Puzzled by the weak brake reference - I have a 2006, and they were universally reviewed when new as having stout brakes (using a very dusty Z51 compound pad from the 'Vette) and they were easily made even more stout with simple line swaps, etc. - perhaps the brakes on this used model were tired, or perhaps not replaced with proper TBSS rotors and pads?
Yes!! Been waiting for you to review one of these. I’ve had mine for two years and love it everyday. Mine is far from stock though. Bolt-Ons, tune, and a built transmission and 3200 or higher stall converter really wakes these trucks up.
Just bought a 2006 tbbss was looking to upgrade the transmission have no clue where to start
@@damienmckenzie5221 transmission cooler is the very first mod you should do. High temps are what prematurely kill the transmissions in these trucks. PCM of NC makes a good trans cooler kit or get a Tru cool 40k. The latter requires some modifications to fit, but it’s large enough for you to bypass the small factory cooler in the radiator.

i have an 06 tbss 2wd. understand that that interior has held up very well for being an 06. mine is a mild 402 ci v8 with supporting mods with a 2800 stall surprisingly the trans is holding. a better trans cooler helps and TUNING. only thing that doesnt really work on mine is the sunroof....which doesn't bother me lol
Hey, man. I have a question. What exactly is a stall and what does it do? I’ve seen and heard about it but don’t know exactly what it is lol. I thought that it had something to do with helping the transmission since I heard the transmission were weak points with these.
@@roderrickgaston5939Late reply you already probably know by now but a stall converter is a torque converter that’s set up to basically, convert to torque later down the rpm curve. With your foot on the brake, while holding gas down, a 2800 stall converter will break the tires loose at around 2800rpm. Same with a 3600 stall breaking the tires loose at 3600rpm. It’s kinda like an automatic version of launch control where you are able to brake boost to a higher rpm.

I would say that your assumption of everything craing is generally wrong, the only thing that cracks is the center console live in the front. These plastic interiors hold up very well

I think that is a 2007 or newer. All of 2006 TBSS have all leather rear seats no suede.
Randall Bombich could’ve been swapped into it. I did that with my 06

when i was 5 we had a silver trailblazer ss as a rental , i wish we kept it because of how good the lights and color complimented the whole thing . this and the ML55 AMG were the cleanest and one of a kind SUVs that had so much soul and always captivates my 2000s childhood
LS2 6.0 same engine from the corvette c6 ‘05 - ‘07 year models , and the pontiac gto ; as well chevy ssr roadster; they all had the LS2 6.0
Loved the review! Am looking at buying one of these (In Black- it indeed looks "menacing") and have been checking out videos. The ONE thing/word used in all videos? "Plastic-ey" Then again, not buying it for the interior....

Wrong. The Ac Screen and the Nav screen are both factory, the LTZ trims of the TB and the SS got those.

So CHEVROLET has a LS2 and a LS4 wow 😮 Wish they made more of the CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER SS of that Gen but as an AWD instead of RWD Why do they make vehicles/pickup trucks in a RWD?

Isn’t a stock TBSS only running a low 15 sec quarter? If so...why do people over exaggerate the power of it, most modern cars nowadays could still give this car a run for its money eassssy. Btw, I don’t own an SS, but have been in the market for one in near future, was debating between a SS or Jeep SRT8

Edit: I swing my I6 trailblazer ext (bone stock) like it's a ss🤣 i race it and everything lol. just bc it's a 6 doesnt mean u cant slide around in it/ burn out lol v6s are fun u just gotta know how to have fun in them the only aftermarket thing on my TB is a flowmaster super 10 and a down pipe no cats or nun. Nothing special but it gets the job done and puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it.
