trapped by tourists - Acadia NP, Maine, episode 16 (Oct. 2024)

My original plan for Acadia National Park was trashed as soon as I got there so I decided to take most of the day off to rest and take care of chores. Peak season doesn't only apply to the leaves!

So cool... Love Acadia! Was there Oct 4-6 and I think it was also considered peak season but didn't have quite the crowds you had, don't know why. Thanks for sharing your adventures!! ☮

After yesterday's comment, I'll bet you can still remember how wonderful that R&R was at the motel. I did the road trips for four years, and was on the road two weeks at a time. It left a mark in my daughters memory... "Where's Daddy?"
I became an expert at Motel 6 life. I do have a pretty bad back, and age considerations. I can roll into a Motel 6 with a prearranged handicap room. It's bigger, less abused, better bath, and the same price. I was honest and grateful... they were too!
