....... Smiles at the camera while he tries to figure out where the downbeat is.....and what key this bass player is in....
0:33 gives up..Snaps √ XD
0:48 piano comes in....sort of: √ ....drummer takes a guess for a few bars...exits quietly.
1:05 Goulet hears this....laughs at how badly this is going: √
1:16 Makes up new words (replacing the title of the song) with slight shrug: √
1:24 Goulet says: How about this key!? √
1:26-1:36 rhythm section, now sure of time and key, plays ever louder: √
1:52 Band has entered, affirming that written music is now being played, and that this song will end soon.
Goulet gives triumphant snap on downbeat: √
....I cried laughing so many times writing this out. Priceless....
Well written! Worse then an SNL skit. Too Loungee!
Thank you Mr. Goulet for doing us a freaking service. Much appreciated!
Gone too soon. Miss him.
It at least it was a peaceful passing. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
GOULET!
I never imagined Cmdr. Riker moonlighted as a lounge singer on the holodeck...!
😂
😁
He kind of does that talk singing like William Shatner. Wow this is terrible singing.
Swagger unmatched
My late uncle was a bel canto tenor who sang Puccini : Robert Goulet was the only crooner my uncle called great.
Why didn't Joshua Logan cast him as Sir Lancelot in the film Camelot?
Goulet gave an impeccable performance in the Broadway production of Camelot with Julie Andrews and Burton.
He lost the role of Don Quixote in the film Man of La Mancha: the part went to O'Toole who couldn't sing.
Still, we have Robert Goulet's albums and they belong to the ages.
Because he had the hots for Franco Zero.
I love him when I was a kid,,
Great actor and singer, one of my favorites, Camelot and Naked Gun 2 1/2
GOULET
Today Commemorates Robert Goulet's 85th Birthday
can you imagine how many perfectly good tv sets were shot with a 357 because of this guy
Natuuureeee Goulet
robert is groovy
THE BEST THERE EVER WAS!!! NO ONE CAN COMPARE WITH THE RICHNESS OF HIS VOICE AND TALENTS TO CHANGE AND STRETCH! MY PERSONAL FAVE!!! †REQUIESCAT IN PACE.
Goulet!
Wow....amazing
Kind of the best lounge act ever. 😁
Shatneriffic!
When Goulet appeared on TV Elvis Would shoot the TV set and could be heard yelling, “That jerk’s got no heart. That will be enough of that sh**!” 🤣
Not likely!
Elvis would've appreciated Goulet's great talent!
the guy was better than most super stars
THE 80S RULED
he really had to dig deep for that last note...and found 95%..of it...class act...Mr Goulet
he laughs at 1:07.....cause he forgot the words..
still...an attractive man and a very listenable voice
Understatements!!
The music was pretty brutal.
Damn would like to shoot my TV...
I see why Elvis shot the tv when he saw him
his eyes are crazy holy shit
No wounder the king Elvis presley shot the Tv....looool
Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg..
Now I know why elvis shot the tv
I was going to make the same comment. Lol
Amen, brother!
Will Ferrell brought me here! lol
Goulet!
He screwed up the words: "With unbearable sorrow".
Bobert Gulleeeeeet
That's Will Ferrell
Not RG’s best.
Robert Googay
Now I understand why Elvis shot the tv.
I wish he could voice Wheezy for all his lines.
Is this Robert Goulet, or William Shattner?
I think Goulet as a musician is trying something whereas those things that Shatner attempts are simply well-rehearsed fiascos. Willy doesn't have a clue.
His voice is nice but Elvis was right
Will Ferrell does a way better Robert Goulet than who ever this guy is
This is Robert Goulet....
@@phantomess1870 I think you missed the joke :)
@@comfortablesofa oopsy😂
@@phantomess1870 come on Gabrielle, get your effin head in the game!
Will Ferrell did it better
Sorry, but this is terrible. Generic, cringey lounge.
Elvis was right: all technique, no heart.
My way of saying it: all foam, no beer.
Am I the only one who thinks he's off key?
No he was not off key. He was fabulous.
I think a big ship somewhere is missing a cheesy singer, LOL.
I still think the Jim Nabors version is much better.
Jealous much ????
You like private Pyle?
Will ferrell sung it better
Cringey
i love goulet, but wow, he really botched "just the way you are". he's just making up the words.
Goulet!
