My dad was an alcoholic in the early 80s and 90s. My Mom was facing so many hardships which cannot be explained. We were not able to pay school fee, Tukan baki and house rent on time. It was during these days that Uncle Sungkum suggested my Dad to go to Mumbai Rehab with the help of Kripa foundation for Six months in 1998. It is all God's grace that my Dad is clean for almost 25 years. He never touched alcohol after his return from Mumbai. Many of my Dad's friend has passed away but due to God's grace and Uncle Sungkum and Kripa foundation help at the right Time healed my Dads alcohol addiction and our family is ever grateful to Him forever.
I was an alcohol addict and a chain smoker for 6 years during my teenage life. God delivered me from my addictions and I have committed my life to serve Him till my last breath. The joy and peace that I have now is immeasurable❤ To all those who are struggling with addictions, it’s never too late, make a decision now and hold on to God. I’m whispering a prayer for all of you🙏🏻 All glory to God.
I really appreciated your thoughtful comments. They were incredibly insightful and had a profound impact on me. Thank you for sharing such valuable perspectives.
As a Naga youth in late 20s now, I have been a moderate-high level alcoholic especially since class 11 upto my MA. But one fortunate thing that happened to me in recent years was that, I suddenly developed interest in Philosophy. And I started watching and reading Philosophy materials for quite a long time which radically questioned the core of my existence and then Existential crisis kicked in.. but this whole skepticism about life later made me read Bible just in search for some hope and meaning.. and the Book Ecclesiastes aptly resonated with my Philosophy which finally gave me some hope and faith for better Future by the love of God. Dear men, nobody's gonna save us. People can lend support but to transform is solely upon one's will. Even God's love will have effect on our life only if we repent from sins and seek forgiveness. Also speaking from my experience, young people should really embrace Philosophy.. it will make you stand apart from the mindless crowd.
Imli, I'm watching you from California. I remember our LFS days. So proud of you, my friend. Thank you for bringing a wealth of information through your own personal experience. Thank you for your contribution to our Naga society. God bless, and let's connect. Blessings to your ministry

My father wàs also an alcoholic. The pain and shame that we have to bear was too much; some of my brothers also got addicted to drug and alcohol. But through the continuous prayer from my mother and love from God we were able to escape all this bad habits. Let me break this fact to you brothers. My father did not start drinking to make us suffer or hurt us, but drinking alcohol from time to time gradually create gap in the family, and he start losing control over his life which inturn start hurting us emotionally and physically. Some may say they are drinking moderately and may give some excuses, but it will catch up to you, brothers. Best not to drink. If you are lonely, frustrate, worried, down, happy etc seek out God, not alcohol.

Couldn't agree more with sir Sungkum on his suggestion that the church and the government should come together and work on this issue... I pray that one day it will come into reality🙏🏻
Thank you TLS for this insightful thoughts. It was such a pleasure to have sir Imlisungkum visited our family today. With God's grace we are hoping for more brighter days. May God bless you.
One of the best so far. No confusion, simply a matter of fact from someone who is making his life mission to help people. More power to him, and thanks to LTS for an insightful, educative & encouraging conversation.
Miracles happen if you believe and put your trust to the one who does wonders. Do remember Imlisungkum in your prayer and support him in whatever ways you can for greater glory of the kingdom.
Bless you Mr. Jamir for boldly coming out and speaking the TRUTH to the masses. I have gained quite a lot though your life stories and experiences. Most importantly, it’s such a beautiful thing for giving GOD the entire credit from your addiction. Praise the Lord!! I pray that GOD bless you and your entire family and team members in the days to come. May your testimony reach and inspire many more lives.

All your shows are amazing❤ Especially after seeing this very show I really got inspired cos I have an elder brother who is addicted to drinks. I personally got his number and invited to my brother's place today. They had a long conversation. He really motivated my brother sharing his past and present life. Why everyone is avoiding the problem of underage drinking in our society today? The real problem with nltp act is the young ones get introduced to alcohol at very early age. The elders are all oblivious or just turning a blind eye. Take a reality check everybody, your little angel daughter/neice and talented son/nephew is most probably getting the taste of alcohol currently! How are we allowing them access to alcohol? Ask yourselves?
I strongly advise against repealing the act. The immediate consequence of lifting the ban would be the proliferation of liquor shops throughout our towns and villages, exacerbating the existing issues. The government has failed to effectively address this concern. If the law remains in place, what measures is the government taking to prevent the influx of liquor into the state? It is crucial to regulate the law effectively. The consumption of alcohol has far-reaching consequences, including health implications, socio-economic problems and financial burdens on families. The question of whether to lift the act is not a valid one; instead, we should focus on enforcing and regulating the law to mitigate its negative impacts.
It takes courage to accept yourself as an alcoholic or an addict. The first step to rehabilitation is to accept that you are an addict and you need help...
Church on the total prohition without really studying the case is nonsense. Let the church open up means for the affected ones to rehabilitate and not consider it as a taboo.
Even me I feel so concerned for my alcoholic relatives and all drunkards in general. Many of them are nice people but it's only thier addiction problem. I see guys going in groups to drink in the mornings. I don't know why alcohol is put in such a high pedestal. People seem to worship and value it too much. Like if you drink, you think you're cool and you think you fit in to your friends circle more easily and those who don't drink are condemned . And for many , its like a lack of self control or wanting to be kind of edgy like. Our mindset need to change . Like you said in the discussion, all forces need to join and play thier own parts effectively. Adulterated alcohol should be strictly banned. And church and various societies should always come up with counseling programs for the alcoholics .
In my humble opinion i strongly believe liquor should be made legal. Regardless of whether it is made legal or not, people are still going to buy it either from here or Assam. It's not like people will be forced to consume it because of its legalisation. I would rather choose to support legalization of liquor by which citizens will be able to buy it at a much cheaper rate rather than seeing people die because of adulterated alcohols which are also sold at an increased price. Do share ur opinions as well.
As a responsible husband and a father of 5 children I don't agree with the idea of partial lifting.. because as an unemployed person I do a small liquor business to support my family ..and like me there are thousands of families who are depending on such thing for their daily bread ..😢 and at the end of the day all those big shots are going to get those licence .... Partial lifting tu nahobo re baba ......
