- We are pleased to reveal details of a £1.1bn investment programme in London Stansted Airport over the next five years. The investment will help us attract even more routes to destinations around the world and will include:
A £600m extension to our existing terminal to create a bright, more spacious environment with more seating, shops, bars and restaurants.
A new 14.3MW solar farm to support our current and future energy needs.
An enlarged security hall to accommodate the latest screening equipment.

Expansion past the security, including lots more seating, is really needed. However, I think they ruined Stansted when they moved security down the end of the check in hall, that's made it a total nightmare, and walking hell. Moving security to a central location as it was way back when would be much preferred

I honestly think Stansted should get a second runway. Unlike the other major London airports, Stansted actually has the space to expand in all directions with ample land up for redevelopment.
I honestly think that Stansted should be the new London hub as it has space and then Heathrow can be made into housing or a large shopping centre etc!

They can't get decent staff nowadays to work there and from multiple experiences is the worst UK airport to fly from with delays at passport control and rip off prices for parking and unloading.
Considering it was only really constructed as a modern Airport in 1991, it hasn't been thought out too well and was turned down on more than one occasion before the expansion was built..
Cambridge would be a better location as it would ease the Essex shite hole congestion....
Passport control is the responsibility of UK Border Force and not the Airport.
It’s as if the “high” drop off fees are to discourage people driving and contributing to ‘Essex shite hole congestion’….

How do we get there with our cases.. Walk, use Inexpensive rail links or twice as long National Express. Most flights don't coincide with the timetables too so it is not an option.. I do use Stansted as the flights are cheaper but that's the only reason........
