never seen a crowd rock out this hard to opening act before.
Soungdarden wasn't any bullshit act..... should have headlined that fuckin show
Lol that’s because the opening act was soundgardem :L
Fact, normally people stiil sleeps or get a grip ! Its a proof how amazing band Soundgarden was in prime time
@@ycc7744 I was about to say that you beat me to it
@@dawidklucz849 they were still amazing in 2014 when I saw them
Man Matt Cameron is just killing the drums, he's bloody awesome. They were all doing their own thing but they really gelled together as one....amazing...we'll never see the likes of this again...RIP Chris...A couple of my buddies ditched our High School Prom in Brussels to go and watch this in Paris...
excellent opt-out, i'm sure you all are much better for it
Ha
Hope your doing well.
And he did all that in a kit the size of a shoe.
Chris Cornell in god mode...
GnR shouldve opened for them.
Guns and Poses sucks ! enuff said
@@drums554 relax gnr kick ass buddy don't be close minded
Imagine lucking into this
ya'll don't have to pretend it's still the old days- you know you can openly enjoy both bands. the person who put this bill together did. free yourself, its fun
I honestly think the crowd didn't really get what all Soundgarden's tragedy was about back then, GnR wasn't like that.
I was there. I was 17. That was a day in my life that last, and will last. RIP Chris. You have rocked my life, you have rocked my son's life too. You will last in my heart.
Soundgarden - Live in Vincennes, Paris, FR.
00:01 Intro.
00:23 Searching With My Good Eye Closed.
04:30 Hands All Over.
10:37 Jesus Christ Pose.
This gig is so fucking sick
It's one hell of an opening act!! 🤘
i think 92 is when chris found his full voice...this is sick
'91-'94 he was untouchable, from TotD to the Superunkown sessions.
Another hint is that he always had trouble with his incredible parts live, but in the live recordings from this era he's on fire. The Beyond the Wheel live from the BHS single is absolutely crazy.
@@ChienJaune01 not in my experience. I saw over 100 Soundgarden shows in person from '89 to 2017 3 shows from the end. I never saw Chris have trouble with any song live. He killed Beyond the Wheel every night, zero trouble ever.
@@rogerm1343 he did not sound very good in late 96. The decrement 96 shows he has serous trouble with pitch and staying on key . His vocals on the live on I5 record are not great by Cornell standards it was a very rough period for him. I felt he was having alot of trouble on the mid 2000s and had lost alot of range but then he took some singing lessons and regained alot of range. His voice did change alot . He singing in the latter years is quite different compare 92 to anything during soundgardens second run he still has most of his range but it's more dry sounding and does not have the power
His voice in 92 is no different then his voice during the previous years Badmotorfimger was recorded in 1991 and that is considered to be his peak studio performance. Them you have the temple of the dog album which was recorded in 1990 which also has some of his best vocals
I saw them in August 1993 with Pearl Jam and Neil Young at Exhibition stadium in Toronto. The Beyond The Wheel performance at this show was when I feel Cornell’s voice was at its peak. They were also in the middle of recording Superunknown at the time. Check out the song on UA-cam
To me Cornell is the the same level of Ronnie James Dio, Robert Plant, Ian Gillian and Bon Scott.
Eli Barros Good call. Amazing voice.
yes he is
RIP Cornell!!
Far better than all of them.
You nailed it sir! He was a rock n roll God!
Epic version of Jesus Christ Pose.....
Chris voice is great and we all know it. but hell how that rythym section is full bodied!
SG were alway away ahead of their time!!!
STP, Nirvana and Pearl jam were great bands, no doubt, but SG and AIC were the top in my opinion: sick guitar players, bassists, drummers and voices all together!
man, cornell sounds at his best here!
Got to love Ben, he seems like the most rebellious.
Matt Cameron IS A BEAST!
Soundgarden is a beast
back when the fans were actually fans! amazing performance, the boys at their prime, long live SG!
I'm curious what you mean by "fans were actually fans". Are you referring to Soundgarden fans specifically? Or fans in general?
Either way though I don't understand the point you're making and I'm intrigued! :D
how could they be the opening act when they just outshined the main act
Lol!
ADMIRAL awesome was more like coheadliners but it was gnr tour. Soundgarden was already household name by then
mike johnson yeah but, GnR ruled the world back then. Soundgarden was pretty well known, but not to the mainstream.
