I've had players get mad at me becuase I like to sit out a hand every once in a while. They give me the evil eye and say "You're gonna mess up the flow of the cards." The belief is that if a player sits out a hand that the dealer will catch a bunch of small cards and not bust. But I could easily make a counter argument that if I stay in the hand that I'll absorbed all the 10s (and thus bust out) while the dealer catches a lucky 5 or 6 and hit 21 and bust all the other players - had I sat out the hand the dealer would have caught a 10 and busted out. So yeah, that argument go both ways. It's such a foolish thought process. What's frustrating is that gamblers get so emotional about it rather than using some logic.
@@DoomaBJwhat that guy said 😂… it’s true, cause MOST of us starting out don’t have BIG bank rolls. So starting with 300 is more realistic to the non rich foke 😂
A lot of those people doing 1/4 mil arent doing 1/4 mil out of pocket. There are investors that will give money to card counters for a cut of the winnings and that's how they usually get that 1/4 mil.
This is actually a very entertaining video. I don't know if you were, are, or will be a good AP in the future, but like others have said, it's a great video for amateurs like me who play something resembling basic strategy but not much more than that. It's especially cool to see someone who fancies himself a card counter get so emotional about one big hand at the end like us normal folks do, but which more established card counters do not. Also very cool that you don't take yourself too seriously, and seem to have a good grasp that you still have a long way to go, and the general realities of the situation, while still making it seem more like fun than work. Good luck, whatever comes from this. I really enjoyed watching.
Your splits made me think about once at Southland Casino, when I had been Martingaling and got to $400. I got dealt two aces against the dealer's six. I had to split. I got another ace. I split again, then got an ace again and split again. I got another ace! It was the last split allowed by that casino. I did. I got fours and threes as my next cards on each ace. I had $1,600 on the table. The dealer's hole card was a four! My heart sank. Then the dealer drew a five and a nine and busted!! The people from other tables cheered. LOL
14, what a beautiful number! Been learning CC for the last 5 months and have my first casino BJ game in LV next week. Will be red chipping to get a feel for it, but videos like these definitely help me comprehend what I'll be expecting.
I counted cards at my local casino. Took $100 all the way to $800. I know it was a super good run, but everyone else at the table thought i was clueless and that i just had extreme beginners luck. Since i told them, i had only just learned to play 😆
I'm glad you shared your experience! This is the kinda thing I'd do if I were to go counting. Not really some high roller career counting thing, but more just for fun and a little extra spending money when work is slow. Hope you get that windshield fixed though!
Nice man. I am close to going to casino. Just need to learn my deviations and make sure my basic strategy is on point. As far as countering, I watch A1BJ and I can get through his 6 deck videos without losing count. Not even off by one. Close but practice practice! Nice video bro! Get that cheese!
Good stuff bro my first trip to the casino had a small bankroll. Bought in 500 lost 100 so fast I got worried then the count got amazing for the next 2 shoes went up about 600. Took a lunch break. Went up and down for about 3 hours. My brain got really tired (idk if smoking is allowed in your casino but man I lose focus when people smoke next to me) lost the count walked away. Came back a few hours later and pocketed 700 bucks. Card counting is really amazing but it really takes so much time and you have to have grit. I hope to run into one day!!! Best of luck to you
Fun video! Always funny to see spots I've played before, I've definitely done some damage to Delaware Park. I tend to stay at the Raddison in Philly when I play that area, Parx has the best pen in the area and Rivers quite playable. Valley Forge used to be great until they started cutting their decks in half, fkin 3 deck pen you kidding me 🤦♀️ It's nice to see a BJ content creator with the typical stakes one starts off at, I played these stakes for years before teaming up with a friend and taking my game more professional. Would love to see more content from you! Edit: hang on lol I've met you 😂😂 that blackjack meetup in Vegas was fun!
I think everyone can relate to the feeling when you just keep on losing despite the count rising and staying up. And that last hand - man, that's when you really start shaking. Keep up the good work! And feel free to tell us the rules of the game you play, how many decks, etc.
EV is expected value. I guess it’s the same concept as estimated. Just trying to be helpful. Great video. Please produce more! Your storytelling is great. ❤
That was amazing content. That was some real shit. Keep up the amazing work! There is no doubt in my mind you will get big on youtube, stay on the grind. I will definitely be here for the ride homie :)
Happy to see someone with a reasonable bankroll. Do you think betting low has helped to avoid backoff? I have only 4 casinos in all damn Italy to play when I'll be ready.
Dealer mistakes... I like that the two times I've ever noticed the dealer over pay me the pit boss caught it immediately. The couple times the dealer has taken my pushed bet as if I lost it took much longer to get my bet back.
I had two 4s against the dealer 6 once and when I said I want to split, everyone including the dealer got all on me telling me that is NOT basic strategy correct. I went through with it, and won and the table was silent.
Subscribed! Would be cool to see your thoughts on some of the different rules that stick out to you as AP across these casinos. (how's the deck pen; how involved are the pit bosses, etc.)
hey man! love your videos, as someone getting into counting myself, im about 3-4 weeks in of practice, my question is whats your bankroll? your giving me hope that i dont need 250k to start, lol.
What is your total bankroll and what is your ROR? I just recently started and got backed off from a casino about 2 hours from you. I see you have a decently high EV and was just curious on your ROR and what your bet spread was
My first time, I was just trying to keep count, wasn't changing my bet or anything, just seeing if I could do it on the big stage. My last hand, I was down about $30-$40 so I put a bet out that would get me close to even. I stayed on a 17. Dealer gets an 18 and accidently pays me. I grab my chips and run from the table. Final total was down $5 after 3 hours.
I've only been able to gamble when I go on vacation, last time, I played won over 900 dollars with 7 hours of play over 3 days. Say dealers make multiple mistakes and only called them out if it wasn't in my favor. Won over 200 dollars in 1 shoe and they told me to leave. Bet spread was 10 to 40 at 1 to 2 hands.
Man...I'd love this lifestyle. I work in corporate America and make about $160k but I'd love the freedom to be on my own schedule and travel the country. It's not that I hate my job but the fact that it's regimented. But my dude, PLEASE eat well and regularly and get your windshield fixed. LOL Windshields are about $300. Many are mobile service. Just call them to the casino you're at and they'll get it done in 30 min.
Happy that your learning to count, but if a split resplit and double that only totals $350 is a big bet for you than you are playing at a super high ror(especially on a $15 minimum table). Glgl, I've just seen too many guys try to play a 20k roll and get absolutely torched trying to spread on tables with minimums too high for there roll.
I don't know if you are counting cards, and atleast you won bro, but break-even I think because your gasoline and food, but anyway really fun, I'm just learning and studying everyday basic strategy but counting cards I don't know if I can 😊😊😊😊😊😊

A lot of those people doing 1/4 mil arent doing 1/4 mil out of pocket. There are investors that will give money to card counters for a cut of the winnings and that's how they usually get that 1/4 mil.
i think the reason is the variance is so big that the small bankroll won’t be able to cover the losses to continue.
