The coyote of the desert always likes to eat the heart of the young as the blood drops down to the children for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And only the ribs will be broken in two
I've never forgotten the saying at 0:32. "The coyote of the desert always likes to eat the heart of the young. And the blood runs down to the children for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And only the ribs will be broken in two."
@@SlvHappy I'm not sure how to explain things like sense of humor or the nuances of comedic delivery, but Fred Armisen was hilarious and genius in this scene as Tino.
BEST scene in the movie !! Absolutely hilarious - he gets into it, knocks over the mic stand, stomps on table tops, slides under the men's room stall -- TOO MUCH !!!
Playing under an occupied bathroom stall, "hey Aqualung!" too much ... hilarious. And Christina Applegate was perfectly cast for her role, truly talented and beautiful actor.
+Milewskige One of my favourite records, I listened to it hundreds of times, for years and years...and I never realized that! Of course there's no flute in Aqualung, but for some reason it never hit me. Your comment shocked me, really! Something so simple and I overlooked it bizarrely.
When i first saw the movie as a kid, i had no idea that that was Fred Armisen as Tino. I watched a lot of his work growing up and in the works i saw from Armisen, he's always bounces his voice around. The other works i saw from him were Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, The Smurfs, The Looney Tunes Show, The Smurfs 2 and The Lego Ninjago Movie and in all those works his voice is different. In Cats and Dogs, he collaborates with Christiana Applegate again. Though in that movie, Armisen is one of the human characters while Applegate voices a cat named Catherine. And they don't share any scenes in the movie.

For those who dont know Ron really did play the flute in this scene! Will has been playing for close to 40 years and its quite a accomplished musician.
"I'm not prepared" as he pulls the flute out of his sleeve lol
LilRondo101 "I'm really not prepared at all"
If he was prepared, he would pull out a saxophone ... not sure, out of where.
My favorite line in the whole movie.
A 2 foot flute, where did he hide that?
+piplup2009
It breaks into two pieces, and he had one in each sleeve.
I love the “I’m not prepared” line and then he pulls the flute out
I almost fainted laughing when he said I'm not prepared but pulling the flute from his sleeve.
🤣 Gets me every flippin’ time!
After I saw the flute, come from nowhere, I had to ⏪ and missed it like twice.
Yep, that’s the joke! You totally got it. Thanks for pointing it out.
Pure pimp move.
My 7th grade girlfriend broke up with me because I couldn’t stop laughing in the theater. So worth it.
She was not worthy of you!!
Hahahah
You guys have girlfriends?
Same!
this is true, i was his 7th grade girlfriend
The coyote of the desert always likes to eat the heart of the young as the blood drops down to the children for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And only the ribs will be broken in two
This is brutally hilarious
Thank you , that was the scene for me .
Lmfao the blood drips down
It's a saying
where do I know this Dino from? He looks so familiar.
I've never forgotten the saying at 0:32. "The coyote of the desert always likes to eat the heart of the young. And the blood runs down to the children for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And only the ribs will be broken in two."
That is my absolute favorite part of that movie 🤣🤣
Please explain why this is funny
@@SlvHappy I'm not sure how to explain things like sense of humor or the nuances of comedic delivery, but Fred Armisen was hilarious and genius in this scene as Tino.
U funny for knowing this
I came here for this very saying for my son today. I was having a back in Sicily type moment. 😂
"let's take that baseline for a walk"
MaghoxFr *bassline
Referencing a walking bassline, common in jazz
Leading the next note with a half step above or below
LETS KEEP THE CYMBALS SPLASHY
lol
BEST scene in the movie !! Absolutely hilarious - he gets into it, knocks over the mic stand, stomps on table tops, slides under the men's room stall -- TOO MUCH !!!
burlingtonbill1 and when he clicks the dog over the bridge
He even plays aqualung
he was literally on fire!
Christina Applegate looks drop dead gorgeous on this scene
Jazz Flute. The most under appreciated performers in the music industry. It’s almost like they don’t exist
The jazz band director at my high school was a professional jazz flutist. He could really play!
"A little ham and eggs comin' at ya, hold on people, hope you've got your griddles" 😂😂😂
Shit killed me when I watched this as an adult because I didn’t understand what jazz was when this came out
Uuuh
@@Miles-lq7vc BABY-makin' music !!!
Invite ron burgundy to the bbq
There's no better way to enforce your masculinity than to utterly crush wine glasses with your manly stride
To be fair Will Ferrell is such a big man and the stage is kind of tiny, everything is tiny.
LOL !!!!!!!!!!!
"Manly stride" 😂😂😂
big man or not dont stand on my table@@777jones
this is so powerful I'm holding back tears

