Have you ever heard of La guardia.if u haven’t it’s basically an elite performing arts school in New York City .they have had movies filmed there not to mention there alumni is impressive.niki Minaj went there and like hella celebs .i got in to la guardia which is like winning the lottery.out of 28,000 kids that audition only 700 get in. It’s like the Brit school but on crack.😭

Hi I found dancing hard too. In the audition for key stage four, they are not looking for your current abilities but how quickly you pick up the moves. I hope this helps and ask me if you are interested in something else.
I go to brit for theatre and I've never had an acting lesson in my life. They don't want to accept somebody who's perfect because how are you going to learn anything if you're amazing at dance? You should definitely apply and have a go because even the experience of auditioning is amazing. Don't let your experience hold you back!!!

If you're able to show that you're constantly wanting to improve your abilities, why would they not accept you??! Also with BRIT, they're not really about your level of ability, but about your passion for the subject!

Develop a portfolio, show your skill set, there is an interview where they give you a score {they don't tell you your results} just show that you are passionate about the arts. And there is an art workshop. (didn't happen this year because of coronavirus) You also have a pre task to do - 6 to 10 sketches expanding on a theme of your choice.

I’m applying in September however I am based in Northern Ireland, but, if I get in I have family within the catchment that are happy to house me, am I in or outside or catchment?
If your post code is not in the catchment area there is a very slim chance of getting in, they only accept 7% applicants from outside the catchment zone. You have to be seriously something special for them to take you when you live that far out. You can check the catchment post code list on The Brit School website.
The BRIT school is not as it seems once you go through the audition process. They don't provide support for SEN whatsoever, and I got rejected - I recently recieved an appeal meeting and had to learn TWO NEW MONOLOGUES and have it up to STRONG STANDARD in 12 days.

Yes you have to have very good muscle memory for musical theatre as it is required that you dance.
