    Nice video mate !! Keep it up!🎣🎣💙
    About that noise it happened to me once just buy some good gear oil like Penn stuff. Put some in the shaft when you remove the spool and also inside the pin where you screw the power handle. Just put a little and turn the reel slowly so the oil will get through the gears but don’t put too much just a little each side I mentioned and on roller put some oil as well and work it round with a rubber band or something to move the oil inside. That should fix the problem also if you buy some grease you can put some on the top of your spool inside the washers will help also maintaining the reel in good condition. Hope this helps you out. 😅

    After missed strike like that, I open the bail for a couple of seconds to imitate a knock out baitfish after the strike. Sink for 2 or 3 meters and start jigging again. Sometimes this results in a re-strike.

    • @NicodaFishing
      @NicodaFishing  29 днів тому +1

      Agree, that is a great method! Also works well if there are several fish hunting together as very often one of the others will take it instead.

      @NicodaFishing yes, get in the head of the baitfish. Some fishspecies first hit the bait and collect it after that (leerfish). That amberjack was nice, they taste good btw 😝

    Sound is probably line roller bearing. Sometimes there is a lot of dried salt and you can hear it. And once it gets some water it stops. So replacing it is what you need to do.

      Thank you!!! Because it happens so rarely, I have never been able to show anyone how it sounds.

    Hey brother, I really enjoy your videos and think they are very helpful for beginners like me. I saw how you talked about the sgs2 in this and other videos. I am still deciding if I should go for the sgs2 or a more expensive rod (Hart bloody marine power 20-80g 2.85cm)😅. I fish in Montenegro so the target species will be false albacore and amberjack. I‘d like to hear your thoughts on the marine power (I don‘t understand why it costs 100€ more but maybe you do). Keep it up brotha. I hope I will hear from you soon😊

    • @NicodaFishing
      @NicodaFishing  26 днів тому +1

      Hey man! First of all thank you for these kind words! I don't have any personal experience with the Hart rods but after looking online it seems like it is specifically for spinning instead of jigging if that is what you are looking for. The sgs2 will also have a longer butt section, which is ideal for shore jigging as you keep the rod in your armpit. If you on the other hand are looking at the spinning rods, then I have heard great things from friends who use the sgs2 spinning rods and I will most likely go for one myself for next summer. Apologies if I couldn't give you any concrete advice!

    For the noise of being in the reel , make sure there is enough grease around the interior parts. Otherwise, check the main bearing.
    Hope you get that resolved.

    I'm very new and confuse to metal jigging. When I first start jigging metal jig for first time, I was told to crank/jerk 3 time and let it sink/wait for 1-3 second. Then, when I watch your video, I keep seeing you crank/jerk forever until you reel it in. When to use certain technique? Please help me clear my confusion!

    • @NicodaFishing
      @NicodaFishing  26 днів тому +2

      Hi brother, thank you for the question! I understand that it can be confusing in the beginning and even I am asking questions regularly to learn more from others experiences.
      So it has a few reasons why you would jig in different ways.
      Jigging close to the bottom with only a few jerks and then letting it fall will be very effective for fish like groupers and snappers that like to hug the rocks. It can also depend on what type of jig you are using.
      If you are using a jig like palms slow blatt, these are specifically made for jigging with a few quick jerks, then stop and let it flutter down.
      From the bottom up to the surface you will find other species, depending on where in the world you live. We have bonito, little tunny and bluefin tuna mainly swimming in the free water mass, and amberjack, blue runners that live closer to the bottom but do not mind chasing after a jig many meters from the bottom.
      The bait, swimming in the free water around here are mainly sardines and needle fish to name a few. They are on the menu for all of these.
      Depending on the situation, I will jig about 7-15 times before letting the jig fall again, either to the bottom or stay in mid water.
      I hope that helps a little bit. Essentially the type of fish you target, that is where your jig should be.
      Good luck brother!
