Just to share something positive: I haven't been to a show in ages, but I saw Mastodon, Dethklok, and a couple other metal bands one time where I got into the pit. It was an indoor venue, and I got knocked off my feet. It happened just like that! Before my head could hit the concrete floor, several strangers grabbed me and *hoisted* me back onto my feet! It was amazing, the on-the-spot comraderie.
Usually thats how it goes. We in the pit push and hit a bunch but as soon as someone falls its rule to help that person back up. As for crushes, I tend to notice smaller individuals and push against the crush so they have room for breathing air.
@@veenoir1991 It was surreal. I never touched the ground at all, so it was like falling on a magnet of polar opposite charge. The only other fall I can compare it to is when I slipped on ice and flipped onto my back, 180 prone on the street. Luckily, my hood cushioned the blow that time.

It annoys me that he said he didn't know anyone was hurt. Yet you can see videos of him watching unconscious people being lifted out by police. That and the fact he tweeted for people to jump fences to get in.
Travis Scott encourages his fans to get out of control on purpose and then makes a pissy little video fake crying tears afterwords for damage control. He was not crying for those hurt and killed, no I think that he was crying crocodile tears as he realised no legitimate venue is ever going to book him again and cover his insurance now. Seriously look at how much damage Astroworlds is on the hook for potentially. Travis Scott's live touring days are probably over and he only has his cowardly inaction and lack of human empathy to blame. He deserves all the consequences coming his way
Do NOT forget him and Drake went to Dave and Buster’s afterwards for the ‘after party’, apparently oblivious to what has happened. Despite the show stopping on numerous accounts, witnessing an ambulance in the crowd, seeing people getting crushed and not taking responsibility to ensure they are SAFE. What a piece of actual shit.

No lie, I literally brought up GWAR and metal concerts in general the other day. Things can get rough during a metal show but we pick each other back up. We might knock you back down but you will be picked back up and if you don’t respect those rules someone bigger than you will do something about it.
Isn't it funny. The entire metal scene probably looks and sounds terrifying to normies.....but every single person I've seen get knocked down in the pit, was also helped back up. And that's over the past 18ish years I've been going to metal shows. It really is a respectable bunch, aside from a few bad apples...and security is good at spotting and ejecting those bad ones.
Travis is 100% responsible I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t been charged. It’s not like this doesn’t happen at other shows but when he encourages behavior that ends in the deaths of that many people he’s responsible for those deaths.
Ppl make mistakes its apart of life I feel everyones too quick to blame him tbh. Everyone stage dives and every1 does mosh pits. He cant exactly see people while they're on the floor.
@@zqwaw4952 You can tell from what he's saying during the performance that he can see enough. He just doesn't give a fuck & likes that people go psycho on his concerts. this was 50,000 people. A typical gwar show has a few hundred to a couple thousand depending on venue size. Also the concert quite famously was paused for a couple of minutes.
When watching The Prodigy (and I’ve seen hundreds of bands) there was a huge crowd surge and my friend was on my shoulders. We both fell and genuinely, I thought I was going to die. I couldn’t breathe, the crowd was surging backwards, forwards, sideways…it was horrible. I grabbed hold of someone and they put me in a headlock to lift me up - it was the only time I had to escape the crowd after that. And no disrespect to Prodigy, especially Keith Flint but absolutely nothing was done. People were crushed to fuck. When I saw Deftones, Mastodon, Dillinger Escape Plan - they stopped the show to make sure everyone is okay. Seems like metal bands tend to care more about their fans than the likes of Travis Scott. If you apologize, it's admitting guilt. It's an insurance thing, it's a legal thing, it's business thing, bottom line a money thing. You can ask the customer if they would like to request an ambulance, but never do it on your own. If you apologize for them slipping on your wetass floor you are admitting guilt that you made the situation dangerous and that will be the first thing brought up in court.
