I've NEVER seen a UA-camr reply to so many questions! Good for you.
Thank you for that, I don’t understand why people can’t reply back. Don’t want to do that to my subscribers or people who watch my content. Thank you for the feedback ❤️💪🏽.
Thanks for the review. I was very interested on how it worked and now I know. Seems like a great investment!
It’s a wonderful machine for the price, went up in price since I’ve bought it but worth it. If you do buy one in the future, I have a video on how to install the pulleys and cable.
Sounds good. Thank you very much!
Your vids popped up. I checked out your channel. I subscribed. I like it ! lol.
How do you find yourself using the pulldown since there's no seat? Incline bench, kneeling...?
I have a bench, some of my clients use it from a seared position. Majority of the time my clients and I use it from the kneeling position. I place a thick foam pad underneath for comfort.

@@VTF82HOLY SMOKES! Absolutely genius! Thanks for this.
Nice
This looks like it can be converted to a plate loaded system. Do you thing this can convert?
It is plate loaded
Great review, I was eyeing this equipment and wondered how it functioned, what’s the max weight the pullleys can handle?
I pulled up to just under 200lbs no issues. According to their website site:
Weight Plate Capacity 660 lb.
Cable Capacity 1, 540 lb.
Individual Handle Capacity 220 lb.
@@stabilfitlife nice!! Thanks for the reply bro. Appreciate it.
@@ACUNA909 Anytime bro
Just got mine from offer up. Excellent condition. Want to know where I can purchase that lube. Is there a special brand? Can I get it off amazon?
You can purchase it anywhere. It may be cheaper at your local store but shop around💪🏽.
@@stabilfitlife can u give me a hint on what it's called or brand name?
@@edc4598 There are plenty of silicone based sprays out there. Check this video out ua-cam.com/video/Yk9gFvAzf3I/v-deo.htmlsi=XqxyKrLAGIOp_1XF
Ty sir! That's what I was looking for.
How Smooth does it feel compared to a Commercial Grade Machine?
I have a lot of Titan Fitness products.
My plate loaded Lat pulldown machine is pretty Smooth from Titan Fitness.
I'm curious bc Valor Fitness makes a near identical machine that's $250.00 cheaper bc it's minus the Lat pulldown bar and T Bar row bar and Tricep rope.
Thank You.
Pretty smooth, definitely feels like commercial grade equipment. As long as you keep up with the maintenance of it at least once a month. Check this video out here to see what I still use, ua-cam.com/video/Yk9gFvAzf3I/v-deo.htmlsi=ly1wkvsXKtwnuZzG
Cool man I wanted to get this especially for chest cable flys. Do you feel like the distance between the 2 pulleys is wide enough to provide sufficient tension and stretch on the pecs for chest flys? And do the pulley cables go low enough to do bench flys while lying flat on a bench?
Yes the distance is good enough to for chest flyes, however flat bench cable flyes might be difficult depending on your wingspan. You may have to transition to seated flyes or dumbbell flyes if you get this trainer system.
@@stabilfitlife Awesome, thanks for the reply! I have a 6 foot wingspan so would that be an issue?
@@CommanderTexas I’m 6 foot as well, yeah the flat bench cable flye might. Give me a few mins I will give it a try.
@@CommanderTexas tried the flat bench fly and had no issues, had full range of motion too. Hope this helps 💪🏽
@@stabilfitlife Perfect! Thanks bro really appreciate it!
Is there any way you can tell me a more detailed footprint of this machine. If I set it in a corner, I’m curious how far the distance is on each wall. I understand the footprint measurements Titan gives, but I’m interested how far it spans from the corner on each wall. It should be the same measurement on both walls. Thanks for any help.
I have 30+ inches of clearance from both left and right frames and 30 inches of clearance from the rear. Have enough space to get on both sides and be able to place a 45lb plate on the weight horns in the back. Enough clearance for the machine to raise the plate (45lbs) with room to spare. I hope this helps.
I'm having trouble with assembly. The middle bar with the titan fitness logo is not lining up with the top T bar that connects to the top of the 2 rails. It's like I have to force the middle bar forward but I don't want to break it.
