- Here is a short video of my baby gouldian finches just dying for their nightly feed. They are sooo cute/tame right now so I hope that they are more friendly with people than a typical mom raised bird. They are approx 30 days old in this video.

Beautiful babies! So sweet and cute. I breed zebra finches and Java sparrows, but I want to try goulldians too. Working on a huge indoor aviary. My living room is for the birds! Loved this video.

i didnt realize you can actually handfeed these baby finches with the same kind of handfeeding mix that you feed baby macaws and greys with. I can handfeed parrots but these guys are so tiny. Amazing feat.

I raised one who was kicked out of the nest at day @. He is beautiful and tame and even says "Pretty Bird". Sits on my shoulder even when I am drying my hair! I would like some advice though--his nails need to be trimmed, but if I held him for long, he might be traumatized! He's never been "held captive" in my hand before. If anyone has advice, I would appreciate it! Thank you!

Did the babies beg from you like they would from their parent? I had a fledgling that was out of the nest, but didn't beg, so he wasn't being fed. I discovered this too late to feed him unfortunately. I wonder if you can get them to eat if they won't open their mouths.
wanna ask when did you start to feed them .. on their first day that they are born ? (i mean hatched ) or did u wait a little ? ... i have 2 - 3 babies about a week years old ... i cant be sure i should hand feed them .. but also i wanna tame like u do :) ... also their mom and dad freaks out from us ... that is also why i wanna feed them myself ... i have the equipments .. also i raised a budgie like this .. but i afraid this finches different from them ... regards :)

what do you do when one of your babies has a green shade to their poop besides the apple sauce method and when you cant reach an avian vet?
Mine started to do that when they got too old too breed. : / I didn't breed them again.

Surprisingly only those two baby's came out of the cage. Rest did not 🤔
they are so healthy, My I know the name of the feed formula please? I have tried kaytee but for some reason they get sick and Im sure Im giving them the right mixture and water proportions based on the age, I appreciate so much in advance!!👍
I feed them "Exact hand feeding formula". Depending on how old they are, I feed them from the package guidelines.

Thank you for sharing this video. How often do you feed them? Every 2 hrs, and how do you know when they're full? I tried rescuing 3 babies birds, but sadly they died on the 2nd day. I feel so sad that I failed to raise them. I just wished I did the right thing to save them and see them grow up like yours from babies to adult. Sadly now they're gone.