ADMIRAL awesome Soundgarden ended not only, GnR's career but a whole slew of bands' careers. It was a monumental takeover like no other.
Definitely, what a performance!!!!
Still so surreal to think we will never hear this voice live in the flesh again.. RIP Chris!!!
Chris at the beginning of his vocal peak, goose bumps.
Soundgarden is the greatest grunge band ever known. ❤
The front act outshined the main act...hahahaha...SG at their best :)
Best band EVER.
the power here is sickening...dear god...
Those guys were solid as fuck.
Matt Cameron's explosive drumming..!!! Love u soundgarden..
I still have my VHS copy the day we rented this. Baked to the gills cranking Soundgarden and Guns. I miss those times
How long is the entire set? I would love to get ahold of a copy
Best live performance of Soundgarden on youtube imo
I feel the exact same way. I always go back to this concert for some pure explosive precise Soundgarden 🤘
Yep, Matt Cameron is a drummer GOD...One of my favorites and he may be one of the best drummers to come out of the Grunge era
The best
I was at the Badmotorfinger video show filmed at the paramount in Seattle. 2nd show. Right in front headband ingredients to JCP as Chris hit those high notes. Absolutely on top with R. PLANT. and I believe better. BEYOND THE WHEEL. FTW. if you want to see, I mean hear how he is better than Plant as far as range and power wattage output.
Ixxgxx bezt singer of all time. imo
I agree with the comments below, this is insane. I saw them in Feb 2015, they were great, but this is outrageous. Love it, love it, love it!!!!!!
That is just sooo heavy. Lordy....
Opening and Closing Act!
Man, the 90's were so fun!!
Wowww This guy! Love Ben Shepherd!!!!
0:40 Love how even the camera operator is a soundgarden fan!! 🔥
God Bless Soundgarden forever, powerfull
Holly shit...Ben Shepperd really is the punk soul in this band!!!
He is. Love his Void tshirt
and it seems Kim is wearing a Saccharine Trust shirt
Whoa good eye I didn't even notice that(too busy trying to see what he's doing on the guitar). Both great bands - props to Kim and Ben.
Are you talking about sound, or image? They're all great musicians.
Why is he playing so close to the floor, maybe to get to those real low notes ??
'92 doesn't seem like that long ago, then I see this, God it makes me feel old! Wish I had been at that show!
Woowww I remember I saw that live on t.v the best one that I saw 28 years and still rocks like the first time thank you Chris rip 🙏🏼
Dude Chris says "You can cheer for guns and roses. They're the hosts of this party. *They wanted us so they invited you!*" That is some rockstar shit right there. RIP Chris
Soundgarden kicks ass!!!!
A perfect moment engraved in my memory and in my heart... forever!
ben "preying mantis" sheppard
rip Chris
These guys are awesome!, looking back over the years you can really appreciate how killer these guys where.
WHAT! A! BAND! They were at the top, all of them!
I think he is better.....look at ALL of his accomplishments! He is awesome and we would ALL be so lucky as to see him in concert, live at least once in our lifetimes! HANDS ALL OVER!!!!
God damn they were good. Legends live forever.
RIP Chris. You were one in a million.
the drumming is so sick
R.I.P. Chris, you will be missed. Was in college in the early 90s and saw them play a few times (and Chris much more over the years, including Audioslave, solo/acoustic and Temple and Soundgarden reunion). Each was an exercise in the pure brutality, power and beauty of their music.
Chris doing what he does the best, loved it!
so agree with you man, best band from every point of view
My favorite performance of all time...
best musician in history: Chris Cornell. My favorite band as well, all 4 great songwriters and performers.... super talented
30 years and their music still raises my hair. I love Soundgarden.
Incredible/mind-blowing performance 🤘🤘🤘👆🏼
Kim looks like Leo from that 70's show here
I saw them later 2nd July 92, in Lisbon! Shity GnR show, great Soundgarden and Faith no More! The days of great rock music!
He was so beautiful! Forever Chris!!!!!!!
\m/ SoundGarden Best ERA EVER \m/
I remember watching this when it aired.
God he was a talented man and God he was beautiful! ( outside ❤and inside).
I was there... great time. Nostalgia invades me...
Don't even know the drummer's name.. But he's awesome. Very tasteful playing
That would be Matt the Master Cameron. Just about the best of the era.
