  • This is a guide for getting a 50 Win Streak in the Battle Maison ORAS. Getting through the ORAS Battle Maison can be very difficult because of the way that the Battle Maison adapts to your team and uses a lot of status and luck based "Hax" to make it a struggle. The key to winning is having good type coverage and very fast pokemon that can set up in 1 turn and KO reliably.

    An effective, easy-to-use combo in Doubles is Telepathy Gardevoir and Rough Skin Garchomp. The Garchomp is pretty much standard (Earthquake/Rock Slide/Dragon Claw/Protect, holding a Life Orb or Rocky Helmet), and the Gardevoir should know Icy Wind, Dazzling Gleam, _Ally Switch_, and a move of your choice (preferably Helping Hand or Heal Pulse), holding Sitrus Berry or Leftovers. With that combo, you can take down almost any opponent... no, seriously.
    -If one (or both) of the opponents is faster than Garchomp, and can KO it, slow them down by using Icy Wind + Protect.
    -If one of the opponents is a Dragon-Type, use Ally Switch, eat the Dragon-type move with Gardevoir, and KO it with Dragon Claw.
    -If both are a threat to Garchomp (i.e., Dragon-types), use Dazzling Gleam or Icy Wind to weaken and/or slow them down, then pick them off with Dragon Claw and another Dazzling Gleam/Icy Wind next turn.
    -If you need just a bit of extra damage for your spread move, and its a threat to Gardevoir, use Helping Hand on Garchomp.
    -If you need raw damage against slow opponents, use a spread move with both.
    -Basically just use your best judgment to determine how to handle the situation.
    The best part is that they have excellent synergy, with Gardevoir's Ally Switch and Telepathy. With Telepathy, you can spam Earthquake freely, and Gardevoir can take Fairy, Ice, and (especially) Dragon-type attacks aimed at Garchomp, while Garchomp can take Steel and (especially) Poison-type attacks that target Gardevoir. If they're contact moves, then Garchomp's Rough Skin is just icing on the cake!
    Pokemon that work well in tandem with Gardechomp include: Mega Manectric, Gyarados, Gengar, Mega Kangaskhan, and of course (Mega) Salamence... it' a really fun and interesting combo, and doesn't get repetitive or monotonous, like a lot of other Doubles strategies!

      +Nin10Cats That sounds sooo cool but Gardevoir can't learn Ally Switch anymore since it's not a TM anymore... by any chance can you breed one for me? FC: 4442-2161-4589 Thanks :D

    So, I have to win a total of 70 battles, consecutively, in order to have a rematch with Wally? Nah.

      choppycho134 Initially, I thought we had to win 20 standard battles, unlock the super battles, and then win 50 of those. I'm guessing it's 20 standard battles, and then 30 super battles?

      Guess so.

    • @Ajaxster
      @Ajaxster 8 років тому +8

      no, you have to beat 20 consecutive battles in a normal category to unlock its respective super category then you have to win another 50 consecutive battles in the super category to win. thus giving you the trophy for the respective category and unlocking the wally rematch battle.

    I can easily sweep through normal singles and most of super singles until the usual bullshit opponent arrives that dodges all my attacks and lands all of his. My highest streak is only 13 on supers... I can't even imagine going beyond 20. Mainly because I don't really play competitively, I just use whatever pokemon I like.

    Strong pokemon are a requirement. Bringing a Tyranitar will get you a lot further than using your Pelliper.
    I recommend Pokemon such as: Greninja, Garchomp, Aegislash, Amoongus, Metagross, Chansey, Slurpuff, Hydreigon, Dragonite, Azumarill, mega Khanghaskhan/Mawhile/Salamence/Charizard, paraflinch Togekiss, a bunch of others and any legendary allowed that you can get your hands on.
    Also, bring something fast with taunt.

