Awesome mate! Loved the music throughout, the fishermen’s crafts around those FADS are pretty gnarly. The anchorage at the end looks incredible. Big froth and love guys
Beautiful drone shots. Thank you for sharing a glimpse aboard the Trade Runner. She’s been a good boat and hope you all keep going. Now reload your supplies and fuel up for the next leg. I’ll be here ready to watch.
Thanks Jen, real nice of you! How did you like the black screen right at the end. I was up till midnight on that last night. Completely pointless and no0-one much will see it but I love adding something random.
I guess Eli is slightly bigger than average but within normal margins. He's growing right in front of your eyes each week though so it appears fast. He's changing each and every week now.
Thank you so much ! It is not easy to us to do great edit every weeks when our little one is asking for more and more attention so we are even more grateful that you are appreciating the effort 😅hehe cheers and thanks for watching
Like your focus on secluded natural locations. Yes that boat likes to go fast ! Looks tiring though and maybe tough on the hardware ? Have you considered netting on the lifelines around the cockpit? a safeguard in case your toddler gets loose ?
We are planning to make the boat a bit more safe proof but anyway the deck being not flat, Eli will be not allowed to crowl and walk around here, even later
another great video. And well done for clipping Eli's toe nails at sea. I'm not sure I'd manage to clip my own, let alone anyone else's while bobbing up and down :)
Thank you 🙏 It is tough to find time to do good editing with our little one asking more and more entertaining so we are even more thankful that you are appreciating the effort 😅hehe
Thanks mate, you can thank Marie actually, I was about to give up on a proper edit for this one, was just going to publish a "Raw" video. Marie watched the footage though and came up with a storyline that worked well. Team effort this one.
@SailingLearningByDoing Marie Good catch on releasing this video. This was well worth the time watching. I don't know what Vernon would do without you, lol. You two make a GREAT TEAM!
Thanks. Yeah I was monitoring the radar but it wasn't really much help. The FADs are made of bamboo mainly and you do see that but when there are waves the contact goes in and out every few seconds, sorta confused me more than anything.
Agree Vernon, radar will show some fads in some sea conditions. One of those $8000 flir cameras is better but not many of us have the budget for those.
And so I don’t have the right to say how I am feeling about it…? About starlink, we are actually sailing and living on a boat to be in nature, and we are REALLY enjoying being out of range and not sitting inside on our phones or computers.
We've obviously talked about getting Starlink but have decided to hold off as long as possible. Apart from offshore it's pretty seldom we are out of reception and we really enjoy it when we are. We enjoy watching sunsets and actually talking to each other, internet 24/7 tends to keep your head in a screen.
@@SailingLearningByDoing Among the hundreds of sailing channels, yours the only I keep watching, because you are still natural and cool and good people. And thinking just like me. I admire you not having starlink. You went out there to be away. Internet just drags you back, and away from each other. Good job by resisting! :)
@@Sonnell well thanks for that. There is a lot of competition and we don’t go in for the fake drama or ass shots so we’ve got left behind a bit. We stay true to ourselves though and make the video WE want to show. I’m not against starlink, it’s an amazing new technology that has changed the world, we personally just don’t require it yet. One day most likely.
@@SailingLearningByDoing I agree with these. Perhaps you could do a bit PR work, without changing your content. I think many possible viewers of yours just do not know about your channel.
One of the best sailing channels on UA-cam, one of the best channels on UA-cam
Thank thank you
Thank you for your nice words ! Especially lately that UA-cam seems to not push much our videos out 😊 it is good that our work is appreciated
160nm in 18 hours, that's pretty good in those conditions. Go the Crowther!
Yeah she holds a pretty good average speed plus during the night we had a knot of current in our favour. Nice to be able to do decent miles.
Eli is growing so fast! Gosh cant believe hes coming up to 1 year already! ❤❤

Thanks mate. You wouldn't believe these fishermen, they stay out there for days just bobbing around

It’s the first video I’m watching from you guys but not the last one, great content! Hi from Australia 👋🏻
@@4OceaNe ah that’s great to hear, glad you found our channel. Algorithm has been killing us the last year or so.
Thank you so much ☺️ we are glad that you liked the episode
Very epic video, very epic song at the end. And NO thank YOU both for your work on the channel. I love it. Love that little sailor boy Eli too 😍

You guy's are the best! The Baby is getting so big, wow!!!
That’s why there’s no food 😉

A part of it for sure. We feed him everything we eat now.
I'd be a lot more queasy than Marie during that passage. She's a trooper!
Yeah she is, actually it helps her that she has to look after Eli. Less thinking about being seasick.
Thank you 🙏
Happy baby

Another great episode with Traderunner sailing in those remote islands well done great drone footage too cheers from OZ

Yeah sailing upwind is way harder on gear and crew, no doubt. What can you do though, we can’t control the weather.
