    I got a ‘23 Elantra with this base 2.0 engine and love it for daily needs. It’s great on gas and on the highway it’s smooth and quiet at 75 mph. It’s just buzzy when you accelerate hard from a stop then it’s just fine.

    Elantra Hybrid Limited is the only one with Vented seats. In 2022 when I bought my 2023 Elantra Hybrid Limited the fact that it had Vented Seats as well as Driver Memory Seat that the regular Elantra Limited didn't have steered me too. Very pleased with my decision as the Elantra Hybrid is a great car!

    I think we do ask for compact cars to do too much at times. The car does most things well and is very spacious for the class, compared to the Mazda 3 or Corolla in the rear seat area. Sure there are some low-spec interior bits here and there(especially against a Mazda 3), but I dont think it is any better or worse than Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla. Hyundai found ways not to raise prices to the moon like other manufacturers have with their compacts. They also have a Hyundai Sonata that they must convince midsize class buyers to purchase, especially since the Elantra isn't too much more smaller than the Sonata. Im no Hyundai fanboy, but I do appreciate that they offer a full line small car, from a super base model all the way up to a raunchy N model with two transmissions available. Oh and it happens to sound damn good.

    Just came by this video out of curiosity on how the North American version is. As an owner of the Korean-market Inspiration trim (equivalent to NA Limited), it was nice to see some interesting differences between the version I have and what North America gets. This Is for anyone who's interested in random trivia as of the CN7 facelift (MY 2024).
    Been driving it for 6 months as my first car, and it is serving me really well in my commute and road trips. Here's hoping I'll continue to have great times with it.
    Competition:
    - There is none, unless you count SUVs. No Corolla, Civic, or even the K4. If you want a sedan of this size new, Elantra is the only choice.
    * I would've also considered a Corolla, Civic, or the K4 if I had the choice...
    Powertrain:
    - Korean market gets a 123hp 1.6L N/A engine giving a 0-60 of 10.5 seconds paired with the same CVT.
    - Since the facelift, the N-Line lost its 1.6L Turbo engine and DCT and is now a styling package with the same engine and transmission as the base model (except for having the same suspension as Hybrid).
    - However, Hybrid and Elantra N have the same engine and transmission as North America.
    - Since N-Line has been nerfed, you can also get the Hybrid as an N-Line. Obviously without any N-Line performance enhancements.
    - So in terms of horsepower in Korean market, it's 1.6 = N-Line < Hybrid = Hybrid N-Line < N. Logic 🤪
    * The MPG shown here for the 2.0L is about the same as my 1.6L, but then, Korean car taxes nearly double going from 1.6L to 2.0L.
    Exterior:
    - The orange edge at the headlamps are white.
    - No extra badging on the trunk to show what trim it is. That means no 'Limited' or 'Hybrid' badging anywhere.
    - All facelifted Korean Elantra trims feature powered side mirrors. Perhaps it's because Korea has smaller parking spaces.
    - Mine with the same 17-inch wheels is fitted with Hankook Kinergy GT out of the factory.
    Interior:
    - The empty space left to the dashboard is also empty in Korea. If anyone has magnets there, it's a DIY.
    (N-Line gets a 'Drive Mode' button to fill in the empty space, but Elantra N leaves the space empty just like other versions.)
    - The Inspiration trim has these features absent in the Limited trim.
    * Memory seats
    * LED interior lights
    * Natural leather seats with venting
    * 2 height-adjustable cupholders
    * Heated rear seats
    * Rear-seat A/C vents

    The new Elantra is very popular in my area. I was at Enterprise picking up a rental, and a lady requested an Elantra rental. And she's a Gen Z. This means that the styling of the Elantra is a disdain for older drivers. Anything "futuristic " looking intimidates Baby Boomers, Gen X, and some older Millenials. I love the new Elantra styling. You can't beat what you get for the money. I can speak on personal experiences. Currently owns a last gen Elantra Limited. It has been the most reliable car I ever own. And still under warranty 7 years later. I definitely consider upgrading to the new Elantra or the upcoming Kia K4.

      My 80-year-old grandma drives herself and her 98-year-old husband from Florida to Boston and back in her 2021 Elantra, which replaced a early 2010s Elantra she had that got totaled after palm rats chewed through the wiring harness. She's quite happy with it -- especially once I showed her how to use Android Auto to put Google Maps up so her husband doesn't have to "help" her navigate. I'm 40, and personally, I don't care for the look of the Elantra, but I wouldn't say I'm "intimidated" by it. I went with a Civic instead because the Elantra did slightly worse than the Civic in the new IIHS moderate overlap test, and I have a small child who will be riding in the backseat for the next several years.

Pretty good car, I'd totally buy one except I hit the door latch every time I get out of the car with my left arm lol. Pretty sore after the week.. I averaged 32mpg driving it like I stole it and it only had 300 miles on it when I got it. I also rented a 2023 limited hybrid last year for 3 days and put 1200 miles on it and I got 50mpg - also driving it like I stole it. Not bad!

    This generation Elantra really showed that Hyundai is able to bring us a nice compact car. I’ve been real impressed with modern Hyundais and how they look inside and out~~ this is still a solid choice in this segment, its fuel efficient, it’s simple, comfortable, and a great commuter car. Plus I love how Hyundai is still using physical controls and buttons which is much appreciated especially in this day and age where screens are just bombarding you.

And besides, wireless carplay connection sometimes doesn't work all the time. It's over-rated. Corolla may offer more power, but the Elantra mpg is the same or slightly more than the Corolla. Elantra doesn't give you hubcaps for the poverty SE base model compared to Corolla base LE. When the Corolla and Civic start offering blindspot cameras, digital key, ambient lighting, smart trunk release, 360 cameras, seat ventilation (Limited Hybrid), memory seats (Limited Hybrid), full digital display 12-inch screens, then let me know if their technology is still better. That goes for Mazda 3, as well.
