Dude...I am simply addicted to the way you project your confidence onto the screen. Watching you move and work is simply..priceless. The coolest and most helpful auto spray painting ever!!
Nice work. Nothing is better than your long videos, I'm a first year apprentice here in Denmark, and I've learned alot, watching your videos. It helps me get past my comfort-zone, and gives me the guts to keep spraying in the booth, even with better results :-) Peace out from Denmark (y)
No worries on longer videos Gunman. You do a great job explaining how its done. Like tou said, some enjoy the in depth videos that explain things twice. Im one of them. It really helps the people that want extra tips on doing things the correct way. Ive seen you spray cars from Classic to Audi, Mercedes to Lamborghini. You know the trade. Cheeres from Los Angeles California USA. Keep spraying brother.
A company called Lenco makes a similar machine here in the states for around $700 US new. I got lucky and picked mine up for 200$ used on eBay. They are a great little machine. I work in a assembly plant and these are the same machines we use to pull dents on the assembly line in the body shop. We have to pull and metal finish small dents in 42 seconds or less, and were not allowed to use any type of filler. These days I can pull most dents out of a car and metal finish with a file and completely skip the bondo or bog stage as you guys call it over there. Just throw some primer over it and block out the scratches from the file and you're good for paint. Wonderful machines, keep up the good work!
Thank you Gunman. i have religiously watched a huge majority of your videos and have significantly noticed an increase of the standard of my work. to a point that i am known in my area for a great job for a good price. Please keep your videos coming, i really appreciate the hard work put into them and the invaluable information.
Glad I found your channel man. Been restoring my 1972 mini and never done bodywork before. watched lots of your vids and went for it. Great inspiration! Thanks bud ✌
Hey mate I've never painted a car, im inspired by your videos. I've been curious for years to paint, i'm restoring a HQ sedan and im tempted to paint the car myself. Your videos are super inspiring. Thanks to guys like you us novice guy's can do our own small jobs. Credit to you keep up the great work.
As a Detailer, I really appreciate your work and know what goes into making a car look great and and a car look fantastic. Great stuff!! I will continue to watch this channel!!
Love the long videos, and all the tricks of the trade, bought a devilbiss SGK 600 and can't wait to start using it and put into practice my first attempt at spraying a pearl with the metalux Galaxy Blue pearl over a charcoal base coat, if I could I would give you two likes for every video, keep them coming I absolutely look forward to watching everyone.
Ha ha gunman your videos just keep getting better and so helpful for the real world backyard kinda guy . I just love this one will be watching it a few times for sure as always mate thank you for what you do .
Hi Gunman Thank you very much for all your videos, tips and tricks. I really appreciate it! I've been airbrushing and spraypainting as a hobby since I was 14 years old. My father teached me the basics and the rest I learned by just keep on practicing and learning of the mistakes I made. Now I'm 20 years old, I'm really willing to make damage-repair and spray-painting as my own business. I'm now investing in professional sprayguns such as your Devilbiss SGK and I hope that I will have my own spraybooth soon. Keep on making these vids Gunman, you really are a magician in what you do ;) ! Grtz from Barneveld (the Netherlands) Frank Rogier
Your videos are by far the best. Have you ever heard of a cycle time reduction repair? It's a technique where you can repair and paint an area as small as a U.S. Quarter or less with even metallics without leaving a halo. It's like a spot blend repair but very small. I think it was a process developed by RM products. Diamont base and clear with UBR 200 blending solvent to burn in the area.
Nice coverage with concept base, even on the first coat. This video is loaded with extra little helpful tips ! Good idea clear coating your blasting visor ! I like the longer videos. More to learn from. Thanks Gunman !
you are funny and I enjoy all your videos long or short..except the ones we can't hear you haha. thanks for all your work and comments. I can rebuild a trasmission and engine all day, program in java for fun and even sing in the rain for free..but painting is a whole different story. It's definitely not something you can learn and get right within a week.
that dent puller is great. I have a cheap one that is 2 different parts. you first put the studs , then pull the stud and cut them and grind. The style you have is at least 4 to 5 times faster.
Been looking to get a job as a spray painter trainee/apprentice with no luck at all. But seeing how good you go into detail with your videos i can put what your saying to practice at home :) keep it up bud
Great channel. Only just found it, but a couple of videos in and i am already thankful for the very interesting content. Thanks for sharing some tips, and taking the time to explain everything so well. Much appreciated over here in the UK.
Thank you, Gunman, these videos are so helpful. Filled with great advice and techniques/experience. I have an '85 Omni GLH Turbo and doing some repairs at home in the driveway developing my skills.
Hey Gunman, I wanted to say how great your channel has grown and become. From age 16-21, I worked at a collision repair facility and your videos bring me back. Now, I am a public high school automotive instructor and my students really like your videos. As for myself, I have watched every single one. I especially like this one, because it is such a complete guide. I know you are always looking for suggestions, and I have one. When you are naming the sandpaper grits, a small pop up should appear saying and spelling it out somewhere on the video. Possibly for the primer/reducers/thinners/grease removers, etc. For my students, I have them take notes on your notes. Again, awesome job and keep up the great work.
Cool. I made a video on Sunday with your feedback in mind it's called Repair, Prime, Prep & Paint VL Boot, it will be uploaded on Thursday. It took near all day to make that one but if it helps then all worth while.
Hey, this is a very informative video as I'm just a weekend backyard mechanic w/little to no autobody skills. I welcome the long videos because I'm in a learning mode. Besides, anyone can fast forward past segments they don't want to view. Keep up the videos and I'll keep watching.
Hey Gunman another awsom video as always, thanks heaps for all the tips you have given us DIY guys to get our projects looking there best. I have purchased 2 SGK 600's recently in prep for a couple of projects coming up. I to enjoy the longer video's that you do & I thank you for your time & effort that you put into making & editing all these video's that you have done. Hold your head high Gunman with Aussie pride. Another job well done.
To anyone asking why the heater display is producing that "disco" effect, the answer is led multiplexing: when you look at a digital display you think that every segment is lit up but it's not. Just one segment at time is lit up, but electricity is "moved" on every segment that fast that to human eye all the segments on the display look lit up. This technique saves a lot of power since just one segment at time is powered up and not all of them. You can see the effect on camera just because the frequency by which is working the multiplexing is different from the one at which operates the camera (just like filming computer monitors), so the mismatching frequency between the devices gets caught on camera like a flickering.
@@TheGunmanChannel I'm a mechanic but I love painting just started painting and I've learned alot from you thx man keep doing what you do you're awesome happy new year to you and yours
I was amazed by the pull up dent welding gun.don't know it was even exist.it makes things easy..here we do it manually by welding a piece of steel then hammer it to pull it.anyway nice job.
Very informative & easy to follow,i painted an AU bonnet in silver two pak under your instructions,it turned out quite acceptable . Thanks Regards Kevin
nice vid i like watching the long ones and the info even though you might repeat yourself some of it turns out to be important. Stud welders and the pulling accessory which is a flat piece then sits on the stud and pull works great on dents and creases comes with the slide puller and i found an accessory that turns the stud welder into a plastic stapler awesome piece of kit. keep up your awesome work my friend
Just found your channel ,nothing wrong with longer videos if content is good and narration has a bit of a story . Will slowly watch other videos ,well done keep up the good work
