Acadia National Park has endless things to do, but catching a sunrise atop Cadillac Mountain is a special experience. Towering 1,530 feet tall, Cadillac Mountain is the highest point on the eastern seaboard of the U.S. And the views of Acadia National Park from the summit are breathtaking.

Thank you. Yes, we were lucky to be there before the crowds. We don't mention it in the video, but there is also a shuttle you can take from downtown Bar Harbor to the summit which does not require a pass. Link is in the video description. I think they require passes during the busy season to reduce vehicle traffic. It is also well worth doing the hike to the summit! Have a great trip and reach out if you have any questions.

There is a really cool hike you can do only at low tide which takes you to an island! We are making it our go to vacation spot each year after we settle!

Congrats. Very well done and informative video of Acadia National Park. We used to visit there in the 1970's and are surprised to learn you now need a reservation to drive up Cadillac Mountain. Ahh, progress. Just a friendly tip. Mount Desert is actually pronounced dessert locally. Thanks again.
Thank you Patrick. Not sure but I think the new rules re the reservations are pretty recent to help reduce traffic/parking issues at the summit. Oh, and thank you for the tip :) - We are from a mix of Texas / Maryland and England so we need to work on our pronunciations! 😀

Bring a discreet way to pee. Im not kidding. The port-a pots were closed off and even if they were- tons of people. The visitors center is flights of stairs and a fight in the parking lot to just get a chance to pee. Wear a diaper. Seriously. Much love all and visit this amazing place.
