Yeah, Bring to Light notably finds Valki as a card. Then it says that you may cast that card for free. MDFC rules say that casting an MDFC for free means that you can pick either side available to you. Bring to Light only cares that it was the physical card you tutored, and Tibalt passes that single check.
@@calebjohn9810 yeah, and that's exactly how cascade used to work. But because of valki, they changed it so it now also checks the free cast spell's cost.
19:01 The opponent couldn't cast Dovin's Veto to counter your Farewell...they needed UW and the only untapped mana were Ziatora's Proving Ground (B, R, G) and the Cornucopia...
I’m sure there must be a reason and I’m just curious: anyone knows why the text for the second ability of Chain Veil is written like that? Why not simply something like “planeswalkers you control can activate the same ability twice”
18:41 They changed the rules for Cascade as a mechanic to stop cheating out Tibalt, but they didn't change how Bring to Light worked.

possibly the rules change that has generated the absolute most confusion in the past 10 years

Just saw you on Commander at Home. Sad you didn't get to spread more pain 😂😢
idk, Crim sounded like he was in pain basically every turn- I call that a win!
My glorious king crimothy is back at it again in control 🙏🙏
We’re just Krispy Kreme employees at this point (I love you crim)
Whenever Crim says he has lands in his deck, you know he's lying.
I remember opening the Chain Veil and using it in a deck I made with a single copy each of 2 plainswalkers and thinking the card wasn't great 😂
Thumbnail looking like Crim just gave Wanderer a new bra and is bragging about his hot chick lmao
3:35 LMFAO They fizzled their own bonecrusher which is why they didn't play it there
yup, if they went face instead it would have been better
I love everything about this video
That one dude was playing modern money pile in pioneer
I'm a simple man.
I see Explorer, I press like.
Pioneer*
@Crusina 99.95% of competitive Pioneer*
I will be very disappointed if there’s no ichormoon gauntlet in the deck
I wish he had milled out the second to last opponent. He was so close. But maybe that would have been considered a BM since he had lethal.
why concede at 19:00 he couldn't cast the dovin's veto with Ziatora's Proving Ground (Jund colors)
That thumbnail is CRIM-inal

Isn't Oath of Teferi just much better than The Chain Veil?
true, but also its a fires of invention deck, so technically chain veil is slightly cheaper when u have fires on the battlefield
Oh gods...Time to stay mad and touch grass. Disgusting 😂
