- Context: NBCC stands for Nagaland Baptist Church Council, an apex body of all Nagaland Baptist churches. The State adopted her Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition (NLTP) Act 1989 as a result of fervent appeals and protests incessantly by the Churches and Naga Mothers Association in Nagaland for about 3 decades since the 1960s.

I live in the US and what Mr. KAHUTO SAYS IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT ABOUT PROHIBITION...THE US Govt ended it due to revenue issues....people who will drink will always drink no matter what...Come to know God and only Then can you overcome your addictions

Some of the richest institution in Nagaland are the churches. The church is so rich but it doesn't uplift the poor and unfortunate people. The people who are controlling the church also controls the money. Hence, they live a luxurious life.
And there are many small churches in and around Dimapur city, run by self styled pastors/Reverends. It has become a business venture for a theologian to establish churches and earn their livelihood through the money generated by their private churches. Sad scenario 😢

The NLTP Act should be done away with. This Act is the reason why the commodity is so expensive, not pure and is also giving chance to few rich people to benefit from the prohibition in crores. If the Act is abolished, the state government can earn revenue which will be in crores of rupees. The public will also get better quality liquor at a lower rate. But I know that the NBCC will never let this happen. Smh....

If the NBcc truly want to ban the liquors...they have to check thoroughly &shutdown all the liquor shop completely in every district or inspect every transportation not for namesake or in the name of Christian state.Being dry state the alcohol is still available in everywhere every corner.
Why only NBCC?! It's an act so Where are the authorities or other political leaders and other organizations, police. Etc. They all should work together to ban it.

I like this channel. I just have one request. If possible please arrange a debate between NBCC(Theologian), Politician and Mr Kahuto and let the deliberation on social issues be debated. I feel and I believe this is the only channel who can host that. We need to stir something to get something. We all know what's happening in Nagaland but we don't get the platform to discuss and deliver the message to the uneducated/uninformed group of Nagas.

What GB said about tizit incidents that's absolutely right as per the Naga customary law but the detail report was that the culprit was caught outside his residence and they started arguing and the culprit runs away and since those Student leaders who were on surprise checking happened to meet the culprit but since he run away they(Student leader) was compelled to chase him and finally he (culprit)reached his home and after getting inside his house he started to attacked. Thus the victim was cut down with machete which took his Life 😢
Anyways it's a great interview with GB Kahuto who is the real hero and honest person among the Nagas. Thank You Bro for the interview 🙏

I don't fully agree that liquor doesn't promote domestic violence. I have seen many of my friend who are very calm and well behaved but after a few peg i notice the start to talk more aggresive they tend to disagree more on someone thoughts and if somone opposed thier ideas they get mad in short they become MR. Know all. And thats how argument start and domestic violence born.
with that point I want to tell to NBCC to notice public not to donate any money earn from liquor or illegal business. So make an announcement in church to everyone and also let the doner confess that this money is not from liquor or illegal earn. That will be very clear message to all

As someone who was a smoker for 1 week and had drank alcohol 4 to 5 times in my entire life (currently 27 years old) what Mr. Kahuto said is 100% right.

Sir Kahuto, your opinion on NBCC really touched my heart and i couldnt agree more.
Many people recieves healing from prayer centres - they pick up people with problems --Mental, emotions, physical pain, etc.
Prayer centres are somehow like rehab centre for alcoholics and drug addicts.
Prayer centres do their best in bringing out good results. These days people are smart.
Prayer centres engages good councellors, preachers, motivators, etc.
Nagaland is under depression, confusion, and many many problems. Nagaland need special attention.
Churches, society leaders, elders should encourage prayer centre to do better, after all they devote their whole day.
And let God weigh everyone's hearts.