Matt Cameron is also drummer to PJ...
Yes Matt is such a great combination of some of the best. Plus his own flavor of coors.
@@HaikuAutomation
Agreed...Sean Kinney is a creative powerhouse, Eric Kretz is a master of tempo discipline but Matt’s the best of that bunch by a pretty significant margin.
@@manifestgtr Tim herb Alexander from Primus and Danny Carey Tool are better , also from that era
i was like ''WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT OVERRATED N ROSES'' at the beginning
Till our beautiful Prime SOUNDGARDEN appeared in all their beautiful Metal/Hardrock glory
Hard to find words for this. It's beyond otherworldly!
HEAAAAAVYYYYY!!! OH MY GOD! God bless this f# band!
Awesome video
I watched this concert live in real time on pay-per-view and asked myself how does Guns N Roses go on stage after this performance. RIP Chris.
To start things off. Lol, I couldn’t imagine soundgarden as the opener, but there was a time when it was so, I reckon.
Kim Thayil bad ass in the end of the show.
Shirtless, Rock God on stage, priceless. 😍
Rested vocals are good vocals. 👌🏼
Put that shirt back on baby!!
Love Kim's little change up of the chorus, sounds sick 🤘
Jeez he really humbled he said you could hold up guns n Rose's signs while they're performing.
I was there with my friends, I was 16, it was amazing. They were so tight and powerful, a tough act to follow, even for Faith No More and GNR who were after. Great memories.
greatttt !!!! thanks for upload this
J'ai eu la chance de voir ce concert qui reste gravé dans ma mémoire🤟🤟
Ah back when music was awesome!
Searching with Ben Shepherd’s Bass Skillz
RIP Chris... I'll miss you !!
The man had it all.
Ben has the longest arms in the history of rock.
We just went to church ppl.
And I go to this church everyday.
Always a spiritual experience.
Star seed dropping in to take your soul for a ride.
Can’t imagine another of this magnitude and influence.
Forever with us.
Hallelujah for sending us Chris.
I love this rip Chris with all the love you have been missed thank you for your amazing music.
This RULES.
This is how to rock it.
This delivers !
RIP CC
Phenomenal performance and amazing sound quality! You only wish they could have played a longer set.
90s was the age to be alive. I can only imagine!!
Thank you.
YESSSSSSSSS ANOTHER SOLD OUT SOUNDGARDEN CONCERT IN THE SOUTHSIDE NO WONDER WE'VE WON SO MANY GRAMMY'S!!!!!!
Still Here With you CHRIS in 2022!!! RIP you have saved many lives
Hands All Over - those vocals!
great sound quality
he is a great singer,i think the feedback off that guitar laying across monitor so good sound best drummer too bass playing
why did it take the majority of us to realize these guys, (especially Chris) where on another level WOW!
Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice In Chains all had MTV Unplugged, except for Soundgarden.
I think Soundgarden were just too powerful. I dont think that their stuff could ever work Unplugged.
It would work
@@OGGOAT23 maybe hits like Fell On Black Days, Pretty Noose, The Day I Tried to Live, Blow Up the Outside World, Black Hole Sun (which has been done acoustic multiple times). But then you have Jesus Christ Pose, Outshined, Slaves & Bulldozers, Rusty Cage, Room a Thousand Years Wide, Beyond the Wheel.
There is no way those can be done unplugged.
@@SrbijaCG Chris did an acoustic version of Outshined and it kicked ass. You might wanna look that up!
@@SrbijaCG chris has done acoustic of 4th of july..one of the heavy soundgarden song
I think many of Superunknown and Down on the upside could work unplugged, but Badmotorfinger and Ultramegaok...no way...but incessant maze, could work maybe with two or three guitars.
Matt Cameron had so much flow in the old days. He became quite rigid and comparatively uncreative in later years, mainly after playing with PJ - imho
Matt Cameron is god
The best ever!
J'y était , un de mes meilleurs souvenir de concert . Soundgarden , Faith no more et Guns' n Roses...
Best Band Ever.
I was here , it was a great gig, I remember.
I like and respect GnR but Soundgarden is the shit, really out of this world
like i need to be saayyaaaved, saayaaaved.... they are really tight here, and the mix is terrific.
I'm feeling Soundgardenish this morning 🌄
