I am 50 and live in Belgium but when I was 16 me and my parents went on a road trip from San Francisco to San Diego and ate a burger in San Luis Obispo. Just saw you passing the sign and brought back so many memories. I guess I want a NC too 😊
I've watched many of your videos, and you are always upbeat and happy, but, dude, when you're with her you have a huge perma-smile on your face! Very well made video, really enjoyed it!
So many great roads for driving along the coast of CA. The views and the curves are perfect for a convertible sports car. The colder the weather, the better the ocean view - the temperature difference between land and ocean creates the foggy marine layer in the summer months. This video makes me want to take my NC up the coast.
With nothing but grey skies since the beginning of November here in the UK, this video was just what I needed, thanks for making these fantastic video's Jordan.
Hey great video as always! I was glad to actually meet you in person! (I was the guy that asked you to signed my miata reunion hat!) still regret not having a sharpie on me :(
Awesome video and looking forwards to watching the entire thing. From my understanding, they just opened that portion of Highway 1 just south of Big Sure that was closed a few days ago! I'm pretty close by 1 and cruise up and down a bit on the motorcycle, but I've yet to do as much of it as you. One of these days I'll just need to do the big cruise of its entirety! It was cool to see Skyline, as well. I cruise that one a few times a week on the motorcycle since it's nearby and I never once taken for granted how good I have it to be close to that beautiful stretch!
It doesn't get as much attention as the stretch between San Luis Obispo and San Francisco, but the rest of Highway 1 north of SF -- from Stinson Beach to Leggett -- is just as good, and doesn't suffer the frequent landslide closures of Big Sur. The last bit before Leggett is especially choice curves.
In the UK we have to drive on that side! The bump in the transmission tunnel for the starter motor is annoying but doesn't get in the way too much with your feet on /near the pedals all the time. I find our passenger side (the left side) has great legroom even if you're over 6ft tall.
@@SerenaBlueeHonestly for the me the passenger side still sucks, I'm 6ft and it feels like it's weirdly angled can't get my feet comfortable in there Driver side is nice though cause of the empty space created by the pedals
Really enjoyed this! It reminded me of driving up PCH in my 91 Miata in the early 1990’s when I lived in Southern California. Would love to now what camera and windshield mount you use when you are driving. Or direct me to the video if you covered it before. Keep up the great work!
The longest I've driven my boat was from Houston to South Padre Island (4-5 Hours), but I had a lose exhaust, a torn soft top, and a bucket seat so it was hell! I am now with a hardtop, a nice single exhaust and oem seats, I really want to take a road trip to California lol.
Love the videos and love what you have done to the NC..I got a question tho I am looking to change the Air Intake from the stock to a Cold air one, I was wondering which one you added to your NC or if u have any recs?
Interesting that you're seeing an increase in mileage. IIRC Mike said at summer camp that he felt like it was a minor decrease in mileage. Is this increase you're seeing just the trip to the coast, or does that include time driving around CO at elevation. Kind of curious if lower elevation can expect to keep roughly the same economy, or possibly a slight increase, while higher elevations might lean more toward slightly lower fuel economy... Noting that your improved economy is about my average fuel economy here in KS at 1300 feet.
Santa Barbara is nice but would struggle making top 25 most beautiful places in Cal. It would though because you aren’t wrong that’s it’s a nice place.
Hwy 1 is the only highway we Californians (I said Californians, hehe) don't put "the" in front of. It's just Highway 1. Or CA 1, or PCH, or the Pacific Coast Highway.
@FlywheelFilms if it has a turbo on it, it's not California legal and they will still referee you with out-of-state plates. Remember . . . . California.
This is legal, it’s CARB compliant. And anyone is allowed to drive their out-of-state car in California even if it isn’t CARB compliant. They just can’t register or stay for an extended amount of time.

We drove from Oklahoma to drive PCH from SF to LA. Hands down the greatest road trip I’ll ever make.

Just bought a NB2 myself! You're such an inspiration to making content, and I love watching your vidoes! Keep up the good work!
My dream trip! Amazing scenery.
I did ride a bike across the Golden Gate Bridge this year. It was so windy and the sound levels were 90 decibels!

38 minutes of pure Miata road trip gold 😎🤌
Great video, Jordan! It was a pleasure meeting you at the Moss Miata show!

Looks like a great drive Jordan! Excited for the next video.
Oh man, i need to go to this next year
Ever actually sit in your passenger seat before? The really aint ANY leg room. Jess is a saint for dealing with it. 🤣

Some great shots here
Been waiting for this one! was nice meeting you Jordan.
No ragrets... no regrets? not any?... :) Beautiful drive. Thanks for sharing!

You two should have a get together with Alex Percucci.
We did Miatas at the Gap together last year! Hoping to do it again next year. He's awesome.
An awesome road trip. What is truly amazing the whole trip with no spare. Did you have any mechanical problems?
No mechanical problems whatsoever! I’ve done about 25,000 miles of road trips through 35 states in this car with no problems or spare tire. 👍🏼
Another reason why this is just the best sports car
Like ever
What drone are you using? I’m in the market.
I want one so bad! And it’s perfect for me because I’m only 5’2. Idk what I’d do about finding a man that will fit in the passenger seat…
2012 GT PRHT, my best is 36MPG.... I average around 29MPG.
Jordan: " I wonder how many are there, probably just like 5"
Spoiler: there were more than 5 😂 KINOD rolls deep.

I am in fact jealous that I’m not in Santa Barbara, but I’m also absolutely insulted that you don’t think it’s the prettiest spot 😭 rude….

or sixth. whatever
You put turbo designation on the back of your car? Are you asking to be refereed? Have you forgotten that you’re in California?
It’s California legal. 😮💨 But I also have non-Cali plates.
