Damn! Tey are taking it to a whole new level! Best things are the inbuilt calculator & the custom folder setup! That'll save a heck of a lot of time!
That's so amazing feature, Lumix did listen to the consumers, specially timelapse related

In English calculations are done "in my head" , which is I think the idiom you were searching for. Or you can say "just off the top of my head" if you just estimate and don't actually do the math.
Nice features! Hopefully Panasonic will add to the S series cameras through a Firmware update.

For the first 2 minutes I couldnt focus much coz I was repeating in my head the word "G Heytch 6" over and over again haha . Interesting way you pronounce it :D

Hey Matthew what camera does Lumix has the unlimited time lapse feature on it
The timer features is nice. But the others are only situational. Nice to have if you think you need it, but not necessary or missed if you don't have that option.
I do use most of the Lumix built in timelapse features most of the time FYI! And even it is situational, it's still nice of them to put stuff like that in, especially when you look at all the other features they add etc!
@@MatthewVandeputte But I can live without the 2 second wait timer to 'save the first shot'. And my GH5 seems to automatically separate my TL photos without any input from me most of the time. I've never considered it a problem if I had to do it manually on my computer. But that does leave the set a start timer for a time of day an interesting feature I must admit. That once I got it I probably could not live without it! lol
But will it go over 1 second in aperture mode? That's what I would think timelapsers would want the most.
Haven't checked that yet!

I currently use gopro hero 10 for timelpases and im getting good results, What would you say would be the next step up in a camera ?
Something that allows you to shoot tighter framing and more pixels!

Is it possible to make 10 bit timelapse on the camera? I've got the g9 but it makes jpeg or raw. Jpeg as I know is an 8 bit format, and raw requiers a lot of post processing... but when I search on google it's hard to find anything about 10 bit timelapses or HDR timelapses for example. (It shows totally different things) I know that the camera can record in 10 bit, but does this camera have an easy way to make a 10 bit video from a timelapse? Or does it have an option to make an HDR timelapse video? Something in rec2020?
It can render a 4K 10bit 100 Mbit sequence from photos recorded in timelapse mode. It's not in HDR or rec2020 as far as I know, you can create those files yourself using another tutorial I made on my channel about HDR timelapses

I just got one of these and am having fun learning how to use it. I was wondering, when shooting Timelapse sequences, do you use the mechanical or electronic shutter?
I usually use electronic shutter

Panasonics has been great with their timelapse menu. Wish sony had the same lapse menu and features. Oh well, no such thing as the perfect camera, eh? Still though... Most cameras these days are great! Used a GH5 for 6 months in Africa. It did everything for me (except autofocus properly!)!
Haha yeah the AF is tricky!! What are you lacking in the Sony menus? I'm hoping to get my hands on an A5C for some content soon.
@@MatthewVandeputte nice! A quick render of the lapses like on the panasonics would be great. Same with making folders for each lapse and that function on the gh6 where you set desired length of the lapse. Looks great! Sonys are awesome though. That eye AF for unpredictable wildlife just locks on… had S1 before which was great for lapses. Made some cool stuff with it. Now its all about sony 😬
