I am glad that you posted this. I normally use the multipack extractor and rename the files to install worlds. But that can sometimes be time consuming. I am going to try this.
I noticed if you take your mods folder out of the launcher it does help with the speed of installing, and I know some people have the same issue I do that if they have their mods I noticed if you take your mods folder out of the launcher it does help with the speed of installing, and I know some people have the same issue I do that the launcher itself sometimes gives these weird error messages, the DC cache file if you take it out temporarily before you attempt to load the launcher it loads correctly then you put the cache file back in then you can install your downloads and or play the game. It's a workaround but it works sometimes you have to do it once or twice before it actually works right but it has never given me any issues.
Hey, followed your tutorial exactly. But I noticed an issue: the worlds I installed this method seem to lose all names/descriptions of lots/sims/households? And instead I see the name displayed as a long directory address to... wherever that name or description is stored, I guess. It's very strange! Is this expected behavior, does anyone know? And if so, any workarounds?
That issue usually happens with store worlds due to the way EA handles their data files. If it’s a regular custom world and you’re seeing those directory addresses, it’s more likely that the world file itself is corrupted or wasn’t installed properly. All the worlds I’ve covered on my channel have been installed using this exact method, and you can see in multiple videos that the names and descriptions are displaying as they should, without any issues. If you’re having this problem, I’d suggest checking the integrity of the world file or trying another download source.
@@mookymilkplays ah they were definitely all store worlds :P The fan-made custom worlds were okay. Have you had issues installing store worlds the old Sims3Pack way? Bit unrelated, but I wanted to point you toward a program called “Bulk Rename Utility” for bulk mod renaming - it’s been so helpful to get rid of numbers and dashes in a couple clicks. I think you might like it!
@@a.k.1634 I already know of the bulk rename tool thank you for suggesting, but since I need to see what all cc I want to get rid of anyway I don't mind individually renaming them, I have a pretty fast system for it. Also it again depends on where you download the world. I think blam's EA store already offers worlds in a world pack file to drop in your installation folder, but I'm sure other decrappers have this as well, you just have to look.

I cannot but ik the sims 3 reddit sub would be much better help for you! they have links and an easy to follow along tutorial! I paid for my game so I cannot do it!
@@iremwias_.pirating is illegal. If you do it make sure you use a vpn and play offline but as far as sims 3 I don’t think you can get a pirate version. You have to pay for it. Steam has a sale rn for all the packs for 179. Plus tax it’s 192 for all packs.
