Miyako is my favorite musician, ever, for a variety of reasons. In this rendition, she takes a metal song and makes it classical, and yet to a metalhead like myself, it's still metal. She is a HUGELY underappreciated talent in the music world. Not just metal, but all music. I grew up playing keyboards, but Berklee College of Misic in Boston, MA, destroyed me playing keyboards.
In the 90’s I had a spell where I was infatuated with classical music, Tchaikovsky in particular. I’ve seen his piano Concerto number 1 in a symphony hall. Watching a pianist of her calibre is mesmerising.