    My team that got me 50 super single wins was:
    Mega Scizor on lead
    -swords dance
    -bullet punch
    -bug bite
    -aerial ace
    Always start off with swords dance and it can take a good amount of hits that aren't fire type
    Greninja protean life orb
    -dark pulse
    -scald (for those lucky burns, don't want to take chances with missing a hydro pump)
    -extrasensory
    -ice beam
    Breloom technician max speed with focus sash
    -spore
    -rock tomb
    -bullet seed
    -force palm
    Breloom is really clutch. It saved me when I faced a Regigigas, Heatran, and Dragonite team.
    For the Nita battle I just used drizzle Politoed to start, Mega Swampert, and Greninja. Was a pretty easy battle.

    252 spd
    -Entrainment
    -The other 3 moves don't matter
    This is Durant. Without him the strategy is impossible. Entrainment the crippled pokemon truant and either let durant die or switch in on a truant turn to the next pokemon.

    Impossible to beat it. They made the AI much more difficult to beat. You have to be completely lucky to win unless you cheat your way. Ive been battling competitively for years. You have to play the computer deferent too. No matter what you bring in, it brings a counter for every pokemon and every move you use. You can have a perfect core and get completely swept by complete non sense. I wouldn't recommend challenging unless you have more than enough time in your life to keep going back. It will also break you, making you feel like you're getting close then it beats you, setting up sweeps, or toxic stall doesn't matter. I beat the one in XY but ORAS version is ridiculous.. Im sorry if i discourage some, but this is the truth.

      I got pretty far with dragonite(starter) with multi-scale, get to set up dd then outrage or extreme speed that depends if they did anything in their first turn then another dd with extreme speed should do the job. The only problem i have is sturdy, its like they got smarter and stop using counter but go for sturdy ability, but means nothing to my mega lucario or mega khan.

    • @Onishinob1
      @Onishinob1 9 років тому +5

      I had a lead khan with scrappy a eviolite chansey and a toxic heal gliscor. I lost to a physically bulky roseraid with giga drain, leech seed, protect and toxic. couldnt do anything to it at all. it was slowly outstalling my whole team. Very painful when i was at battle 48, almost there. I dont care about completing no more, its not worth stressing. I noticed one thing though, if you play too perfect, it will find a way to win. thats why they do stupid plays.

  • @Doomsdaytreecko

    Hey Verlis. A set my friend told me to use involved a lvl 1 Sturdy Aron with only Endeavour and Protect which also holds Berry Juice. This set works wonders on Double Battle Maison when comboed with Mega Kangaskhan. The AI will aim for the Aron 99% of the time because it thinks it can auto kill it. While the opponent focuses attack on Aron, Kangaskhan can just setup with Power-Up Punch before ruining the remaining pokemon with Sucker Punch, Return or Earthquake. I used this method to get over 100 wins in doubles

  • @chung2F5
    @chung2F5 8 років тому +8

    I mega-Kangaskhan-ed my way through my first time LOL Power-Up punch gives double attack boost and combine that with a max attack IV, EV, STAB Return, almost everyone was 1HKO except for Rock/Steel/Sturdy/Ghost PKMN. I only did this for the stupid Wally appearance.

    I'm actually doing doubles right now and I'm approaching 50
    Starting: Rotom-H (Overheat, Shadow Ball, Will-O-Wisp, Volt Switch, Leftovers, Modest)
    and Conkeldurr (Assault Vest, Guts, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Drain Punch, Hammer Arm)
    Extra: Snorlax (252def, 252 att, Sitrus Berry, Body Slam, Crunch, Wild Charge, Earthquake, Thick Fat)
    and Ferrothorn (Mixed Defences, Big Root, Power Whip, Iron Head, Protect, Leech Seed, Iron Barbs)
    Not afraid of set-ups or status conditions. The only real enemy are super effective critical hits which I don't necessarily come accross that often. Without those, I have no ohko-able pokemon and all of which hit very hard with no set-up needed.
    Edit: Yes Ferrothorn can be ohko'd by fire but when i say no ohko's i refer to the switches i can make, namely the thick fat snorlax and the rotom-h.

