Had a 2005 LS model & 111,000 miles on it in Excellent condition and of course in Atlanta, nobody likes to see you riding in something paid for and looking good so some clown ran the light and totaled it🤬. Found another 2005 LS model with 124,000 up in Canton,Ga that an senior fellow had that was mostly garage kept and looks better than my first one! The headlights are clear to my surprise and the body lines are straight! One owner with no accidents which is rare. I put the 265/70 R16 (I think that's right) but they're the biggest you can put on being stock height and rim. Rides smooth. Love that Vortec 6cyl that has good power and reliability and pretty easy to work on. The good thing is I had new parts from the 1st one that I didn't have to get rid of and that's a huge plus. Also I was able to get all of my Husky floor liners and Led bulbs from the 1st one which saved a buncha money! Love these Trailblazers and I'm doing my best to keep some other numb nuts driver from wrecking this one. It's a shame you've gotta keep full coverage insurance on a 2005 vehicle but here in Atlanta, you'd better! Sorry to be long winded and love your videos. Keep up the good work 💯👍🏿
Ins paid mine off…it’s an 05 LS…but rebuilt it and now that it’s rebuilt, I can’t put full coverage back on it in case of another accident which is stupid…if I sold it the new owner would have to put full coverage on it for the loan…so why can’t I after rebuilding the stupid thing…I love that it’s been paid off for 3 years and costs me a total of $400/year to own…but there’s still that insecurity in the case of an accident…if it’s the other drivers fault then I get it but if it’s a no fault or deer …there’s no coverage to help get it fixed or a down payment on a different vehicle..
I’ve had my 03 Trailblazer since high school original motor was shot but did a engine and tranny swap with a envoy in a week (plug and play) and hasn’t failed me since 5 years strong Body : 340,000 miles Engine :150,000 miles Just did a oil change I’m sitting at 226k now PLAN ON PUTTING A TURBO !! It’s a fun truck and I’m glad it’s my first
Onto my third Trailblazer I’ve owned. I had a 2008 LS years ago, then a 2005 LT3, and now a 2008 LT1. As you can tell, I always kept missing my Trailblazer, even after being in a 2018 Silverado that did treat me well before selling. These things are so reliable with good maintenance, I love them! My 2008 LT can tow my small 16 foot pull-behind camper without an issue! It’s currently approaching 210k miles, and has been great. I picked it up in May 2023 with 205k. I have just replaced the two front wheel bearings, and it nearly drives likes new other than needing an alignment and new tires. Replacing the rear sway bar links soon. Had an accident that totaled a 2014 Ford Fusion, but I only needed a few front end parts for the TB to be in working order again! What a trooper these are! The mechanic replaced the driver side wheel bearing, lower control arm, and strut from the damage that the accident caused. Where the bumper mounts, he still has to fix yet, but waiting for that appointment currently. I replaced the passenger-front wheel bearing myself, do the oil changes myself with Mobil 1 Synthetic and Purolator Boss filters, and am replacing the rear sway bar links currently. Soon I’m hoping to get new shocks around the whole truck also. Possibly a level kit or 3-inch lift also, and will be getting the biggest AT tires that’ll fit on the stock 17-inch rims also. Looking for it to have a more aggressive stance so it’s even more truck-like! I feel like these sit too low for what they are.
Just picked one up for 3200$ 129k miles and so far no issues. I’m the second owner and it shows the vehicle is in great condition for 2004. Other than needing an oil change and wash its great so far definitely a deal
Love these engines! First 06 I had I got 489,567 miles outta it. 2nd one I currently just got 156,860 miles on it. Same issues but overall great truck. I haul and tow to the max + with it.blower resistor huge common problem. Also rear control arms aka trailing arm rust out.
I still have my 2004 TB LT kept going since I bought it brand new in 2005 with about 266k miles. It is an awesome inline 6 SUV that runs very smooth and quiet engine, no doubt about it.
I have a 2008 Lt.I like it pretty well.I've changed headlights and also the fog lights. You're absolutely right about those front brakes.I change them every two years.
I got a 05 Trailblazer EXT LS and pretty much fully loaded has 298,600 miles and runs like new and shifts really nice and floats down the road and runs great 98% of the time but it’s been a good car
Still have my 2002 Bravada bought new, 186,000. Every option but sun roof. One problem haven’t been able to resolve is the oil pressure gauge drops to Zero after driving for 15 minutes, the gauge is run by the computer ( not actual oil pressure ) and yes I did replace the sending unit ( no difference ). I added a mechanical oil pressure gauge, taped into the oil filter housing and have between 35 to 55 psi oil pressure. Someone told me to get the computer looked at, $$ I really like this SUV! Guess that’s obvious, had it for 22 years! And no they don’t make them like this anymore, only wish it was an SS TRAIL BLAZER…
@jOlds792 My will do the same now and then mainly when I start it. That when I notice it. But if I shut it off and start it back up, it works ok. Weird.
They’re pretty quick considering they have the tow package which in the old style engines and drive train set up only had that pulling torque leaving u with no off the line speed to get into traffic…these new style engines have both…towing power and speed…they come with around 290 horse power at the wheels…idk how much at the engine before it hits the back wheels but she can get up and run with the rest pretty quickly and she can tow up to 6000 lbs easily…the engine design has the overhead cams with the vvt which is what gives u both benefits..the speed and torque…so 290 hp at the back wheels is pretty impressive from an inline 6 cylinder IMO
I've got a 2006 Chevy trailblazer LS, but right now it's leaking oil every where and I can't find exactly where it's leaking in order to get it to stop
I've never had one. Just curiously watching this. I like truck-like-ness of this compared to the newest Blazers that really seem to resemble a crossover. This 06 seems more practical.
Did GM do away with the brace rod from the radiator to the right fender on the '06s? My '04 has one on each side, but the wife's '06 only had one on the left. I grabbed one from the local automotive recycling facility and put one on hers. I see your '06 doesn't have one either.
If you compare the 95 to 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the 4.0 versus the 06 Chevy trailblazer they are similar at least as far as I see you they look similar on the interior they both are four-wheel drive they both had the inline six they're both about the same size what's your opinion
How much did you pay for it? I’m asking cuz I just bought an 07 LS with 74000 miles on it for 8100 I’ve put about three grand in work on trim and rims and tires on it but other then that is runs smooth as butter
I own a 2002 Trailblazer LTZ with 192k miles. Best SUV Ever.

Just bought a 2002 with 100k miles for $2900 in Texas. Super clean! Drives as smooth as my 2019 Acura. Good luck!

Yeah I agree also. Front ball joints upper and lower also wheel bearings are a common issues
Nice. I have a GMC Envoy also. They ride sooo good.

I had a 2004 but like you living in NE takes it toll on the chassis. Now I have a 2008 LT it seems have more power than the 04.It's definitely a keeper
Right!! Nice ride!
I found a chassis repair kit for a Colorado (same chassis as TB) out of Iowa - laser weld engineer - so fixed the 2004 frame!! Almost at 290K now.
I sold the 2004 to a young lady and drives by my house almost everyday

@@FixingWithPassion That missing part of your rear hatch is actually supposed to be a handle to put you hand in and close it