Email me a picture of it maybe I can help you out stabilfitlife@gmail.com
Hell ya
Are the pulleys good quality? That’s the biggest complaint with the pulley tower they offer. What exercises can this one do compared to the pulley tower? I’m trying to decide between the two. Thanks
Yes, in my opinion, the pulleys are good quality as long as you keep the frames and guide rods lubed up you shouldn’t have any issues. The difference between the two would be the weight capacity. The one I have will be able to handle more weight. You can find this information out in the details below each item. You can do more with the functional trainer than the tower, but at the end of the day it’s all about what your fitness goals are.
@@stabilfitlife Do you think there is any difference in a weight stack vs plate loaded in regards to feel or performance?
@@worldnomad2301 In my opinion, there is a difference but it depends on your level of convenience. The plate stack (incremental weights) like you see in commercial gyms are a lot easier to load and gives the illusion your pulling or pushing more weight than you actually are. The plate loaded trainer however will definitely humble you. You can feel the difference between the two weighted systems. The plate loaded being the heaviest because of the use of actual plates.
@@stabilfitlife thanks!
@@worldnomad2301 anytime
One last question , for some reason the upper pulley and bottom pulleys don not feel
As smooth as the others , is that supposed to be that way and if not what can I do to make
Them more smooth , thanks again
Make sure the bolts that are holding the pulleys in place are not too tight. Next will be to use the lubricant that the trainer came with, if don’t have any. I suggest going to your local Napa Auto Parts and buy Super Lube (Brand) Silicone Lubricant (Type) and spray all pulleys, guide rods and frames and fully work it through.
@@stabilfitlife thanks again I'll give that a go
I've been waiting for my second half for the last week. FedEx is a mess.
Yes they’re horrible. We’ve been telling companies that we’re willing to pay the shipping costs if shipped with a different carrier. The companies we’ve been buying from was able and willing.
Can you use regular plates or only Olympic plates ?
Standard barbell plates with 2inch holes
Just wondering, did you have to bolt it down to the floor and if not, were there any issues?
Did not have to, I’ve had the machine close to a year now and no issues.
@@stabilfitlife Great I really appreciate your videos on this machine. It has definitely helped me decide. Im getting my own this month!

Hey man what is the type of tape you used on your flooring? I need to find something like that for my gym. Thanks for the review!
I used black 3m tape from lowes
Gorilla Tape is the way to go
Hey man, what kind of flooring do you have?
www.repfitness.com/catalog/product/view/id/184/s/stall-mat-gym-flooring-3-4-rubber/category/705/
I have 80.6 inches of ceiling height. The dimensions show this as 81 inches. Wondering if you think removing the bottom feet is an option for this unit and if you have a guess as to how much space that would provide. I have a full rubber floor and could always bolt it into the concrete underneath if there's instability.
It might play a factor, let me take a look at mine and measure it again. I will update you soon.
@@stabilfitlife someone else told me the hook for the pull down bar adds an inch and can be removed. Any chance you could measure from the floor to the top NOT including the hooks?
@@keithgordon4646 No problem
Just measured 79 3/4 inches not including the hook on top.
@@stabilfitlife Awesome!!!! Thanks!
Thanks for thw review. How do you keep yourself planted when you use the lat cable pulldown? Does it have a leg holder kit option?
Anytime, a few options you can use a bench with a leg holder, decline benches will have it. You can place a weights on both weight holders. 25lbs or more and wedge your feet underneath. I will actually do a video on this tomorrow.
ua-cam.com/video/DVUMulNG3b4/v-deo.html
My only question is is it really 81 inch in height. I have 84inch ceiling in my basement and I would like to get it but I want to make sure it’s 81 inch in height. I would really appreciate if you measure it.
Yes, just measured It. It is 81 inches tall.
Hi, what is the weight ratio for the adjustable pulleys on the side and for the pulleys in the middle (lat pulldown rn rows?)
www.titan.fitness/strength/specialty-machines/upper-body/plate-loaded-functional-trainer/400868.html
@@stabilfitlife thanks, but the info is not on the website.