    All you need to beat super singles is Greninja, Dragonite and Darmanitan:
    Greninja, Protean - Timid 252 SpA and Speed, Focus sash, 1.Scald 2.Ice Beam 3.Dark Pulse 4.Grass Knot
    Dragonite, Multiscale - Adamant 252 Att and Speed, Lum Berry, 1.Outrage 2.Extreme Speed 3.Dragon Dance 4.Earthquake
    Darmanitan, Sheer Force- Adamant 252 Att and Speed, Choice Scarf, 1.Flare Blitz 2.Rock Slide 3.Superpower 4.Earthquake
    Greninja can usually take out at least one poke if not more due to the insane coverage or damage another leaving it low enough for Darmanitan or Dragonite to easily finish off, set up a dragon dance or 2 if there is a set up poke or one that can't do anything to Dragonite and its an easy ride from there as Darmanitan can do insane damage to things that even resist flare blitz

    In doubles I use Thundurus-I and Landorus-T lead with Aegislash and Sylveon bringing up the rear. Thundurus usually targets the pokemon Landorus-T can't hit with scarf EQ as well as shutting down weird sets. Thundurus carries Thunderbolt, Hidden Power Ice, Taunt and Thunder Wave, with Leftovers, Timid nature with Max SpA and Speed EVs, as well as IV spread of 31/X/X/31/31/31, completely legit. Landorus-T serves as a straight out physical offense pokemon with Choice Scarf. It carries EQ, Rock Slide, Superpower and U-turn. It's Adamant natured with Max Atk and Speed EVs, IV spread of 31/31/31/X/X/31. Sylveon is pretty much there to spam Specs Hyper Voice but carries coverage. Aegislash is also there to provide coverage. Sylveon is Max HP Max SpA Modest nature with IV spread of 31/X/31/31/31/31. Aegislash is Max HP Max SpA with Quiet Nature holding Weakness Policy. It has an IV spread of 31/31/31/31/31/0. I've had a win streak of 68 with that team.

    I found doubles to be easy in the super format. I ran Slyveon, Mega Salamance, Zapdos, and Conkeldurr, helping hand double edge OHKOs many things, even shuckle, and Hyper Voice is an excellent spread with pixilate. Once you hit about 47 wins you will encounter Sargent douche bag, or the guy who uses a double teaming, toxic stall Cressalia, but I was able to PP stall him with Zapdos; roost and swapping resets the toxic counter. If you are having trouble, memorize the sets, as a lot of them are similar and try again.

    I've had a lot of luck with my rock polish Golem, max attack, max hp. Earthquake takes out most things in early rounds, I can sweep flying teams with rock blast, and fairies go down to heavy slam. Then if they get past my Golem, then there's my Weavile and my Latias to get through as well. It appears to me that the best strategy is really just to hit hard.

  • @nevets2371

    If you're having trouble, try Weavile, Arcanine, Sableye on singles, in that order. This team got me to battle #50 first attempt, then weavile got outsped by the Chantelaine's forces of nature and she ended up beating me 1-0. Weavile has a focus sash, knows ice punch, ice shard, knock off and brick break (not too useful but nice to have for coverage). Arcanine has a life orb, knows extreme speed (good for easily taking out those pokemon whom weavile leaves in the red), flare blitz, wild charge and outrage (good for straight damage) he's a bulkier arcanine so he can finish off a few pokemon. I decided not to go with mega sableye in favor of the rocky helmet, helps take out the phisical sweepers that much faster. It knows will o wisp, recover, calm mind and dark pulse ( I decided to go with dark pulse because it offers the same benefits as shadow ball (stab, strong vs ghost and psychic) but also doesn't get walled out by pyroar ( or anything else for that matter, but I did have a situation where it was just my sableye vs a pyroar) plus you get the chance to flinch.