Nevermind I cried
That's baby-makin music, that's what that is 😎

"Oh I'm not prepared" as he pulls the flute out his sleeve like a magician. 😆😂😂

Incorrect. He pulled the flute like a musician.
Pulled that flute out of no where like a cartoon character 😂
Fred Armisen's monologue in this scene is one of the greatest comedic performances of all time

Wrong word. Christina Applegate is Act-Tress. Actess, not an "actor". Sure, calling Kathy Bates an actor is allowed, by not this hot chick.
Anyone else here from Lizzo lol
Mee
Me
Yes. I had completely forgotten about this scene from Anchorman.

oauseer me
It's interesting to note that Aqualung is one of the few Jethro Tull songs that Ian Anderson does NOT actually play flute on!!
+Milewskige One of the best Tull songs by Ian.
+Milewskige One of my favourite records, I listened to it hundreds of times, for years and years...and I never realized that! Of course there's no flute in Aqualung, but for some reason it never hit me.

Hilarious! Milewskige I never realized that, even though I remember the song when it was brand new. Thanks for the info! Made my day!
It's so great to hear Jethro Tull in a movie as big as this
I came for the aqualung part

Christina Applegate not being able to stop laughing they must have done so many takes for this 🤣
Love the Jethro Tull reference

Amen, bro ! Love the "yazz flute!"
Hands down my fave Will Ferrell scene ever!
I've never seen Anchorman, but Lizzo parodying this scene and seeing both makes me wanna watch now HAHA so good!
You fucking need to if you haven’t yet
I just realized this (after watching a bunch of Portlandia) that Tino is Fred Armissen! I'm so happy and relieved to discover such a fact.
Thank God - Now we can all breathe a little easier.
I love this movie sooo much 🔥🙌🏾
He kept it classy and lit a martini on fire.
2:24 the audible "do do do do de do do!" in this bit kills me 😂
EHHHHH AQUALUNG
HEY AQUALUNG
Ron has it all, he’s just perfect 😂
It takes a real ballsy and confident actor to pull this off like WF did.
I love the glass stepping

For those who dont know Ron really did play the flute in this scene! Will has been playing for close to 40 years and its quite a accomplished musician.
Hahaha I play the flute.
He also playa the drums, and he's damn good!
The actual audio is by Katisse Buckingham, a fantastic filter player
LOL I'd like to see him try! Katisse Buckingham is the one actually playing here.
Saving this piece of art in my 'Music' playlist
Fred Armisan had to have ad libbed those lines 😂😂
Keep the cymbals "splashy".... my fav line. ;)
Rick Astley spoke of this scene in an interview that it is the best music scene in cinema
The only movie I ever snuck into, and I am damn glad I did.
I die when he goes underneath the washroom stall
Forgot how good this movie as.
Pure slapstick all the way through.
Best Entertainer of All Time,,, Ron Burgundy

Light it up, Ronnie!
2:42 - Hey Aqualung, Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull would be proud of that!
Any flute players here just criticizing how badly he’s pretending???
No hate I just wanted to point that out :)
You can hear him going doodly toot doot toot into the flute lol
"i'll slide in with the metal on the low, Ron Burgundy with the flute.."
Kyd Slade
The part with the glass of wine made me fall off my chair hahaha
definitely!
Some hold music I'm currently listening to reminded me of this scene.
*"This is a surprise I'll tell ya.....guys, East Harlem shake down, E Flat, keep the symbols splashy and Jay let's take the bassline for a walk."* 😂
cymbals splashy
It’s not even in Eb lol
Yazz flute!
"Little Ham 'n Eggs comin' at ya, hold on people hope ya got your griddles..
"it's ok we got it now!" I'm racking my brain to understand the thumbs downs.
This is a sick man!
Christina Applegate 🥰
I laughed at the Aqualung part. I love laugh.
That's baby makin music, that's what that is....
"Mr Burgundy, we will be honored if you play Yazz Flute for us." ☺️ 😍
articulation on fleek
If you watch this movie when you're high, it'll be way better than the original.
HEY AQUALUNG!
Never underestimate THE TWO TIME.
one of the great moments of movie history imho.. what a subversion!