@@VTF82 Have you reached out to their customer service team? They would have more accurate numbers for you on that.
@@stabilfitlife Thanks, will do.
So I've been looking at this one and also the valor fitness one. This one is more expensive but I also noticed this one has a foot plate for the low row, the valor one doesn't. It says this one has a 2:1 ratio and the valor one has about a 1:1 ratio. Do you know which one is better? Do you know which cable ratios are better? So do you have to load 200 lbs if you want to pull 100 lbs? Thanks!
Thank you for your comment. I do not know which one is better, I never used the one by valor.
Here is an article that goes over the cable ratio:
bodyforce.com/glossary/cable-and-pulley-ratios/
Breaks the cable ratios down, 2:1 ratio gives you a better performance according to the article. At the end of the day, it comes down to your goals, what you’re trying to achieve, equipment space, budget and customer service. We’ve purchased this equipment earlier in the year when the price was lower. We love it and our clients love it. I hope this helps.
Is it wide enough to do chest fly workouts
Yes it is
My cross bar frame came in defective…the holes are drilled in the opposite of where they’re supposed to be. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this???
Try reaching out to the customer service department of Titan fitness, they should be able to send you a replacement ASAP.
So this unit needs to go on the corner only?
No, you can place it wherever. It worked out in the corner for us.
Can you load it with 45s? I only have bumper plates so all my plates are the size of 45s
Yes it does
How do the cables feed with the balls on the end
There is a nut that holds the ball in place, just remove the nut and remove the washer and ball. Once removed, you will be able to swim the cable through. Once the cable comes out of the other end, put back the ball, washer and secure with nut. Hope that helps.
Were the holes for your pedals on the base closed?
What do you mean?
@@stabilfitlife on the bottom middle brace where the foot pedals attach, my holes are not drilled out.
@@leishaharms414 hmmmm that’s weird, mine had two holes in each pedal. I would call titan fitness and let them know.
@@stabilfitlife thank you
@@leishaharms414 no problem, their customer service is very helpful, you shouldn’t have any issues.
Hey what type of flooring do you guys have?
We bought the rubber mats from REP Fitness www.repfitness.com/bring-the-gym-home/storage/mats-flooring/stall-mat-gym-flooring-3-4-rubber
Have the v3 titan tower. It looks like I can do the same exercise as this one. Will I still need a functional trainer of I have the v3 titan tower?
The only thing I see you can’t do is double arm flyes, but you can pretty much do everything else with it.
@@stabilfitlife thank u. I was thinking about selling it even though I like it alot to buy a functional trainer but I guess I don't really need it.😁
@@futbol1972 Anytime man, I’m glad I was able to help.
Can you do rear delt flyes on this , and does it hit them good
Yes and yes. The price went up since last year just so you’re aware.
@@stabilfitlife yes do you still think it's still worth the price tag , I have a lat pulldown machine and will use only for flyes and rear delt work , would using bands be just as good for doing flye movements
@@jamesdingess9988 yes bands will do it for sure. To make it more challenging slow down on the eccentrics, 4 second count as a burnout.
@@jamesdingess9988 I always ask people what their goals are and budget. If you have the budget for it, do it. But there are plenty of stuff you can do with bands and dumbbells which are cheaper.
@@stabilfitlife life is so crazy now and prices to me will keep on going up , I do bench press , incline dumbell presses and Dumbell flyes and dips, but alot of people recommended a machine like this to put on more size, in your opinion is this a accessory piece or a needed piece for size and definition
How is it holding up these days?
Holding up well man, no complaints at all.
@@stabilfitlife Awesome, man. I'm sold on it ... gonna purchase it online today. Thanks for the feedback & review.
Is it almost as smooth as a commercial functional trainer thanks was about to order one
It’s close to it, I wanted the bigger commercial trainer at first but was too big for what I was trying to do. I went with this one and it does the job. I’m happy with it.
Thanks didn't know if I should go for there stack version or this , I'm not rich so have to make the right decision