    The triples team for this is way better-gets to at least 60-70 battles with few difficulties, if any.
    Team is Ludicolo, Politoed and Kingdra, with Gastrodon, Bisharp, Conkeldurr in the back. Obviously rain team, but with the swift swim, you outspeed everything. Spamming surf you can KO at least 2 pokemon in most games.

    How to win:
    1.Use a fast pokemon with Memento and use it first turn (Whimsicott, Jumpluff, Latios).
    2.Go into a poke that can raise it's speed and an attacking stat (Cloyster, Dragons, Slurpuff).
    3.Wreck

    Mega Banette on left scarfed greninja mid
    Huge power sitrus* berry Diggersby on right
    First turn, mega evolve, use mat* block, use skill swap on greninja, make sure Diggersby is faster and shift to the left. And there you go. A huge power pokemon with a base attack stat of 165. Good luck with them shadow sneaks and sucker punches. Just watch out for fake out. And for Diggersby, give him confide so he can neutralize sp attackers and quick attack for sturdy users. DeBOMBs88 well if you have a pokemon with forest's curse and you use it on any pokemon then you'd be able to hit neutral on any pokemon besides flash fire steel pokemon because you have poison and fire. Also if you prankster this on a eviolite phamtump/terevenant with a sitrus berry/lefties you can have fun with priority subs and leech seeds. As for Banette's moves I'd go with swords dance/ sucker punch , shadow sneak, Sucker punch/protect and skill swap ^^ enjoy that humongous power boost

      Idk much about doublade but it really brings you down with those weaknesses. Unless you want to counter them with a spirit tomb/sitrus/infestation/toxic/protect/foul play then idk since it's only weakness is fairy and it's great for stall against things that aren't steel (chandelure will kill them) and physically since that's where it has the most resistances

    • @AmanDisini
      @AmanDisini 8 років тому

      +TheColossalD is your blissey natural cure or regenerator? Because if they're going for hax strats, try switching in your Bold Natural Cure Blissey, and take them down with Seismic Toss and switch to gliscor if they use a physical attacker. I've done it on my second try (lost is the first try on the 44th round).

    • @TheColossalD
      @TheColossalD 8 років тому

      ***** Blissey doesn't have the Regenerator ability, but does have natural cure. But the ability my Blissey has is Serene Grace, which increases the chance to burn one of the enemies with flamethrower. So yeah,I have a Bold Serene Grace Blissey. BTW, I did this in Multi Battle with Steven, and he started with his Aerodactyl, while I started with Mega Kankaskan, and I used the flinching technique, which took me two tries. It was a success.

    • @AmanDisini
      @AmanDisini 8 років тому +1

      +TheColossalD Well good for you. So you managed to finish up to 50. But I actually have more use of Natural Cure rather than Serene Grace since my Blissey actually can soak up damage and take toxic for longer turns. Switch out and switch in back and you can Soft Boiled back up. Usually I stalled toxic using both my Blissey and Gliscor.

    There is a much better strategy that i believe should work. Get a rogenrola with sturdy or breed one and make sure you enter eith a level 1 regenrooa with sturdy leftovers and the move toxic. With sturdy you live at 1 and regen all the health back from leftovers because level 1 and the enemy is 50. You use toxic while the opponent withers away and you cant die in one hit so you just relaxe for the poison and keep going.

    For my super singles team I have a full adamant team. First I have an unburden adamant slurpuff running aromatherapy, drain punch, play rough, and belly drum with a sitrus berry. Then I have a adamant aegislash with life orb. I used my bp and got the wrong item. I got a choice scarf instead of choice band. On aegislash I run sacred sword, swords dance, shadow sneak, and iron head. Idk if I should get rid of iron head and put iron defense on it. Then I run mega kangaskan adamant. It runs with fake out, power up punch, sucker punch, and return. You would think this would be an unstoppable team right? Wrong. I got swept twice by 2 different sets of crobat. Of course the confuse ray goes first and I get swept. Wtf why? I hate crobat :(
