I own 3 Sig 1911 pistols Emperor Scorpion full size, Emperor Scorpion Fastback, and another 1911. First you said it was a Flawed pistol, then you said it had no flaws, its NOT THE PISTOLS FAULT IF YOU CANNOT SHOOT IT.
Why did you feel the need to sell it did you need the money? I don't get it, the only way I'll sell one of my guns is if I really really dislike it or need money. You should have kept it, such a beautiful gun, and it seems like it had some sentimental value in it too.
Right on. Well reflected and said. I feel the same. Before you sell a beautiful, high quality gun, think about it well. If the reason is you need money, get money some other way.
Seems like he wasnt getting the clout for having a Brown or Wilson, etc. Because I heard no complaints other than "it's a Sig" which I have no idea how that's a downside when Sig has historically been one of the most respected names in firearms with the 210, 220, 228, 229, 226, etc.
Beautiful, high quality Sig. Shoulda kept it. Wilson is beautiful and high quality, too, but overrated and overpriced. It all depends on who you are, how much money you have, and what you want and need from a fun. Many low-priced and medium-priced guns have high quality, reliability, and accuracy.
So this may be a very stupid question by why is a light your worst enemy for a home defense gun? Isn’t our responsibility to clearly identify your target? Serious question because I am of the belief that I want to know what I’m shooting at in example not my son playing in the house?
Sore Lip City that’s a good question. It can and cannot be your worst enemy depending on how you use it. If you do momentary flash to clear a hallway or room then it’s good, but if you leave one on the entire time then someone will know your position. Your gonna be the one that doesn’t know the position of the person in your house. You can use a few different tactics. You can do the “don’t tread on me” to where you can lock yourself in a room and call the police, more of a defensive tactic, or you can go looking for the perp in your house. Depending on local law enforcement response time and if you have any other members in the house depends on which tactic to use. The moral of the story is depending on how you use your light depends on if it’s your worst enemy for home defense or not.
GoldenWebb thanks for the quick response, that does make sense I guess I just never envisioned someone rolling through there home with the weapon light on constant. That’s why we need to do our due diligence and get training to be prepared. Thanks again!
Sore Lip City your welcome man! Check out some of my newer videos, there a lot better then this one. I learned most of my stuff in college. If you ever have any more questions let me know, I’m pretty good with most questions dealing with firearms or law or anything policing
@@GoldenWebb Right. A light on a gun is a double-edge sword. It shows your enemy's position, but it also shows yours. Night vision is better if you can afford it.
Sorry, I'm a little confused maybe I missed it, but why did you sell it? I know you said you were done with it and wanted to move on. But then you said the gun had no issues apart from being a Sig and then went on praising Sig. I'm now just a little confused on why you sold the gun; was it cuz you don't like Sig and that was the issue? Or cuz you were just done?. I'm kinda looking at getting a used one so thats why I'm asking, thanks bro!
I don’t know, I’ve questioned this myself mainly because 10mm is coming back in a big way, makes no sense to discontinue them now. There’s a lot of pistols I’d buy tomorrow if it was 10mm instead of 45. Mainly the HK Mark23, FNX45, P220 elite stainless(discontinued) and Glock 40 Gen 5!
@@GoldenWebb I was planning on getting this one. And it's completely discontinued. Only thing I can think of,, is they are making productivity room for Army contract. Guess I'm gonna have to get a Kimber instead.
To each his own. If you want to sell it, sell it. I don't think it is fair to say a con is that it's a Sig Sauer and that it hasn't been around for hundreds of years. The Colt 1911 hasn't been around for hundreds of years either. In fact, the firearm is only 108 years old from its initial production. I carry a Sig Sauer 1911 as my conceal carry weapon, and I love it. I also teach others how to use firearms using my 1911. It is a great firearm and not worthy of being put out to pasture like this. I've owned mine for 8 years.
Brother I’ve had both of them and in comparison to the Sig 1911s i believe they are on the same level. Not throwing off on the TRPs or anything but i believe that the sig is right there with them. Now Dan Wesson is another story, Dan Wesson makes the best pre custom 1911 on the market hands down. Let me know what you think
Did you do any polishing to that or does it come from factory shiny like that? I’m thinking about buying one and the pictures I see all look like a matte stainless
I have the same gun but it has white dot Novak sights. I would love to update to night sights and that same full length guide rod please tell me where to find those.
Its was about time for a new recoil spring so I went with a full length guide & 18 lb flat wire man o man it cycles like butter thanks for the info earlier
You don’t like it because it’s a sig wow hope you find your self you gotta dig deep and do some soul searching I don’t like sig 1911 but it’s a nice gun no doubt

I wont make the same mistake with my Sig 1911 full size nitron finish rosewood Texas grips but I really do want a Dan Wesson Vigil in Commander size. Did you get Dan Wesson
Oh Wilson Combat is out of my league and Ed Brown Kobra may possibly be the finest 1911 ever made. I carried a old wore out 1911 when I was in the army in the late 80"s we had the Beretta in basic training but in Germany I carried a vintage 1911( I was a tanker in the 2nd Cavalry) it shot every time you pulled the trigger. That's why I love the 1911.
Anthony D. Jackson, Jr. Not exactly. The GSR was the first 1911 sig made, there are some good and bad sides to the GSR, most of these problems was fixed with these new models. Mine was made around a year before I filmed this so it was the newest model out. The GSR is still a nice gun, but that lettering shows it’s age and what kind of craftsmanship sig was in during that time. If your looking to get a sig 1911 and you found a GSR, unless you get a good deal on it, (600 or less) I would stay away from it. You can get some new used sig 1911 for around 700-800 easily. You might not find the model you want for a while but just hold out to keep you from having to pay 1100 for a new gun
GoldenWebb Money isn't an issue. I prefer new guns. I asked because I'm trying to figure out a way to carry Sig 1911s on duty, but Safariland is saying that there hasn't been a high demand to make duty holsters for Sig 1911s. It's ridiculous.
Anthony D. Jackson, Jr. Oh okay, the GSR is the same size as the normal one then. I absolutely love the CQC Blackhawk locking holster when I had that sig. it was the 1911 with Rail edition holster. It was right going in at first where the Sig 1911 are thicker at the top and more boxy then a regular 1911. I left mine in it for about 2 or 3 days, just when I wasn’t looking at it I’d just leave it in it and it worked fine after that.
Anthony D. Jackson, Jr. Oh okay. I was just saying that Blackhawk one will work. If you need anything else just let me know and I’ll try and help you as best as I can
