My Hyundai Elantra is approaching 400,000 miles. I gave it to my kids. Engine/trans never been opened up. Only work was 2 radiators, 2 fuel pumps and one power steering pump. EVERYTHING still works. AC, power windows, power sunroof ect. Still runs and drives great.
I love this car. Its fun to look at and I feel its the best value in the compact car category. A loaded limited for 26K? Ten inch screen? All digital dash? Bose stereo? I'll keep my scat pack but the elantra would be a tempting option if I were looking a new car. I would even look past the four doors.
I was really shocked to see these on the road already! I saw one at Olive Garden in North Carolina a few days ago! A MUCH better looking model than the outgoing one
@@ultragoldcoin8780 this has been an incredible car, no issues at all. Gas mileage is great, the lane assist feature is greatly improved over my 2017 Elantra. I got the grey exterior and I get compliments on how slick it looks from everyone, love this car to death.

I test a 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL over the weekend and came away very impressed! It's a very solid, refined, quiet and well mannered car. Ride quality was excellent, vehicle dynamics are very sharp and engine/transmission performance very smooth! It rides on an all-new platform (K3 platform) and it definitely shows. Interior is very spacious and seats are very comfortable. Also, super quiet and great visibility. The doors close with a high quality, solid thunk. They had a 2020 Elantra sitting right next to it and the difference was night and day. The 2021 looks leagues better in every way.
As a bigger dude, I never would have thought I’d consider the Elantra but this is way better than the Sonata IMO. Great review. That left aesthetic piece is a big negative for me but everything else is so competently and beautifully done.
Another great video Joe. I have owned 4 Hyundai’s with relatively few problems with any of them. I purchased the 2020 Sonata a few months back and I am very happy with this latest generation model. I have the 2.5 litre engine and find this has all the power I need. The 2021 Elantra is a great looking car! Thanks from Toronto.
Jeff here form Runnergy. They had me till the "o'crap bar" which is completely unnecessary and too high. It actually would look great without it. The different door colors, again unnecessary and weird. I think that blank screen on the left of the dash should have been at least a clock. And those "C" pillars remind me of an old Jaguar with blind spots the size of Jupiter. What?!? No rear vents, usb's or heated seats....seriously? WOW! That MPG and top dash steal the show here. Great video as always!

They're still making headlines having to spend billions of dollars on recalls and not warning customers properly about recalls this year alone. The chairman on their latest Q3 2020 fiscal report apologized to investors for continued recalls, safety issues, and quality control issues.
Very sexy car. I picked up the 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL with the two available packages. The only thing you are missing from the top trim is leather seats and mood lighting. Not a big deal to me personally. You still get the wireless Apple/Android auto car play, all of the safety features, and the most important feature to me the Bose Premium Sound. I will tell you I listen to heavy metal and hard bass EDM that is not played on normal radio and the sound system kicks hard! Very happy with my SEL, exact same blue color with gray interior and you get the smart driving system that will kick it into sport mode for hills and passing vehicles.
Another great video Joe & Lori. I'm watching your video's from Canada. The U.S.A. gets these models before we do. So this gives me a heads up on what is coming our way. Thanks and keep up the great work.

I have a 2012 model that I've been driving since new and still very reliable having 228,000 miles on it and having no major issues. One of the things that I look at; is this model is still using a timing chain? Myself, I prefer a timing chain. The 2011 model went to chain that year design. BTW, always appreciate your reviews and I hope with this design that they can pump a few more ponies out of this little engine and keep it naturally aspirated. I feel that reliability should always come first and foremost.

really looking for the Hybrid SEL, i think thats the one to get from what i can see. the SEL with the convenience package and possibly premium package gets you everything you need along with wireless AA/ACP. my guesstimate is that it runs in right about 26500 or 27000, which winds up being 30-32k after taxes and fees. its a bit on the pricey side, but if you want to get the best of both worlds thats probably the way to go.

Joe...there is also an N-line coming too, it replaces my car, the Elantra sport 💡👍 The N-line has the 1.6T w/201 hp/195 lbs/ft of torque w/ 7 spd DCT or 6 spd manual. The full N will have the 2.0T w/276 hp and 266? lbs/ft of torque and a 6 spd manual or that new 8 spd wet DCT.

Joe...there is also an N-line coming too, it replaces my car, the Elantra sport 💡👍 The N-line has the 1.6T w/201 hp/195 lbs/ft of torque w/ 7 spd DCT or 6 spd manual. The full N will have the 2.0T w/276 hp and 266? lbs/ft of torque and a 6 spd manual or that new 8 spd wet DCT.

Honestly I would love it if it could double as a strong magnet or some sort of area to mount your phone if you need to but you really don't.

Idk about that one, Korean cars have gotten a lot better even in terms of reliability.
@@RaitisRides that is what it’s all about. People can’t make conclusions about a vehicle’s reliability until at least 5 years or 100k miles. Except for Land Rover, they have a different thing going.
It can compete, probably more reliable than Nissan and recent Hondas, not as reliable as Toyota though.
