I'm curious how warm the water is coming out of there. It's fun watching someone grind it out during the winter months. You had a pretty good day to be honest. Congrats on 30k subs. It looks like your shorts are going viral again.
@@BackroadsAngling thanks, man! I've told myself to bring a thermometer there a few times but I always forget. I may be back in IL again next month and try here again. I'll try to bring one then.
Not sure. Ironically, my job (in Knoxville) sent me to Streator, IL for site work on a solar farm for the first 2 weeks of December. I got like 6 videos filmed while I was there.
@@yourgrandpa7563 Funny enough my job (in Knoxville TN) sent me on a 2 week project in Streator IL, 45 minutes from where I grew up (Bloomington). I got like 5 videos done while I was in town!
@@Mylris Lol, no. This was filmed before his video. I've been going to this spot since before he was. Scroll through my old videos if you don't believe me
@@EngineeringHooksets Was there some fishing spots you've found because of Nick or have you been fishing in all of the same spots nick had way before you discovered his channel.
We're from close to the same area so its just a given that we're gonna fish the same spots. We've even both posted videos at a spot in Missouri (Im pretty sure my video was first) just because I have family in Hannibal. I've found several cool spots from his channel but they're all in southern IL and I haven't tried any of them yet (Rend, Sangchris, etc)
Awesome video! Love watching others fish in the cold weather cause im too much of a wuss to fish in the cold lol. Do you like the berkley cherrywood rod? Was thinking about grabbing a lower price rod
@@mtzteach3 This video was filmed a couple days before his was posted. I was disappointed he showed so much drone footage in his video, basically told everyone where it is.
The buffalo are such a tease 😄 northern Illinois rivers and creeks are loaded with those big guys and they never bite artificial lures.
Awesome video and nice catches!! That’s spillway is tough right now. Not producing the strippers
@@PFishing12 Thanks man! But I don't think you're ever gonna find strippers at this spot 💀
@@EngineeringHooksets😂
That fence came out of no where! Its pretty sweet that you are catching fish deep into December. Got the hat trick, too. Nice buffalo.
Thanks for watching, man!

The one by me stays around 60 degrees
nice walleye at the end
Thanks!
Awesome Multi-Species day especially in the cold. Keep up the great content. How often are you coming back to Illinois to fish?

@@EngineeringHooksets I've always wanted to fish that dam in Streator, but not sure if you can shore fish it.
@@BananasacOutdoors I've thought about going there but it'd have to be in the spring. I assume its shallow so idk if there's anything there now
Damn man if I knew you were in town I’d love to fish with you sometime, be kinda cool been there a couple times in the summer

Thanks! Yeah, its been great.
Nice video man. Ive only caught buffalo on night crawlers
@@FishingWithZach thanks, man!
Last winter I had a buffalo eat a tiny skinning rapala jerkbait in there
Smh stop snagging fish, Nate
They have tip replacements at sportsman’s warehouse super easy and strong af
Ive already replaced the top guide. The issue is it took about 5 inches off my rod.
@@EngineeringHooksets it’s not the length of the rod that matters it’s how you use it lol
This is the second time I’ve seen a video at this place in the last 3 weeks. 618 fishing was the other. I live 5 minutes from here.
