my lock screen would show a different image daily until yesterday when it suddenly showed an image i opened on my external hard drive. i changed the personalization setting to windows spotlight but now all i get is a pre-installed Microsoft blue image. i want the previous setting where there would be a new image everyday, how do i get that back?

My problem was that when I go to choose pictures, and when I select a different picture to display, it just keeps loading but doesn't display the chosen picture, keeps reverting back to the recent picture displayed. The picture is just enough size, but I don't get it why it's not allowing me to change after browsing for a different picture. Tried to restart after choosing windows spotlight or slideshows, but nothing gets fixed. Do you have any solution to this?

@@arashgaming4844 found a solution bro hehe, but it's gonna take a lot of time though.. it's because i deleted the windows old folder, so I reinstalled my windows 11, it fixed the issue.

What worked for me was resizing the image. I had picture at 4k that just kept loading when I tried to make it my lock screen picture. I scaled it down to 80% size with paint(dot)net (program) and it loaded instantly. Also the file format is .png.

I have been trying for almost a year, at least from your video, I have made some progress. After all 3 steps my constant Wallpaper is gone and now just a black screen is lock screen [2nd step did this]
I can change after logging in to any picture but after any restart it will come back to its original pic , but at least this time its black. Any Idea what to do. I have done sfc scan, dism clean along with the normal steps and this time your 3 methods. For another username which I created- it behaves normally but for my username it will not just change. I thought of a process maybe try cloning my user but I think its not possible but even it does, its a bit risky as I myself do not remember the various settings and customization done by me to cross check later. I also have no system restore points. PLEASE HELP
And OS is win 11 Home 21H2 22000.1880

For me same thing happened so in that case whatever u deleted from this %USERPROFILE%/AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets " folder just restore it then it will work and also image will change as well
