Reminder to everyone reading this and wondering how DIO couldn't get out: Water Pressure exists. If DIO did get out, or could even open the coffin door, he might have died instantly afterwards. For those saying the coffin should've been destroyed because of the pressure, it was made to survive explosions, it is entirely possible that it could survive the depths of the ocean depending on how resilient we're talking.
