Try this sampling workflow on a single iOS device: - use screen recording to capture content in realtime from UA-cam (the resulting video file will be saved to thePhotos app). - go to the video file in the Photos app and hit the export icon to open the file in the Audioshare app. In Audioshare, you can convert the screen recording to an audio format of choice, trim, normalise, add fx - whatever - all without having to use another iOS device and an interface.
I just bought the iRig HD 2 and its Still not working for me.. I pressed the monitor tab and whether highlighted or Not highlighted I can’t hear anything. Input levels are there but no sound. Not sure if its because I updated my 2018 ipad to IOS 13.3.1
Hello. Nice techniques! 1. Why you can't hear audio when sampling? 2. I'm about to buy I pad mini for beatmaking while traveling. Or do I need Ipad pro?
Hey, cheers man! So there was an issue in an older version of the app but it has been fixed now. And you def don't need the pro. It will affect how many plugins you can have up and running at the one time but the iPads are all quite powerful so I wouldn't worry about it
What's good. Great video. Dunno if you updated already but sample monitoring was a big deal for us in the beta and is now fixed. If you have any issues feel free to pop in the forum.
Nice, man! I gotta check this out... You're cranking them out these days! interesting that Roland just put out a beatmaking app today (sort of, a rebranded one anyhow)
just use slicing mode for chopping up your samples. in this case u will tune all slices with one touch. I required you can save slices individually on each pat u you did manually.
@@phnxmusicofficial ok. So I'm using an iPad Pro, an iPhone 7, and the iRig HD2 from IK Multimedia (you can find this on the apple store). Along with this I am using the cable that comes with the iRig (to connect it to the iPad), a 1/8 inch Male to Male Audio Cable, a 1/8 inch female to 1/4 inch male headphone jack, and because I'm using the the iPhone 7 I also use the Lightning to headphone jack adapter. But I would suggest getting the iRig Stream instead as it has a stereo input. Then you would replace the a 1/8 inch Male to Male Audio Cable with a 1/8 inch Male to RCA cable and you wouldn't need the 1/8 inch female to 1/4 inch male headphone jack.
You’ve shown me another approach to sampling using my iPad mini or my iPhone. You could have auto sample to the pads instead of copying the entire sample to each pad and manually sampling. Oh, you can also use kit-maker (www.kit-maker.com) to convert your iMaschine or Maschine kits into Beatmaker kits. Man thanks a lot for the tip.
That's awesome! Yeah I'll have to have a better look at the auto slice function. Coming from Maschine I'm just used to the copy/paste method. Just had a look at that software, looks promising. I'll have to think about it. Cheers!
Hey thank you for the video is very helpful especially since I’m starting off on the maker three but I have a question for sure set up I see you using your iPhone that I rig not if your iPhone you have the adapter with the 1/8 inch connection but then the I rig HD2 has a quarter inch plug it in on your platform I see a black cord so is that a splitter before I spend any more money it’s a good concept and that basically have the same set up as you but I can’t really see the connection underneath so can you help me out
Yeah I have the iPhone running into the iRig HD2. The splitter is coming out of the headphone output of the iRig, this is just so I can have my headphones and audio recorder both plugged in. This is just for making the video and you don't have to worry about that. One thing I would recommend is to look at the iRig Stream. It has a stereo input whereas the iRig HD2 only has a mono input. Hope that helps
Hey thanks for getting back with me so fast I still have a couple questions though you said I should invest in I rig stream and HD2 so I have both ID rings at eight porn hub I have a scarlet 2i2 so I hear the sounds coming out of here iPad but when I plug the sound card and it cuts off and nothing by the way I watch the video numerous times and he said come on a sample and you go to the window and you select whatever I don’t see that could you help me out please thanks
@@swang2records Ok so when you use an external sound card it takes over as your input and output. To hear your audio you will need to use headphones or speakers attached to the Scarlet
It's just a mono connection. One of the downfalls of the iRig HD2. If you need a stereo connection you can look at the iRig Stream. Or if you just want to sample from UA-cam I'm gonna do a video about that soon so stay tuned
I’ve only made the one drum pack. You can find the link to it in the description of this ua-cam.com/video/zs1qKtVz6Uo/v-deo.html And yeah it’s the iRig HD2. But if you’re thinking of getting one I would recommend looking at the iRig Stream
I got mine from shop.portablist.com/ and jessedeancustoms.com/shop/ But some other good places are www.stokyoworld.com/ , scratchbreak.com/ and www.turntabletrainingwax.com/ depending where you live. Those are some good places to start, or just google 7 inch battle records and you'll find heaps

@@TheKitComplete Yeah I meant the mono from your iRig. I got the zoom U-24. It's great because of 2x In and 4x Out, works with iOS and is even battery powered if required. I must say it's the best I found on the market for Sampling and DJ with iPads.

UA-cam best sample recourse on this planet. Dope beat 👍🏽
It is pretty good 😄
You can listen while recording if you add another audio channel, set the input to the irig and turn monitoring on
I'll have to give that a try. Cheers!
I thought they fixed that?
Yeah they fixed it with an update but this video came out before that

what’s the quality like from sampling off youtube compared to cd/wav?

Have a look at the espi1200 app that's available next month man.

you can export your drums from imachine
I'm not too familiar with the iMaschine app so I don't actually know. Sorry
did you just tap the tempo of the sample to set the project tempo/click? that part always frustrates me.
