeta Jones!
Hurrem is shown so cruel to others in this, but I've read and watched so many documentary that she actually did alot for the women in harem.
Hurrem seems to have done for people only to gain power what nobody mentions is how much of a simple and sweet woman mahidevran was and she was heartbroken when sultan disregarded her she was just a plain normal woman heartbroken and yet didn’t harm anyone to get her way but had her son killed. In history Mustapha wanted to please his father he was even told not to go to his father because they feared he would be killed since hurrem poisoned sultans mind she wanted her own son on the throne to secure her own power. And Mustapha still went because he said that will be his fate written if his father kills him. If he was a greedy and bad person he would never go to his father and build his army to overthrow his dad after all past sultans have done so and he was loved by all over his own father but he was a respectful boy who still reverred his father and went to his death out of respect for his father calling him despite warnings. He would have made an exceptional sultan.
Mustapha would have never become such a fine young man if his mother was evil hearted and mahidevran never did attack hurrem as the drama portrays she was only jealous in a normal manner but never harmed anyone. Unlike hurrem removed anyone who stood in her way. She was evil.

The moral is: don’t ever fall in love.
Love hurt’s more than an arrow
Don't ever fall in love with a married man...
Noo mahideverhan and souleyman r not married hurrem will become his legal wife through the series
@@Cakesbykavithadeepu yes! But if you are a concubine.. just enjoy your master when he has time for you
Yes...the pain he carried after hurrem pass on.. was unbearable to see
@@Cakesbykavithadeepu he wasn’t married.. however yes I agree
Mahidevran is really petty ...the first time I watched this drama I was feeling sorry for her but now that I really saw the first few episodes in detail , I really she deserves what coming to her .
I know what you mean, I really felt bad for her, in the beginning
I love this film... i tried hard not to continue watching noticing that it has a lots of episodes but i cannot control myself 😊
I have started now inhaling upto 3 ep a day
@@alienamzal477 im in Episode 9 now ☺
I agree sis
I watched all 134 episodes.. And it felt in the end that i also lived that era..
My best scenes are those of battle. The Sultan and his lions are so majestic and fierce
I think so too
“She’s a big fan” I’m dead 😂😂😂😂
Just so deadpan 🤣
Thank you for the English subtitles! May Allah bless you 😍🤲🏽🌹🤗
Hope all Mahi fans started watching from episode 1....
The wickedness shown to Hurrem from everybody in the harem is out of this world... Thank God the only person that loves her is suleiman who is the king of them all.
From what we know of actual history, Hurrem was good for Sultan Suleman despite him being a king with many women he truly loved his wife as well.

"Hurrem Hatun is pregnant
You can't Have Her
Would you like anyone else"😂😂LOL
It seems to me Valide is taking a huge risk when Suleiman comes back he would be so mad for her marrying off Hurrem . Also now that Hurrem is pregnant she should immediately tell Suleiman what his mother tried to do without his knowledge . He would be so angry with his mother 💯✔🙌🙌
He will find out.
And he was really angry
When hurrem hug nigar kalfa suddenly teardrop. I wanna huh too 😥
Hurrems pregnant and Mahideveran faints!!! Lol 😂😂😂 She was delusional to think she could take Hurrem on!!!
valide start the war . Hurrem fight for herself . brave lady
Watching the series for a second time. MashaAllah, what an amazing series. 👏🏾
I thought no one can eye the Sultan's harem? Then how is Valide Sultan able to marry any one off without the Sultan's permission?
They would gave Hurrem freedom and then would tell sultan about her willing to get married because of that. It was a cunning plan but it didn't work because of fate
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 Hurrem didn’t want to leave.. Valide is signing the death certificate for anyone who took sultan’s girl
I'm sure since valide ruled harem marry off problem concubines or those he was bored with was very common
Marring off harrem girls was a normal practice just not the Sultans favorites
A similar story happed during the time of Sultan’s father. They married off a concubine of Suleyman’s father because she wasn’t well behaved and was a spoiled girl. However, as soon as she married, they found out that the girl was already pregnant with Sultan’s baby. It was too late cause once religious nikkah (mariage) is done, palace couldn’t take women back. She gave birth to a son, called Üveys, but according to the laws, a child born under a stepfathers name, can not be considered a sultan or sheihzade (prince). But still, palace closely take care of the education and comfort of the child. When he died, Suleyman was sad and said “he was my brother from father’s side”.
