THESE ARE GREAT STORIES...shows where the guys at EC Comics got their ideas ( besides Ray Bradbury...) they used to listen to these radio broadcasts.

The young woman heard at about 7:23 was Mercedes McCambridge, who was making a career in radio before going into films. She received Best Actress award in 1949 for "All the King's Men."

There’s nothing like a good, eerie story! You might be interested in this NEW radio drama, “The Odd Lot” and two other stories listed under “Claude Chabot Presents” right here on YT. Just follow the link here and enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/tjMKxhE-elw/v-deo.html--Claud.

Better than most of it for sure! I’m into mostly old horror movies (low budget goodies welcome) or dark humor. I would recommend Joe Bob Briggs The Last Drive Inn show on Shudder. He hosts some good ones (example: The Changling 1980, Re-animator 1985, Sleepaway Camp 1983) & tons of other good stuff as well as some not so great low budget cheese.

The radio prictured looks to be a early Forties Philco console model. This model was able to bring in overseas broadcasts, police calls, and airline transmissions.

This is not the commercial recording as the Bromo Seltzer commercial has been removed. Armed Forces Network edited out the commercials and re-recorded the programs to be played to servicemen around the world. This was during the late Forties, during the Cold War period.

the Bromo Seltzer add used to scare me as a kid more than the program

The storyline is similar to "The Most Dangerous Game" where a man is trapped on a island jungle, being hunted by a madman sportsman for twelve hours,

This is a good episode. The murderer can't stand how he was trapped in fate.
