I have to share this because I was so overwhelmed that I felt it was necessary to reach out....last night, 12/21/20, I had one of the most vivid dreams I've ever had. Mind you, since the late 80s I've always been a huge fan of the Seattle music scene, I'm now 54 years old, so most of these guys are/were my peers, which made the music much more personal to me growing up. That being said.....I really didn't want to wake up this morning, and why? I found myself having this..... intense but sad dream about Chris Cornell. Not sad in a sense that he was hurt, sad because I had to wake up from it. Ya see, in this dream, Chris was smiling from ear to ear.... this was Chris from the early 90s, with the long hair and the goatee (both of which I still have present day).... Chris walked over to me, not sure where the hell we were.... but I was sitting down at a piano, and he sat down right next to me smiling. I know I was shocked and amazed at the same time, thinking "is this really happening?"....I wasn't uncomfortable and I knew there was a million things I wanted to ask him, but I couldn't because he appeared so healthy and happy that I didn't want to ruin the moment. I think he knew I was troubled about his death.... but there he was, sitting with me at a piano. He reached over to the keys and said...."let me show you something"..... now, I have no clue how to interpret dreams nor have I ever attempted to, but, I really believe Chris has known my struggles with death with those around me, and ultimately his own. I've carried so much weight just not knowing the reasons why so many have passed on that I admired, and family members I've loved. I like to think Chris knows my troubles and appeared in my dream just to let me know that he is OK.....and happy....and that I shouldn't be distraught over his passing. I also believe his way of comforting me was by sitting down at the same piano as I, smiling, showing me different chords to play on the piano. I can't explain this dream but I know I didn't want it to end....I actually took off work to fall back asleep in the hopes I could pickup where it left off, of which it didn't. Chris Cornell and Layne Staley musically meant the world to me..... there were so many times in my life that it really seemed like these 2 were speaking to me on a personal level through their lyrics. I'm positive I'm NOT the only one.....but I really think Chris appearing in my dream last night was a reason for me to relay this message to all that he is at peace.....(I can't wait to practice the chords he showed me).....just needed to share this with everyone.
@@christinecanty5409 I've learned that you really never lose someone you love when they pass..... you leave a part of yourself behind at that moment..... and take a part of that person with you moving forward in life. That's what gets me through..... hope those words, will in some way, do the same for you or someone else reading this trying to cope with loss.
Not to mention that he was a true entertainer, watching all his videos of all his concerts, sometimes I think he was entertaining himself. He was so awesome and beautiful perfection that God created.
I was lucky enough to grow up in Seattle in the middle of the madness and I wish these videos could communicate even half of the brooding, reckless explosiveness of a live Soundgarden show back in the day. It was unbelievable, the amount of energy that was brought to bear. Eddie and PJ were (still are) the best rock and roller jammers going, Nirvana's epic screeds were incredible to behold, but Garden was an 18-wheeler diving downhill in a hurricane with no brakes. Thank you to whoever posted these, the memories come flying back. Mosh pits and stage dives 4-evah.
How wonderful that must have been to witness all that greatness in person! Wish i had a time machine. Would give anything to have seen SG live in the 80's..or early 90-92. Do ya remember which SG shows you watched, like which venues?
I’ve started making music myself with my band.Bands like Soundgarden Alice in chains led zeppelin muse and many more inspire us but with covid we’re stuck with busking in the shit weather but hopefully next we can start gigging and recording our originals and start a new wave of rock type music for the 20s era
Slaves and Bulldozers at Pink pop is insanely HEAVY it's my favorite especially when he makes fun of the Doors. Great picks!! I saw them live a lot in the 90's 🤘 Thank you!
Bunch of fat rich white guys as far as I'm concerned.. They've inducted Nirvana and Cheap Trick, but Alice in Chains has never even been nominated once. That should tell you something...
I love Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog and Audioslave I absolutely love Chris Cornell and his solo career the man was so creative and beautiful with a beautiful heart n soul, you are truly loved and missed R.I.P 😔😇♥️🤘
Naw naw naw brown cow! Lol love it 26:24 he said brown cow, first he said rain rain go away. No one sings like you any more. He was and still is the very best voice of ROCK AND ROLL, forever.
46:00 big bottoms, omg he was such a baby, look at how young he is singing about big bottoms, lol he was only a baby himself. Love it, thanks so much for sharing this.
What a pleasant surprise! If this doesn't make ya feel good, i don't know what will 😆. Best crank it up SG compilation ever. I felt this one. Thank you so much The Grunge Scene, Happy Thanksgiving to ya and all you Mighty Garden fans💚✌ Part 3.....🙄 Oh and love Chris & Ed on my screen ~brothers♾
His voice is like Shannon Hoons. They're SOOOOOO UNIQUE AND SIGNATURE!!!! You cant replicate them. When we lost Chris, I'd started working at Pizza Hut. It was a 6 mile walk to and from work. I'd learned how to play Blow up the Outside world. Walking along a very fast road... I'd be signing full extent and TRYING to just get a CU*T HAIR CLOSE to his sound! You just can't. It's the thing that showed me.... you can learn to play the songs with ALL the subtle things that MAKE IT thier song!!! The voices.... you cant replicate. You can simply just sing in the same manner/key/tone.... You have to put ur own into it to make it sound as authentic and believable as they did! Hence!!! NO ONE WILL EVER AGAIN SING LIKE YOU I hope they're all happily resting in peace
who's got the hook up for those last two songs!? I know one of them is big bottom but what concert was that from? I need more of that in my life if there is more!
Getting all nostalgic and shit.. By far one of the best bands ever walked this earth..
Chris Cornell was the Best of the Best .. No one will ever compare to that voice .. Absolutely One of a Kind !!
Chris Cornell was the best. Thee icon!
Cough cough...Layne Staley is my favorite
Mine too. Chris is dare I say second..
NoOne could 'Touch Cornell,... No-One!! Legend 🤘🏼🖤

Awesome. Chris has come to me 3 times in a dream. He’s still here.

God I was born in the wrong generation like music just doesn’t have the same energy and raw talent anymore

They have to be in the rock n roll hall of fame. Sooner or later
Fuck that who cares. The rock and roll hall of fame doesn't deserve Soundgarden
@@adikickass84 facts haha. I also think that chris wouldn’t have cared about awards like those, he was very humble and an exceptional friend

Great performances by them💖
Gibson should have made a tribute silverburst for Cornell. He's the reason I bought one.
I love it better when's he's not playing guitar. That way he can focus on blowing us away with his voice.
