LOL thank you man. Honestly it still has some issues in the quality I need to iron out to look more professional. I super appreciate the comment! Peace and love man!
I myself use an older graphics card in my current PC with "CRTEmudriver" and a standard CRT. I take the VGA out from the older card and adapt it into component to use on my CRT and it looks fantastic.
@@thesogo64 Yeah. I use SCART with some stuff but I adapt it to component for use with my American CRT. It was overall pretty simple to set up CRTEmudriver, lmk if you need any help with that! Love your stuff :)
@@jobibones thanks man I appreciate it a lot. Also, I totally will ask you for advice on setting it up if needed! Need to research it a bit right now LOL!
I use a RadioShack brand HDMI to composite converter. I own other brands too (Gana, Mini, Walmart's "Onn") but I think this one works the best and has no noticable lag. It looks a little bit different from the other ones as well, it has plug ends built into it, and it does not have a port for power. I don't know how expensive they are online, I bought it at a thrift store that had tons of unsold RadioShack merchandise.
3:10 I tested it with several music games and it doesn't lag surprisingly. No lag gets introduced since the adapter simply downscales the image without any extra processing.
LOL thank you man I really appreciate that. It actually means a lot! Hopefully I'll end up being able to produce pro level content for you guys 😲 Have a good one man
I picked up some new equipment and I am trying to put out higher quality videos for you! A couple mistakes I made here was not locking the focus on the camera, and I also did not lock the ISO. So there is a bit of change in the focus and light in the video, but otherwise I thought this video turned out fine. Probably going to do a similar light analysis on CRT on CSGO and also pick up a 1000 FPS camera to revisit this topic down the line Edit: Oh and FYI I am not that good at Melee, I just enjoy it so don't expect any crazy clips 😆
Thanks man! This can apply to emulating and still wanting that CRT feel. So you could emulate any console and just plug it into a CRT monitor and it should look pretty awesome.
Whoa, got this on my recommended, didn't realize it was only like 30 minutes old. This shit better hit several thousand.

Woah that's such an awesome idea. Would look great on a PVM/BVM I bet too!
BTW I am going to look into CRTEmudriver, looks neat.
I actually saw another guy that had a GPU that had s-video on slippi, which in my opinion is pretty close to an RGB signal.

I felt like there was significant lag tbh
new camera is siiick. it’s pretty crazy being able to see the growth both in subs n comments but in like experience too

Your color grading has gotten better, can't wait for what's next.
I'm actually just using a cinetone, but because of your comment here I'll attempt l
Slog 3! Hope you are doing well man.

you can try using a retro tink 5x to turn digital 720p to 480i for a crt that supports component cables.
Good idea, I've only got a 2x as is
Nice! Thanks for the informative video!

@@thesogo64 I don't have any CRTs, but if I had one and a decent PC with VGA compatibility, I'd give it a try!
@@FoxBlocksHere LOL totally man, I don't blame you they are pretty outdated tech. I just have a soft spot for them due to nostalgia.
I just got a tutung crt monitor and it’s so great to play slippi on
You forgot to plug the red one in
BRO Wut DA HECK. VIDEO RUINED.
All you need is a 2 female to 1 male RCA Y-adapter and both audio channels become a combined, true monaural audio channel. Nothing gets missed out.
Was looking at this yesterday lmao, i should check out using an older monitor, i bet it looks amazing irl
Totally does my friend! It's worth it also because you can play other emulated a
Games too!
if you play ssbm you know
