Keep up the good work! My Flat 6 is still running strong in my 987.2 Cayman, but if that ever went south, i'm counting on your K24 kit, assuming you've figured out the fitment as of yet. Good luck!
This is my plan.
Count me too
Waiting on your kit! Trying to be patient. 🙂
Me tooo😮
I JUST FOUND YOUr FIRST K Series Boxster Swap VIDEO 30MIN AGO and was like no update yet 7 min later you posted a new video 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
The wing popping up during a run is hilarious 😂 Great stuff Nick 🤙
Awesome work! Looking forward to the swap kit, need to replace my 3.2 that went boom on track 😂
I can't overstate how much a swap kit for the 986 Boxster/Cayman is needed. Would hit the "Buy" button right now if it was available.
Amazing to see!
holy god. Nuts I love that your swapping K series in porsches.
After seeing the beautiful Miles Works Widebody Boxster kit I've been dreaming of a big turbo K swapped widebody boxster. Never thought I'd ever say that.
didn't expect for K to beat it everywhere
I actually have a 986 shell with its worn engine with 190k kms just sitting in my garage. The goal was to redo the chain guides, new clutch and flywheel, etc. but pricing it out it's well into the thousands just to refresh this engine that only made 201hp when it was new. I'm interested in this swap, and I'm only about an hour away from Toronto as well.
Get on with the cayman swap man! 😆
I've built up a nice enough budget for the swap now, Got a k24 engine sat on a stand just waiting for progress now 🙂🙂🙂
Been waiting for this considering a 911/ cayman for my next toy .
Definitely interested in your kit for the 986. Been thinking of swaps for my street/autox build since swapping in any rebuilt porsche engine is probibitively expensive.
so cool
You should do a dyno comparison between a mustang(if there’s a shop near you with one) and your dynojet using the same car on the same day with no changes in tune.
Count me in for a 996 k-swap
Great video and swap comparisons Nick! The ultimate reasonable swap for me for street car would be JDM K24a, DIC/oil pump mods and Rotrex C38-92 with air to water IC and methanol injection on pump gas, would be right around 400.
Did you find a cheaper solution to integrate the stock computer and engine management than your K911 project?
K SWAP EVERYTHING BRO!!!
nice to see how the stock motor compares! k24 with the cam - was it done in February? wow
Awesome, any update on the 981 boxster? The non S has dropped in price quite a bit and this could become more viable for that gen.
Super interested in K swap kit when it’s available
Love it, I have a boxster s with a dead engine, I'm about to do a wide body..very interested in k24 turbo conversion instead of me rebuilding my 3.2
Have you created a swap kit for boxsters
Great video, first time I saw the kswap Porsche was in an old Robbie Ferreira video! In the process of swapping an 88 s10 and would love to have the truck tuned by you. I live about 9 hours away so what would the process be? Do I bring the truck up when it’s done and leave it with you for a bit? Looking for about 550-600+ on my built k24z motor. Looking into potentially getting 4piston stage 3 cams but I need some advice on what valves and springs to go with as well as injector size recommendations.
Have you do a comparison of the k24a vs k24a2?
Hey Nick- I really enjoy your videos. The K swap is a great option for more power but you forgot to mention weight (quantity and location) differences between engines. The magic behind the Boxer's handling is that its center of gravity is right around the driver's waistline. If the C.G. location changes drastically, this might make the Boxer's magic disappear. I hope you can design the swap kit to keep the C.G. from moving too much.
This is a great point, I have the same concern.
I don't think you will ruin the handling capability of a Porsche by removing several hundred pounds, even if the CoG gets a tiny bit higher.
Efficient drivetrain on that boxster 👌🏾
How’s the boxster swap kit coming along
Might as well cause I plan to or just get a cayman
Booster kit complete?
What would a swap like this cost?
Whats the cost to do the swap? I also live in Ontario and willing to send you the car.
Hey is there a way to get in contact with you? I have a couple questions if you get a minute to help
Do you sell the k swap kits ?
Nick you state in your description that you are using a Dynojet 224xlc which comes with an eddy brake, and that isnt correct. your dynojet is a 224x inertia, meaning yours doesn't have an eddy brake to apply more load to the engine.
Did i miss it? What's the weight difference between the two?
I assume 200lbs ? Then.. seats, battery and spare another 100?
Holy cow.
You ever consider Chevy LV3? 400HP NA...No firewall or engine cover mods.
LV3?? What's that out of?
Anyone else see the swastika in Porsche emblem on the spinning wheel emblem 🙂
Hey nick I emailed you about getting a tune but you didnt reply. Wheres your shop I'm located in brampton
Sorry if i missed your email - Please email me again or DM me on IG - nick@tuningbynick.com or @tuningbynick
Do a Cayman kit.
A boxster swap kit pretty much it's also a cayman swap, that's why he's using the boxster since it's cheaper to chop something without regard
take my money pls
What’s up! I would really appreciate it if you could help me out. Recently my k24 Rsx started stalling while at idle after being driven for a while. No check engine codes pop up and the car stalls like if I would turn the key off. After it stalls this is how is cranks ua-cam.com/video/axMWA42KTQo/v-deo.htmlsi=NLA9lOyhJPl7WAGv
It won’t start until it’s cooled off. The engine doesn’t overheat, runs great until It stalls and won’t start. I noticed the map reads around -25 to -20 even at 4k rpm in neutral. Is that normal or should I be driving it for the map values to change more? I also unplugged the map but it didn’t give me any codes. One similarity was that the car would crank very similar to the video I linked above. The only difference is that after reaching 600-750 rpm it idles down a bit and has a rough idle until it turns off
