- A Point-Of-View Test Drive on a 2023 Kia Forte LXS. The LXS is, for almost all intents and purposes, the base model Forte, and it is an affordable compact sedan. But does it drive better than a Honda Civic? Or a Toyota Corolla? Let's find out!

The 23 also does come with a sport mode that makes acceleration not to bad.
Mine is a 2022 LXS trim. This one is exactly identical to mine. I love this car.
I just bought a 23 lxs and it did come with the blend spot and adaptive cruise features.

What up dood, I really liked this video. Your civic vs forte bit is spot on lol! I'm going test drive a forte tomorrow.
Thank you for watching!
This car is way better than you are leading us to believe. I have a 21 Rio and it is an amazing car and I would buy it again.. I may think about moving up to the LX S just because I could use a little more room. I love the way the Rio drives and handles and it is the perfect city car that does very well on the hi way and for under $20,000 if no dealer markup.
Test drove a 2022 GT-Line and it was a great little car for the money. Around town in a just about perfect but once I got on the freeway the ride was a bit choppier than I like plus the road noise was a bit high. Test drive a used 2019 VW Jetta shortly after and it was quieter and smoother on the freeway. Didn't get either one though.
I've got the 2022 lxs , I feel that the engine performance is way underated it feels faster
I actually like sport mode because it makes the steering wheel stiffer
This is likely going to be my next car. Either the 2023 or 2022 models will do fine.
check with your insurance company if they will cover a 2022. mine wouldn’t give me full coverage and i couldn’t find one for a decent price that offers full coverage with the whole car stealing issue with Kia’s and Hyundai’s. just be sure you get full coverage if you want it on your new car! helped me decide to get the 2023 forte LXS rather then a 2020 elantra!
I bought one at kia lxs last year I love the car didn't come with spare to tire and the car is over priced from 20k to 30k I felt it was too much
Just bought a 2023 forte lxs out the door 26000 I traded in other wise 25000 Corolla wanted 30000 Subaru wanted 30000 so I’m happy theses prices on fortes are not true dealers add on things like my Kia they are marked up Kia to not as bad this the two month study an buying one the truth looked at Kia last glad I did so I paid 26000 out the door it is the truth not fake news
I bought one of the LXS models and have been getting 44 mpg during my commute to work. I feel that if people are looking at this car wanting a powerful and fast car, they are looking at the wrong car. They need to be at a higher price point. I needed a commute car and have been very happy with this car.
Same here man sold a 97 chevy k1500 pickup and I am gettin wayyyyyy better gas milage no gas fumes only thing I miss mu straight pipes lol
Does this trim level have cruise control? I use that A LOT!
The LXS does include standard cruise control, but if you want the Smart (adaptive) cruise control you have to step up to a higher trim level.
I bought a 23' Forte for my daughter. Hope the engine will last.
Do your oil changes on time and keep all the receipts just in case it ever needs a warranty repair under the 10 year/100k warranty. It should be fine
$19,900 in today's automotive world is a very good price to pay for a new car!
Does model has blind spot monitor?
You have to get the LXS technology package for blind spot monitors
Is it good for new driver?
Yes, I think this car would be a very good choice for a young driver
The LXS cost 500 dollar more but the LX gives you 2 more gallons per mile, not sure why but that is enough difference for me to pick the LX.
The difference in MPG is due to the difference in wheel size. The bigger rims on the LXS are heavier so less MPG
@@CarDietrich thanks, i could never figure out the reason, I bought a new 2021 forte FE instead of LXS due to the 2 extra miles per gallon with gas prices so high.
I have a 2023 lxs i have blind spot warnings
You must have the LXS Technology Package, the car I reviewed did not have that
Road noise was ok?
Road noise was not bad at all, more than acceptable for the class
@@CarDietrich Just got an uber ride in one and we were on the highway.. It was silent tbh. Though, the bumps seemed rough. I think it's good. Just cant afford the 32k total price for something like a civic so this is better
