    I have a 2014 E350 4MATIC And it vibrating when idle and when acceleration and around 65mph. I have changed the engine mount support ( euro aftermarket parts) and also the transmission fluid and filter, we even add quick fix additive, and nothing changes. Also changed the trams support, at this point I'm very frustrated. Sparks plugs and coils are new as well and Fresh engine oil change. Any help will be much appreciated as I'm down several $$$, I love the car but this is driving me crazy 😢

    @FCPEuro - I had this very issue in a old P38 Range Rover - No Codes, but rough at idle (no codes - no small air leaks). Turned out it was a loose flywheel/ring gear. That same issue happened on a Lexus with the 1MZ - (no codes). If active motor mounts fail, and they don't leak, how do you diagnose those? Berney Thompson from ATS did a very informative vlog on using their oscilloscope/vibration analyzer to triangulate the culprit.

    My manual 2009 128i has the slightest vibration on idle. I thought new spark plugs and a valve cover gasket would solve the issue along with a new air filter but it’s still present. Any ideas?

    • @johnnyblue4799
      @johnnyblue4799 Рік тому +3

      Why would the valve cover gasket affect idle? I'd look for misfires, or worn out engine mounts.

      I'm not very knowledgeable in BMWs, but I see yours also has a throttle body, so you might want to check for vacuum leaks. Had some vacuum leaks on my Volvo and the car was still running quite ok, but then when I fixed it I felt the difference.

    • @s19pajua13

      @@johnnyblue4799 Because these engines are more sensitive to vacuum leaks. And no misfire from what I see

      Most likely vacuum leak this is coming from someone who tore both engines down, good luck finding though

    Great troubleshooting!!!! I have a 2006 Mercedes SLK 350 and I noticed only when in parked and probably even on idle I notice a minor vibration. I did change the oil, oil filter and air filters but same issue. I haven’t changed the spark plugs yet but I know they need to be changed also. Any ideas on this specific model ???

    Don't mercs have IACs or EGR valves? These can be issues at idle.

    • @johnnyblue4799
      @johnnyblue4799 Рік тому +2

      IAC is old school. If the car has a fly by wire TB it doesn't need a IAC. Also, if there's variable valve timing probably there's no EGR.

    • @fcpeuro
      @fcpeuro  Рік тому

      Johnnyblue4799 is correct! M112 and M113 engines will still have an EGR, but this is a lot less common to be the source of vibration on those engines than some of the topics discussed in the video.

      We'll have an intake manifold replacement video for this car coming out very soon. To get that job done, you're required to remove the fuel rail from the car (and we opted to reseal the injectors while we were in there). Stay tuned for that one! While the injectors aren't the primary focus, I bet it'll have all the info you need for an M272 injector service.

    I've addressed EVERYTHING & I mean EVERYTHING on my 3.5 M272 c207 chassis & I still have intermittent rough idles, mainly on cold starts. I've done more maintenance than 80% of AMG owners, it's basically a new car mechanically aside from injectors & the MAF although all live data is perfect & never have had any active codes).
    Before I get rid of the car due to an E60 M5 being 90% less maintenance, I have no choice but to throw a MAF at it I feel. My sister's w203 w/ 2.5 M272 is heavily neglected & is smooth as glass.
    A pillarless coupe w/ pano roof & non sport suspension was the worst decision I made. Handles like a horse carriage from 1883 with ALL NEW suspension & NEW REAR SUBFRAME on top of the built in rough idle from factory. Don't buy a non sport c207.

    I have a slightly rough idle on my M113k, and I am thinking it could be something similar where I am not getting a good seal on the throttle body where it connects to the air filters. It's not too bad though.

    Struggling with intermittent vibration at stop while in gear. Also bucks when under light acceleration going up any level of incline. Never when it is cold, only after warmed up for over 40 min. No codes. New motor/trans mounts. New plugs/coil packs, cleaned throttle body and MAF sensor, new air/fuel filter. Still need to check injectors/fuel pump, but leaning towards a vacuum leak. Hoping it’s not a trans issue.
    Have used FCP Euro or the dealer for all parts, mostly FCP Euro because they are awesome! Thank you for supporting the Euro parts supply chain with quality, affordable and warranted parts!

      Believe it or not, a mechanic showed the main motor mounts had excessive play. FCP euro warrantied them out. I'm still working on the car but when it gets back up I will update if that was it.

    I’ve been searching for this info for months, thank you so much. 2008 E350 4matic
    In January of 2022 I purchased cheap left and right front axle assemblies because of torn boots and of course a bunch of crud in the joint. Since then, I’ve had a vibration while stopped in P, R, and D, but the vibration goes away in N. so frustrating, I checked everywhere for vacuum leaks, I replaced the Intake Manifold, motor mounts, transmission mount and plugs “all needed to be done” with no change in the vibration. I just ordered new air cleaner gaskets to try that next.
    My question, do I need to replace both axles or can I get away with just replacing 1? I was thinking SKU: MER-211330180180 since it has a core charge, their must be something in it worth refurbishing and SKU: MER-211330170180 is double the price with no core charge + it shows to be on backorder.
    Thank you in advance for all your help.
